  1. So are you just going to keep on digging up old posts. is this the only way you can find a place someone double posts?
  2. So kind of like an organization of people with the intent of protecting the defenseless

    A clue?

That doesn’t seem to follow regular compounding With everything else it runs out after a time and also with everything else there’s nothing special about that specific metalmind. With Coppermind once you burn that memory it’s gone, right? Would he be constantly storing the memories he’s compounding in a Coppermind and then compound that? Like a never ending memory.

    A clue?

But what would happen after he burned his first Coppermind. Would he lose the memory forever. Maybe I’m misunderstood compounding but how would he constantly burn and keep his memories.
  5. I don’t know how surprising this is as it’s in an introduction to one of the books ( I don’t know which one) Issac Stewart introduced Brandon to his wife on a blind date
  6. True though rule seems like the wrong word He was a leader once on a hundred years when the Heralds broke That’s probably right and would fix my problem with the language
  7. Very nicely done on the Roast kingsdaughter
  8. Just to get a clear consensus on this as I can’t understand a single thing @BenduLuke says or @therunner in a single one on one fight who would win And in a protracted war who would win And please don’t bring college level physics into it
  9. I find it weird that Rayse would have ‘ruled’ he was locked on braise for 4,500 thousand years and never was a big influence on anyone but the parsh post-humans coming to Roshar. The only broken one is Tanavast as he is semi alive in the Stormfather as his CS and cultivation retreated for that long period of time.
  10. It says allowed to meet at urithiru I think that implies they will leave it untouched
  11. And @The One Ring just got a 12 hour win
  12. School just went to Zoom. *sigh* guess I’ll be on the Shard a lot more for the next few days
  13. Isn’t there a distance impact like the farther you are away the less it works So how would that effect a Spanread on a different planet
  14. Oroden I believe Yes but Gavinor would be a fun way to turn someone Dalinar loves against him. Also there can be a way to pin Elhokars death on Dalinar. I’m sure Taravangian can find a way which would turn Gavinor to the ‘dark side’ And Oraden is a little young for it he’s like 3 But the essence of the theory is someone that Dalinar won’t kill so he would technically work
  15. That would be protecting, All the innocent that the bombs will kill. Every soldier in war is fighting to protect the ones they left out home I expect the Windrunners would use a different method than Skybreakers would but they would preemptively attack a facility I believe
  16. He already kills to protect others. All the time. In one book he has a flash back scene with tukks his squadleader where he realizes he can kill. He is also constantly killing men in Amaram army and he kills Parshendi on the shattered plains And to save Teft he kills a singer.
  17. no I have never finished a mesechta of Gemara And if you have wow... that’s great I’ve finished mishnoyos though TPBM Knows someone that finished shishei sidrai mishnah
  18. That seems to violate the entire order as it is completely selfish I know these are a dime a dozen but I’ll repeat mine “I will kill those I love to protect.”
  19. That would make a-lot of sense! If I’m understanding you correctly your saying that the more your Connected to the Oathpact the more it’s ‘breaking’ affected you This would really explain the different variations of madness among the Heralds And as Taln was the sole bearer for a while he would really be affected upon breaking
  20. If Dalinar becomes one of the Fused does he keep his Bond to the Stormfather I wouldn’t see why not Does going to the Cognitive Realm sever Connections?
  21. My favorite interpretation of this is that Taln was “carrying” most of the madness of all the Heralds but when he broke they all got worse in the madness This is backed up by Kalak saying “we’re getting worse we weren’t supposed to be getting worse” (Paraphrased) But it doesn’t fit the timing of when Taln broke allegedly (end of WoK) Because Ishar was already crazy then Although there is a ton of weird stuff about Taln breaking
  22. Well this seems to be addressed in OB when Dalinar saves the Shadesmar group from the Fused. I am not sure but Kaladin doesn’t seem to be to perturbed by this unless I’m wrong
  23. I don’t think their well suited to it Its just that the tought themselves some skills in their thousands of years of life everyone took 1 skill it’s not that hard
