  1. Why are we all so focused on bricks? if they decide to use this tactic, they will just make something more aerodynamic to reduce drag and more likely to pierce armor/carapace. bricks would only be used if they didn't have the necessary resources.
  2. Oh god, flechettes. How long till they invent flechettes? Combined with a surge of gravitation to go down faster, that will be so goddamn deadly! The singers would just start being massacred. Hell, with gravitation, you can make the flechettes fall sideways and up, so this is useful even against the fused.
  3. Huh. Nice to know. Okay, though I will point out that the Kandra may not be completely knowledgeable about this subject. They only have a hint about how to make new kandra, and are not the most cosmere aware still.
  4. Copperclouds didn't protect others from emotional allomancy, just the user. And remember that while a coppercloud hid allomacers, it didn't prevent them from using their abilities. Coinshoits could still shoot coins at them, and seeing as we don't see Copper burners wearing metal armor, that includes inside the cloud.
  5. Ah, it's been a while since I've posted a topic. Hope you all didn't miss me. So, we know that Kandra spikes are unique to them and that they can't accept another Kandra's spikes. This is probably because of Identity, similar to how metalminds only work with their user. However, we see Bleeder use two new spikes that were not her original, made out of trellium, a god metal. So how is she able to do this, despite the problem with identity? I have two theories. 1. Trellium is an alloy of a Shard's god metal and whatever Paalms original spike was. This would explain why Paalm has two that she uses despite having access to more (Which she uses to create chimeras), and why they are still useable for her. (The metal most likely being copper, as Paalm was third generation, and from Tensoon, it appears the third generation was created with blessings of presence, which needed copper spikes (This is also based on my assumption that generations were made with one type of spike.)) OR 2. Trellium's special ability has to do with identity, allowing bleeder to use it despite not being keyed to her identity, like that of an unkeyed metalmind. Seeing as every godmetal seems to have one unique capability (lerasium creates mistborn, atium is the best metal for hemalurgy, acting as a wild card, tavatsium is incredibly hard and can cut your soul, etc.) this would not be hard to believe, and would also fit in with all the identity and connection shenanigans going on in Mistborn Era 2 magic system.
  6. You know those times where you are watching a show and you try and prepare for every episode for max enjoyment? Yeah, I'm doing that, and the site I'm watching it on storming broke and isn't letting me see anything. :(:(

  7. those were the people betrayed, of course they want justice, and they are revolutionaries among Alethi society. The other highprinces were not bothered nearly as much. Not really. they send children to be near the battlefield. This wouldn't be seen as anything different. He was just a messenger boy. I disagree. I think you are wanting something that isn't needed. He still holds a grudge against Roshane and thinks he's a terrible opinion. Following it up now of all times is impractical and useless, and Roshane has shown improvement, which even kaladin has to admit. And remember, Syl does get annoyed at kaladin for holding a grudge in RoW, giving him a sting. She's not going to stop him disliking him, but she is definitely going to be irritated for him for being petty.
  8. happy birthday!

      Mystic Syn

It's technically not my birthday for another six-ish hours for me, but thanks man.

  9. he hasn't broken a law. In case you forgot, Sadeas bascially committed treason and got away with it. Alethi culture is not the same as ours and it would be very difficult for Kadalin to try this when the world is ending. He is on a mission and needs to focus on that mission. It is petty to try this at such a sensitive time. And Kaladin is not likely the kind of person to think about the situation this way. He tried to duel Amaram, not bring him to court. Kaladin is not politically savvy and has a very direct way of thinking, that being, 'hurt the guy I hate'. This is not the Azish, this would not be in his nature. And in regards to the previous post, I was interested in kaladin's journey with depression. It is very relatable, and is also not the only thing going on with the character. I think this is a very you issue.
  10. You can, but you lose some of the attributes in the tranfer.
  11. I'm pretty sure Ruin removed anything that was obviously referring to him, like the line of don't trust anything not put in metal. We never did see them talk about that line.
  12. He's on a scouting mission for the largest threat the world has ever seen, he doesn't have the time to drag roshane for trial, and I would disagree that he should do so when removing Roshane would cause confusion. Someone needs to run the city, and kaladin doesn't have the time to just promote someone there, and he is currently running the place well. Also, Roshane hasn't technically broken a law in what he did to Tien, he used the law to his ends. Big difference with Amaram, who did break the law and tried to cover it up.
  13. This isn't exactly a time when Kaladin can go out to his way to remove Roshane, Roshane ends up being deposed by the Singers anyways, and Kaladin clearly still hates Roshane in RoW.
  14. Just because he wants to be his own person doesn't mean he won't end up following some of his father's expectations. That would follow the same mistaken logic that Adolin will just do the opposite of what his father wants rather than just doing what he wants.
  15. So, for some reason, when you type W and O in the search bar, there is something named the Wondersail which, if you click on it, sends you to the Wandersail. It's not technically a problem, as the Wandersail is also there, but I thought I should bring it up.
  16. happy birthday

  18. That avatar has been confirmed to be female, and I'm pretty sure avatars are at shardic levels of power. I'm pretty sure that's what everyone started calling TLR's atium bracers, which he then co-opted into his own myth.
  19. Ati might have just let himself go to the beyond. TLR could've stayed as long as he liked but decided, 'screw it, I'm gone.'
  20. I will take an army of Fused over the Blackthorn any day. Far more versatile.
  21. I had just assumed that he made the protag an A-Nicrosil is because there is a Mistborn, which can create an interesting dynamic because one, if she is trying to catch him, forcing a duralumin burst can be both useful and devastating to the Mistborn, like when vin burned duralumin and tin and basically created a flashbang effect. Meanwhile, if the Mistborn ends up joining her, there are interesting ways that dynamic can work, though the Mistborn would already have Duralumin to do that anyways.
  22. Remember, Dalinar can manipulate connection period. There doesn't seem to be a limit to what he can do. So all he would have to do is Connect you to Sel, which shouldn't be that hard considering the other connection tricks we have seen used by even non-bondsmiths. All he would have to do is touch a Selish person and take their connection and make it permanent. Would he still be bonded to the Stormfather once he loses? Becuase even when he wanted to turn Dalinar, I assumed the Stormfather would just break the connection or Odium would sever it himself, and in the contest, Dalinar would have to die before becoming a Fused, which would already break the connection, therotically. Thi is why I'm always confused on why Odium wants Dalinar that much, without the powers of the Bondsmith, he's just a guy.
  23. Those sources of investiture are different when it comes to connection, and so can travel outside their systems. The investiture on Roshar are heavily invested in that system, and so has troubles getting out of that system.
  24. ...And? i don't get your point here.
  25. Because they are invested on that world and don't want to leave it. For honor, he is splintered so he can't really move systems, and most of the Shards we see are focused on one planet. they can take their investiture back and move to another planet, but they don't really have much of a reason to. And what shards are invested in other places do you speak of, because investiture can travel between worlds, like Breath, which is the easiest investiture to take off world. they are not kept there against their will. (Except maybe harmony, which is currently fighting another avatar.)
