    Caden glanced over his shoulder a she was about to leave, "no." Caden turned and walked up to Darrin before drawing his blade again. When he got within striking distance, he flipped the blade around so that he was holding his backwards and smacked Darrin's head with the hilt. Caden replaced his blade, looking pleased with himself. "Now take him to the dungeon!"

    The guard who had stayed outside of the room jumped as Jasper seemingly materialized after darting through the door, drawing his blade and cursing. "Raise the alarm!"
  3. The Ward's Guard
    Caden only growled more as he stood up straight to tower over Darrin. "Take this one straight to the dungeon! I want him in the most secure holding cell we have, you understand!" The guardsmen nodded, and three of them gathered around Darrin as the two who were still holding his arms pulled him to his feet. The squad master barked orders at the men as they left the room. Caden followed them and was confronted by a messenger as he exited the impromptu holding chamber. "Sir, I have news from the guest-list. It seems that the prisoner that your holding is telling the truth." Caden scowled at the messenger before brushing him away, "I will still hold him here for breaking the lockdown! The king can deal with him after that." The general gestured for two of his men to follow him, "come, now I must deal with the child." The guards looked to each other, then on of them shrugged and entered the room. "They're loose, you say?"

    Caden growled deep in his throat before swishing the sword to his side, away from Darrin. The general sneered, "if you so badly want the Ravenness to work on you, then who am I to refuse you?" Caden put his sword away as several men entered the room with steel manacles, he gestured towards Darrin and they moved to place them onto his wrists. "I'll be there assassin," Caden loosely grabbed Darrin's chin, "even if you can't see me. You're screams will be like music to my ears." Caden gave a malicious smile before he backhanded the assassin on the cheek.

    Caden approached Darrin as two of his men grabbed the assassin by his arms and placed them behind him, trying to force him onto his knees. Caden placed the tip of his blade on Darrin's collarbone, pressing it down until he could see blood. "Do not play games with me boy! If you don't tell me, then I have no qualms over sending you to the Ravennes; I'm sure she's be far less tolerable of your little games."

    Mustachio just rolled his eyes, "yeah ok. You tell me that, then next thing I know either one or two hours later the whole problem is solved by the kid down the street. Listen, I really gotta get moving; my nemesis is going to be showing up any time now, and I can't be late to my own evil plan." Mustachio started to walk around. "Uh, where is the uh, the exit?"

    The general growled at his guards, "seize him!" The two guardsmen in the room stepped forward to grab Darrin. Caden ran a finger along the edge of his blade, "I need you to talk, so I can't kill you. However, you don't need your fingers to speak."

    Mustachio shook his head, "now that was uncalled for."

    Caden growled at the comparison. His stance changed from arrogant to wary as he watched Darrin's movements closely. "Oh? An assassin with a backbone? " Caden chuckled.

    Caden shouted in anger, tossing Darrin to the ground. "I have no time for this, assassin!" Caden drew his blade, "I may not be able be able to kill you yet, but I can make you suffer! Now tell me, who hired you!"

    "This seems to be going absolutely nowhere." Mustachio checked his wrist, which was bare. "My goodness would you look at the time, my nemesis will be getting to my lab soon, and I'll need to be there to trap her. I hate to teleport and run, but someone here destroyed by device, so I can't transport my way out of here the same way that I came in."

    Caden snarled, and when he approached Darrin he tried to grab him by his collar just as he did with Jasper. "I can kill you where you stand boy, now tell me! Why did you try to kill the King!"

    Olivier backed away from the pair and started to explore the area. He wasn't sure when the assembly itself began, but even still he was going to be incredibly busy. After all, his work wouldn't do itself.

    Caden burst through the door into the room that they were keeping Derrin and marched straight up to the would-be assassin, "why did you try to assassinate the King!"

    Mustachio stroked his facial hair. "If I could offer any advice, hope for a nemesis that doesn't talk much. You would think that having a nemesis that talks a lot will give you a lot of constructive criticism, but it just turns into a taunting match most of the time, you know? Like, I get it, the taunts are fun, but they'll be times when silence would have spoken louder if you know what I mean. I still love the taunting and all the verbal dueling, but you don't want someone who talks too much, right? Once when you do, they'll be shouting at you and interrupting you when you're saying your evil plan and blah blah blah. I mean, I get it that you have something to say, but sometimes you just need to let someone else talk for a bit, you know?"

    Caden growled as he glared at the man in his grip before tossing him back. "Bah! You can't keep your secrets forever boy, but I can't waste my time on you!" Caden turned and took several steps towards the door before glancing back, "unfortunately, the King doesn't like me killing his guests. However, if you're not on the guest-list like you say . . ." Caden chuckled instead of ending the sentence and opened the door to step out.

    Mustachio talked on casually, "well I've been told that I misread or completely miss social cues a lot, so that wouldn't surprise me if you did mean that. Are you guys new here? Ooh, have you even met your nemesis's yet?"

    Caden stood up violently, throwing aside his chair. "Don't play games with me boy! I don't care for the dance of politics!" Caden approached Jasper, grabbed the front of his shirt, and pulled him in close. "Who commanded you to attack the King!"

    'I'll admit, I was really on the fence about that. Because I've never seen you guys at con, and everybody who's anybody goes to the con. So then you guys must be new, but I thought to myself, 'you kidding, these guys? There's no way that they're new to this thing, whatever it is that they're doing.' So what's your evil plan, and when are your nemesis's supposed to get here?"

    "Oh, this is your cave? I'll admit, it's got a nice and homey feel to it, you know, with a bit of a rusti-" Mustachio stopped abruptly, and slapped his forehead. "Oh, Oh I get it now! This is an evil lair, and you guys are bad guys! That makes more sense than my mini-circus theory, but I guess it's not as exciting."

    "If I had a dime every time someone had randomly appeared in this cave, I'd have two dimes." Mustachio considered it for a moment, "I mean, I know that's not a lot, but it's weird that has happened twice. Especially when I was one of those times, because this never happens to me. Normally my nemesis is there to stop me right before I activate my evil device, but sh-" "Oh, near some Quantatainium, but that's about all that I know."

    Caden drummed his fingers slowly on the table, "I know that you were involved in the attack somehow boy; not even the greatest fool would sneak his way into the King's castle if he couldn't find his invitation!"

    Mustachio jumped shortly after Concerto did, except he jumped away from the cheetah. "Cheese and crackers, take it easy!"

    Caden placed a clenched fist on the table, "if you thought that you had no invitation on you, why would you try to get in?"
