Okay, me was having a thinky think about heightening when it hit me... there must be sixteen heightenings. A lot of the magic systems either relate to the cosmere as a whole or with their shard. Endowment's shard number is supposedly 5, which might explain with immortality comes at the fifth heightening and why some of the really advanced powers come at the tenth heightening, which is a factor of five, but there are clearly more than five heightenings, so what's the max? My theory is that it's either 16 because of cosmere significance, or fifteen because of the five significance. What do you think? (Also, I have no idea if someone else made this theory, if they did, sorry.)

Well, remember, gem hearts make gemstones much cheaper and obtainable than what we have. STuff like emeralds might still be rare, but most fabrails use other more common gemstones. Remember, their currency is gemstones. Can you imagine us not using copper or gold despite them being amazing conductors? This is similar to that.

While true, I can write more than Riordan does. I have no idea how he contains his idea into such small packages. then again, he seems to be running out of ideas, so maybe not a surprise.

No, that's what I mean. His older work had found a good balance with what he was doing, and his newer work threw that out because he doesn't know how to keep it interesting. And, I just need to see if I'm the only one that noticed this, but he has a very recent trend with adding a character with either disabilities or LGBTQ into his newer books. Literally everyone, and he didn't have any in his old books. I was fine at first, I am down for those characters, but he has been having them in every book, and some of them fall very flat. It great to be inclusive, but forcing your representation can be jarring. Like, of his 8 newest books, 6 have new characters with the traits I mentioned above (And the other two I haven't read in a long time.), and again, his early work had none of it. There's a part of me that likes it because we now have more of those characters, but there's the other part that feels he has gone way off base in an attempt to include more and more. Also, I swear, I don't know how he writes books so small.

Like, in the beginning, it was pretty tame and funny with few extremes. Now everything has to be funny in some modern way, and it's really tiring, considering mythology main appeal it the unreal feeling of something in a forgotten and old world, and you are making it almost like a bad drama.

I would like killing everyone I pass by on Mondays, but I think i would be too sleepy.

I like Riordan, too, though I feel that his recent writing has been leaning more and more into strange territory.
