  1. If he thought he would lose to a two one one, which is already something that I hesitate to believe after he killed both Devotion and Dominion, why not go for a Shard that isn't with another Shard? He didn't have to attack them right after Ambition. He could've gone for Endowment or Autonomy. I seriously question why both of them even would want a oathpact before fighting to the death. I would think Odium would want to use any dirty trick he could to kill them, and bounding himself to something seems against his nature, seeing as he avoided investing himself anywhere, probably to hold an edge in a fight. I worded that badly. I meant that he can try and splinter them without an oathpact, there isn't a prerequisite that the only way he could do anything was with a pact, which is a point some people above had made and I am completely against. Whether or not you made the point, just thought it needed to be said. And again, they didn't make one! he bound Odium to Braize to imprison him, he didn't need to make an oathpact for that to happen, similar to how Preservation didn't need to make an oathpact to trap Ruin and focus his power in Atium. There is no oathpact between the two.
  2. Why? Why would he agree to that when he can just kill them? The guy is a much better fighter than Honor or Cultivation. At this point, we're saying that pacts are the only way he can kill them, which is not the case. They can splinter them any time they like, as seen with Ruin splintering Preservation. Remember, he killed Honor. I do not agree that he made a pact, it sounds so stupid for two enemies to ever even pause to talk to each other.
  3. Yeah, will mention another problem is that Ambition was splintered somewhere outside the system, but that's more a problem for Kelsier to figure out than a writing one.
  4. No, he can't be both at the same time. He is currently Harmony, so he can't be Discord. I have also considered the multi-personality, but that doesn't work because he was discord, they would all be dead. And the red surround the planet is because of another shard, so there appears to be a another shard working against Sazed. Trell is not Discord, it doesn't work.
  5. Interesting theory. First off, one major error, Odium Splintered Dominium and Devotion before Ambition. "At some point after Ascending, Odium went after one of his fellow Shards, Ambition, as he felt most threatened by her intent. However, before he could find her, he located two other Shards, Devotion and Dominion, in the Selish system." So he would have known how to bring her shard into the cognitive. The rest of the theory seems solid. Kelsier seems like the person who would want to become a god, especially after getting a small taste.
  6. @Brgst13 That doesn't answer my question. It may not be permanent, but they don't appear to take vessels, so it doesn't seem they can be absorbed under their circumstances.
  7. A small thing, his spike appears to be either steel or iron, as he has steel sight in one eye, meaning the spike was from an allomancer, so he didn't get his feruchemy abilities from that. Just thought that was a useful observation for you all.
  8. Okay, when I read Mistborn: Secret History and that scene where Kelsier punches Ati in the face, my immediate reaction was, "That's a dick move. You don't know what he's like." It was made clear that Ati was corrupted by the Intent of the Shard of Ruin to make him do all those things when he was a Vessel. So when he dies, is he back to normal? Was he back to the nice guy he was before, and does he remember everything he did, why he did it, and what sort of mental trauma can that do to a person? Also, he was ascended, so he could have stayed yet went into the Beyond. Why? Why not say anything to the people you terrorized? There are so many questions that the scene gives me about Ati. And did something similar happen to other Shards, like Honor and Autonomy, or does splintering them do something different? Why don't Shards stay and try to come back to the physical realm more? Or just stay in the cognitive realm and give advice? I have so many questions!
  9. Well, it been a while since I have made another topic. Let's see how long I can keep this up as a weekly thing. So, during the week, I was on a thread talking about certain mechanics of Feruchemy regarding Tin (*Cough* @Koloss17 *Cough* Tin Theology *Cough Cough*) and it brought up how by storing most of your senses, you can make yourself numb to pain, and this got me thinking, what advantages come, rather from tapping your metalminds, from storing in them instead? there are the basic ones, of making yourself light so your faster and the numbing pain I mentioned, but I think there are other benefits we may be missing or haven't thought of, so I made this thread. What kinds of benefits can you think of?
  10. If by full born, you mean Mistborn or Feruchemist, then no, we're going individual abilities and at most, you can be a compounder of sorts and something else.
  11. Imagine hitting someone during a lashing when you way ten times your weight. That's why.
  12. ...You are not @Koloss17. That's surprising. Have you considered joining the Tin Theology (Name WIP)? It is a group bent on proving the superiority of Tin above all other metals. Koloss17 is the leader and I'm an advisor with interest in their preaching. So ultra-powerful Elantrian who can store their connection to use their powers anywhere? Sign me up. Who needs metals when you can make them out of thin air? And the illusions you can do while steel pushing away? This sounds like wonderful powers to give a very elusive villain. As for the Edgedancer Ferring... imagine shooting lift out of a cannon, have her increase her weight, and just watching the destruction. XD Here's a bunch of new ones to chew on. Bendalloy Elantrian Misting- Can make a time bubble to do all your sons and take your time. Zinc Elantrian Ferring- Can speed up your thought and make sure you never make a mistake in your Aon Copper Elantrian Ferring- Can store the memory of every Aon so you don't forget (Cuz I know I'll need that) Elantrain Willshaper- Can shape objects into Aons Windrunner and Iron ferring- Increase your weight during a lashing. Willshaper Duralumin Misting- Can transport between realms with ease and shape anything
  13. intriguing. I guess you could always just buy an unkeyed gold mind and then use a tin mind (Boy, I can't wait to see what he does with unkeyed metal minds, that's going to be tough and GLORIOUS!)
  14. I was referring to the blindness where all you see is black, not really blurry vision that makes it impossible to see.
  15. Again, no. Discord is Sazed, and Sazed is still Harmony. Sazed is currently resistin Trell, so Trell is not discord. Most like it is Autonomy's avatar, maybe one she made by accident. We know it's a Sard we know, and she is the most likely choice.
  16. Yeah, I didn't even consider the unmade. We know so little about them that I tend to ignore them at the moment when I make theories.
  17. Yes, predictions are nice, and I can definitely see it happening, but the fun part is determining how and why it will/can happen. What's the point of predicting something if not to see issues and then to answer them? Takes all the nuance and excitement away, the connecting of the dots, seeming like a crazy person to everyone but you and a few select others because your genius cannot be understood from the minds of petty men such as these.
  18. Yeah, but why would he? Syl seems pretty insignificant a target. Only way I'd see that happening is either it was unintentional and he just did something so powerful it killed her too, or Kaladin does something to disrupt his plans so much, he just says screw it and kills her. And that's without mention that it might be a stormfather situation where if he tries, Cultivation might attack him.
  19. I think so yes. Either they will go under sight and hearing or they will go in their own special category, and an unkeyed metal mind will be able to grant the power to someone else. What I am wondering now is what happens if a blind person stores sight? WIll they just store nothing? And what if they tap a metal mind with someone else sight stored? Will they be able to restore their sight for a while?
  20. Really? Glad I helped! Nice to know I had an impact.
  21. No, it would more likely be more like the Light eyes and Dark eyes, where one has more rights than the other and let them become corrupt. Vilglante justice would probably be stomped out quickly. Also, a bit unrelated, but that pool may still kill elantrians, so they may not be that hard to kill if captured.
  22. I'm aware. Keep posting the questions, their enjoyable, interesting, and will help me reach 2000 posts without losing my mind. And if you need help with naming the Tin gang, I am more than happy to help. Tin Theology, perhaps? Also, wait, the title is wrong, it F-Copper and F-Tin.
  23. Dude, go to the thread called Mistborn Era 2 disappointment. There are plenty of arguments for and against the series. (I am for the series. Read my posts. they'll tell you why it's great.)
  24. I would say no because you're seeing someone else's memory, which means you will see things with their kind of eye-sight. Remember, he saw things like Kelsier did, using steel sight in one eye and normal in the other. In this case, your senses don't matter, it's the one who made the memory whose senses matter. Also, hello again. I'm Made name yet in the past hour since we spoke to the Tin Gang?
  25. Thanks, dude. You will find I never do anything small. I plan on being one of those members you see and immediately are like, "oh, it's this guy", like @Frustration or @Honorless. I'm here to stay and cause everyone headaches and joy. Only have 1900 to go. Edit: Also, just like to mention I am often always at the top of the threads. When it shows most recent thread, my name is on three of the conversations! XD
