Azure's blade / "Compounding" Breath
Aspiring Writer replied to Benkinsky's topic in Cosmere Discussion
It could've been brought there from off-world by a world hopper like Hoid, though I admit that's very unlikely seeing as she noticed even Hoid and the amount of investiture needed to do this would probably be hard to bring to Nathline and very noticeable to Endowment.- 5 replies

Yes. All the way yes. It would be awesome, it would be epic, and would be a grand way to culminate the main story of the cosmere. Not sure that is going to happen, but I am all for it.

I've been rereading the first two SA books in preparation for RoW, and my thoughts have been very interested in Shardplate. In particular, why haven't they made better tactics to counter them? Everyone focuses on getting shards to break through the plate, but we don't see them focus on the one major weakness it has... the eyeslit. And normally, when there's a weakness, people make a million ways to use that weakness to maximum effect. And my first thoughts on this were throwing a type of powder/liquid/chemical at the shareholder and blind them. It wouldn't be that hard to design something to break on impact and blind the person, even with their technology, and once blinded, a soldier could move in and have a far better chance at killing him. The Shardholder could try to block it, but I don't think he could effect keep powder from spreading and blinding him, and if enough are thrown, he is bounded to get some in his eyes. This or something similar is not suggested anywhere from what I've seen, so what are your thoughts on this?

Casting the Stormlight Archive
Aspiring Writer replied to BreezeCauthon's topic in Stormlight Archive
u know way too many actors. -
Truth is what we think is an objective fact about an event, time, object, etc. The truth changes as society grows, as what we decide are objective facts can change over tie as our knowledge grows, but certain things will be true no matter, like your action of you typing on a keyboard, someone running for a few minutes, things that no matter how you look at them are true.

Vixen waited for the woman to follow her into the bar, but she never came. She finally stood up and glanced outside. The woman anywhere in sight. Vixen sighed, relieved to have escaped. She fingered her new knife. She'd lost her last one, she was grateful to have found another. She went back into the tavern to see if she could convince the barkeep to give her a free drink.
-
Vixen risked a glance behind her and cursed as she saw the woman was still chasing her. She dashed into a tavern and jumped behind the bar. The barkeep, who was used to this, rolled his eyes but said nothing.
-
Vixen narrowly dodges the woman's attempt to grab her knife back, cursing. Great. She had superspeed, too, she thought. She starts running away, not wanting to fight someone without having her speed as an edge.
-
Vixen starts to close the gap between her and the woman when she notices the knife at her belt and hesitates. She seemed to be focused on the two people talking in front of her. Vixen then starts burning her crystal and snatches the knife out of her sheath.
-
Vixen followed the three travelers from behind, keeping her distance. She was trying to get closer to the brown-haired girl, who seemed the most likely to be carrying something.

Red shook her head. "Need another drink," she said, looking at her empty cup. "Something less strong this time" she added to calm him down. -

"In a moment," she said sweetly. She pulled Bandar closer and whispered in his ear. "My name is not Marrisa. Use that name now. When we leave, whenever you refer to me, unless said otherwise, call me Redmark. I'll explain later. Got it?" -

The woman glanced around the room. "Name's Marrisa. Welcome aboard." she extended her hand out. -
