  1. "Your honor," the prosecution stood up, "as well as the ladies and gentlemen of the jury. The defendant is being charged with multiple cases of first and second degree murder, terrorism, manslaughter, breaking and entering, vandalism, and destruction of property. There are several witnesses that have identified that the defendant was not only at the scene of the crimes, but also that he was the perpetrator of the crimes that have been presented. We not only have witnesses, but security footage as well as forensic evidence placing the defendant at the many scenes of the crimes." The prosecution turned towards the defendant and his lawyer, "how do you plead?"
  2. Hi Tanith, and welcome to the Shard! I myself am not very good at drawing, but I know for a fact that there are many people on the Shard who are incredibly skilled (in my opinion), so you'll find yourself in good company. Do you have a specialization in what you draw, or is it more along the lines of "whatever the heck I please?"
  3. I like a wide range of genres, most notably strategy, rpgs, and fps games, all for different reasons of course. My more notable favorites are games like Halo, Age of Empires, Stellaris, Republic Commando, Skyrim, and Command and Conquer. I'm trying to expand the amount of games that I play, but I haven't set up the proper hardware yet.
  4. Welcome aboard Kerbal Radiant! I myself am a casual gamer, and so I dabble in a lot of different types of games, so I'd like to ask if you had a game thats stood out as your all time favorite, or if instead you had a favorite genre of video games. (I'm not sorry, but I had to)
  5. Hey Cole, and welcome to the Shard! I myself love a good interconnected universe, so the Cosmere was an instant favorite as I learned more. As a way to get to know you better, I hope that you don't mind answering a few questions. The first of which would be if you could do anything without any bad consequences, what would that be? The second question would be if you had to choose a fictional world to enter (besides the Cosmere), then which world would it be?
  6. As Rotcennoc cracked out of existence on the monitor, Dr Stirling immediately began writing notes while speaking to his aid. "15-61 has breached containment! Get the facility on lockdown and find out where the devil he went!" As one aid ran off to make the report, another came to check up on him as the sirens began to blare. Dr Stirling only gave him a moment's glance before shouting more orders, "get me Director K immediately, this is connected to the Burning Sky Incidents. We need that entity back in containment now!"
  7. Pior spoke as he put his weapon away. "If you're looking for betrayal, then I wouldn't get your hopes up kid; this guy is as boringly loyal as they come."
  8. Hello and welcome to the Shard @beheraswaroop! I can understand a little bit of what you went through with no one to talk about, it used to be my brother and myself talking about Sanderson stuff, and now he's not going to be open to talk about that stuff for another three years, so I feel like I know a little bit about where you're coming from. It's kinda difficult to not talk to someone about this amazing universe that Sanderson has created if you ask me. Quick question because you've piqued my interest (and already have answered the vast majority of my Sanderson based questions), is there a story behind your Username?
  9. Welcome to the Shard! In order to gain a better understanding of the type of person you are I must ask you a question, feel free to ignore it I guess. If you could meet any character from the Cosmere, who would it be and why? Optional Bonus Question: Besides the Cosmere, do you have a favorite inter-connect universe?
  10. 'I mean, I was just spitballing. I do think that it would be better to just not fight them. You got any bright ideas Hot Eyes?" @Channelknight Fadran
  11. "We could just kill them." Pior looked to everyone else, gaging their reactions.
  12. Kuno raised an eyebrow at first, but then nodded solemnly. "Well, you are indeed a fascinating person Ms 'Jane.' You are right of course; this world is filled with so many people, and so many of them don't want to work together, however, if there is to be any chance of humanity withstanding the coming storm, we must make sacrifices. Throughout all of my years, I've been constantly surprised with the resilience of humanity when faced with terrible consequences. You say that it would be a difficult, no, an impossible battle to unite humanity together and face this threat; I say that when faced with extinction, is there truly a choice? Not just your extinction mind you, but of all of those around you, men, women, children, all of them have been slated for death, is that something that you will sit down and allow, or if given the choice, would you stand against them? I've already made my choice, but I want to hear what yours would be, if you were confronted with it this very moment."
  13. "We are the O-N-A Foundation, and what's in those cells are not your concern at this moment. Do yourself a favor and pray that you never meet what's in those cells." The sound of paper rustling came over the speaker, "entity 15-61, do you have a name that you call yourself?"
  14. The prosecution attorney stood up and bowed his head to the judge, "I am ready, your honor." The attorney was nearly 6 foot, and dressed in a fine maroon tailcoat and vest, accented by a clean white cravat around his neck. His hair was long and mostly brushed back, with his bangs parted to the sides in order to give a clear view of his face. He straightened his cuffs and glanced towards Cruz, and his facial expression began to look arrogant.
  15. With this dismissal, Olivier backed away from Lorena, obviously intimidated. He watched Dawn to see what she would do.
  16. There was another moment of silence, "very good. Entity 15-61, you stated that you had questions, do you still wish to voice them?"
  17. Olivier cleared his throat again, "yes well, he uh, he outlined everything he wanted you to include in the negotiations on a uh, a piece of paper." Olivier started patting his pockets, searching for where he had placed the paper. After a few seconds of searching, his face started to turn red and he started stammering, "I know I placed it . . . somewhere. Ah, here it is!" Olivier produced an envelope from one of his pockets and offered it to Lorena. The envelope had the Chairman of Commerce's seal on it, which was still closed.
