  1. If this is true, I'm sorry. But you clearly did see the tie -- you asked me and Lopen to fix it later. Why didn't you drop your vote then? In the end, I'll feel safer with you dead, and as Aman pointed out, your death will gain us information about Rae. Sorry, but it looks like you're going to die.
  2. Ignore Darkness's mention. I can't delete it on mobile. He sent it 19 hours ago, just minutes after he created the tie, and less than an hour before rollover. Yes, that is why I am voting on him, and after looking over the posts last cycle, my vote holds firm. Note that he did not ask us to switch our votes to Aman -- he simply asked us to break the tie, as though it were some unforeseen circumstance, and not a fait accompli he was presenting us with. There is no question that he was making a desperate attempt to pull Doc out of the fire. It is possible, I suppose, that he "just didn't think Doc was an Elim". I would be far more inclined to believe that if he had approached the issue directly and rationally, instead of with deception and manipulation. Anyone who has played with me for some time knows I don't react well when villagers deceive other villagers. If you genuinely are a Villager, I'm sorry, but I won't regret this decision.
  3. Yes, Len, I can confirm. And I will therefore put my vote on Jondesu. I'm much less sure of this one, though, so I may change once I've had the time to do some analysis on cycle 1.
  4. No, I'm talking about Doc's most recent post. You implied that your vote switch was a response to it.
  5. I don't follow, Lopen. That post made you want to vote for him? Why? I actually want to drop my vote now, except that it would create a tie, and Doc is still my best suspicion. What made you switch to him?
  6. Oh dear. I very nearly forgot I was playing this game until it was too late. Well, I'm here now. I read village on Lopen, but then, I generally do. Something about him has a tendency to slip past my meager defenses -- and since I'm already way too trusting, that's saying something. That said, I see no reason as of yet to believe he is an Eliminator. In every game I have worked with him before, rules analysis has formed a large part of our interactions. Like me, he has a knack for spotting tactics that exploit the rules to his advantage. I can't really fault him for trying to make use of it, especially when I would have done the same if he hadn't. Ecth is behaving erratically, aggressively, and irrationally -- but for all that, I don't have much of an Elim read on him. I feel like he would have been able to recover better by now if he had allies to bounce posts off of. I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now; too much more of this may change my mind, though. Instead, I'm going to put my vote on Doc. I'm having trouble putting my finger on it, but something about his mannerisms just seems... off. As though he's forcing posts to seem active and helpful, but doesn't really have his heart in them. This, for example, seems very artificial to me: It almost feels like it should be read with a knowing wink thrown in at the end. Also, Lopen made this exact same point -- with some of the same wording, even -- in that first post of his that started all this hullabaloo. So yeah, Doc is my strongest suspicion right now.
  7. Changing my name to Dr. Relin. There's been so many non-brandon games lately that I nearly forgot about the Abundance. EDIT: though on second thought, maybe I should go with AliasSheep...
  8. Well, I'm in. I'll be Relin, a merchant of fairly high renown before the Collapse. For most, including Quellion, I'm little better than a nobleman, but since he can't prove that I have any noble blood, hes forced to leave me be... For now.
  9. You realize you're asking for a 50-season show, yes? Way of Kings can't stand on its own, as most of the novel is buildup for things to come. This is one of the biggest fundamental issues with adapting the Storm light Archive -- it's long. Even the ten-season show you would need to do this like Game of Thrones is asking for a lot -- and Stormlight does not have near the chance of catching on that that did. I can't think of a way to run a Stormlight show that won't get cancelled after one season. All the stuff in WoK that will appeal most to the masses occurs at the end, so by the time you play it, you will have lost your chance to grab an audience. Movies are the only way to do it. I agree with Chaos and others that making this the first movie is a worrying prospect. But it needs to get a movie, not a show. For the record, I think just Kaladin or even Kaladin and Dalinar would make a much better film. Shallan is the one who throws a wrench in the works, as her story does not weave into the other two whatsoever.
  10. Yeah, I think most of us had guessed. I'm torn on what to do. I understand why you aren't enjoying yourself, and I sincerely wish there was some way for me to make it better or end it. But on the other hand, losing the ability to send PMs during the day is a heavy loss. In the end, it's in my best interests to keep you alive. I hope you can understand that, and that your experience this game isn't too negative. I'm genuinely sorry for trying to keep you in a game that you clearly want out of. Can I get a vote tally from somebody? EDIT: I did it myself: Araris (2): Nyali, PK Nyali (3): Stink, Araris, Aonar Yafeshan (1): Wonko Stink, I agree that was a terrible excuse for why to lynch Araris. However, as Nyali admitted, that wasn't her actual motivation. She was just lynching to lynch. And, more relevantly, that wasn't why PK voted for him, and he never even claimed it was. Araris was simply the most lynchable target other than Nyali, and he wanted to keep Nyali alive. (Though, PK, I will point out that Yafeshan was and continues to be just as lynchable, and doesn't have any other players fighting to keep him alive). That reasoning is absolutely valid.
  11. Stink, you're smart enough to know that that observation has nothing to do with Nyali. You didn't call for PK to switch to Nyali, you called for him to lynch anyone -- anyone at all -- other than Araris. What's so special about him that PK needs to move his vote? And for the record, "just voting for the other one with a vote" is exactly the right move if you want to prevent the leading lynch. The only reason you wouldn't do so is if you had some reason to want the second-placer alive too.
  12. All right, since Stink is clearly in a faction with Araris, why don't you come join me in lynching Yafeshan, guys? I also want Nyali to keep breathing, and everyone can agree that inactivity is bad, right?
  13. Well, now I feel bad. "Bad gut read?" Mage, what are you talking about? This is a faction game. If I'm not in your doc, I'm an enemy. What are you relying on your gut for? Anyway, at this stage of the game, I'd much rather lynch an inactive like Yafeshan.
  14. Ah, right, I forgot Bard multiplied all the numbers by 10. The Post Office and Clacks are not, but at least some Post Officers and Clacks Workers are. The rules explicitly remind us that the Unlicensed Thief will still be one or the other, and there is an implication that this applies to other players. "Post Office" is not an alignment. Also, there's this clarification: "The Post Office/Clacks deal will only directly affect the Post Office Master and Clacks Master's win con directly."
  15. Maybe Mort will take over. I don't think the Post Office and Clacks are factions. The only people who care about the struggle between them are the Postmaster and the Clacks Master. I'm pretty sure all it means to be a Postman is that you get thruppence every night. @The Young Bard, am I right about this? So no, unless you are the Postmaster, you are not a "Post Officer with no other alignment".
