Thanks. Shame you got my quote before I fixed the emote though I might still reread tomorrow but probably will just submit an action, write some RP, and call it a Night :P.

I’m leaning Araris, but I worry I’m holding onto my v!Ash read too hard. I still need to reread though. @Fifth Scholar, kills still work tonight, correct? Because the player count is not “under six”. Work as in qualify for the 50% chance.

If that’s the case, I’ll let you know next turn. I can’t shake the feeling that xino and Steel are both village but that’s just pure paranoia and we should just continue with this course of action :P.

I’ll vote xino and scan Steel. Maybe it’s a mistake leaving Elan and Araris untested but idk. I was a lot busier today that I had anticipated and I might be able to squeeze in a reread before rollover but otherwise I’m going off of memory and gut.

Well this aged poorly xD Anyway, Elan, what do you think of my claim? Honestly, I wouldn’t put much stock into Stick’s vote since she likes to distance and for all you know she was storing a metal that negated her vote D1 (though the count had a vote on me). But at this point claiming Copper is basically the only village thing I’ve done :D. I think I’m agreeing with you about xino, but I still want to reread myself. You mentioning the JNV post made me think of another one where Steel comments on the difficulty he found reading JNV’s posts and I didn’t think that looked e/e either. I can do Steel for my scan if we go xino. Or, if people want, I can do Araris or Elan.

Oh yeah. That’s fine, we can still win D4 though if that happens

I’ll take Archer’s advice and hope for protection later, but honestly I’d be just an ordinary kill for the last elim since it’ll take me at least until D7 to charge back up and surely the game will be over before then :P. I’m an Archivist (surprise, I know xD) who started with two charges, single filled D1, and double filled D2. I am able to scan today (and will, one way or another) and am happy to scan Steel if we want to go for another option. If he comes back red, we can all submit kill actions N3 and hope to win the coin toss, but otherwise just win D4. If it’s green and we whiff today, I still think we’ll be set up pretty well. Who’d be everyone’s second choice? For me it’s xino, Araris, or Elan. I’d need to reread to determine which; all three have points for and against so it determines how strong I find each of those. But I’d like other opinions. An alternate option is to exe Steel and vote to decide who I scan, but that’s functionally the same thing and discussion for choosing a target is best done via exe, imo.

I guess it could, that just seems like… a lot of action potential. 5+5+2. But I could see the benefits of a distro where a final elim can’t be caught by everyone else submitting a general action, and I understand how Kas and Fifth could see the benefits too if that’s what they went with But really we aren’t going to get anywhere guessing at the distro

Mid-Range Game 58 - To Kill a Skyeel
Mat replied to The Unknown Medallion's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Yeah we didn’t play that well Gg lol -
He claimed the same thing as JNV was though. So unless you think the elims had two Sentries, he wasn’t telling the truth if he’s elim.

Anyone who failed a kill can confirm that theirs did not make it to the 50/50 if they wish to. My single one was the one that did, which like, typical me luck to win the 1/6 or whatever and then lose the 1/2

And here I thought that Archer’s last post + the long rollover meant that he was elim and the game was over I tried to kill Steel last night. Got confirmation that my failure was due to the 50% chance from the low player count and not someone else getting the kill, which matches what Steel said. Tempted to just vote Steel right now but Sentry is such an… odd thing to claim right here for e!Steel, especially with action results like that. The chance of him not getting the kill while submitting that many is low enough that idk why he’d claim it. Unless he just went with a teammate’s role to add credibility. Not going to end on Ash, see my post from the Night turn. Probably will vote Steel later but I don’t want to snap vote

I mean, if the Synod kills Archer then you’re not responsible, Illwei, even if you did make a case they had to agree with it I also lean v Archer but I wonder how much discussion it’ll suck up if he survives. That alone isn’t a good reason to kill him though.

Ash had some pretty villagery points D1– things like being among the first to mention hiding the Copper, and other posts I can’t remember off the top of my head but aren’t really things that an elim would want to mention. I could go find more of those I guess. Ash also was basically ignored by both Stick and JNV, and looking back you can see that Stick and JNV distanced pretty well; it’d be weird to me if they did that but then never mentioned their third teammate. (And again, with there being 13 players and Stick being a FF, I don’t think there’s any chance of four elims). Steel fits that slot nicely, and if I get past my village tone read of Steel he makes a lot of sense as the third. And like Illwei mentioned, we agreed that the elims likely weren’t in real danger D1 and Ash was a train. A late train, but still one that existed. So yeah there’s my v!Ash case I guess

There’s one post from Steel where he complains about JNV’s style of writing from last turn that doesn’t read e/e to me. But since my elim reads have been slightly off the entire game maybe he is just elim :D. I want to check how JNV treats Steel, I noticed earlier how JNV lightly defended Stick D1 so maybe there’s something like that we can find. I would say Ash for voting Elan but he was the first vote of the turn so idk. Maybe I’m just easily swayed but Archer still just seems villagery to me, despite his voting. Edit: After rereading I think I agree with the e!Steel read. Distancing fits cleanly there, and makes sense.

Can we agree that there's only 1 Spiked left? [Edit: Ninja'd by Steel] 3/13 is 23% and 4/13 is 30%, and with Stick being a Full Feruchemist I feel like the former is much more likely. I also think the last one could be a Synod member, since we haven't had an elim one of those yet, but I don't think all the Synod should claim for the sake of maybe shrinking the PoE and I could definitely see Fifth and Kas leaving the Synod doc pure. It might be worth them using their Synod kill tonight, if they can come to a decent conclusion, but that's up to them to decide. Off the top of my head Illwei and Elan have both risen in my reads considerably, but I'll need to do some reading to come up with more than that. Illwei's point on Archer is proving to be viable, though.

Yeah I played that wrong but yeah Especially since JNV’s last post made my null read turn to a village lean @GMs can we get a VC? Assuming you didn’t edit it in, I mean. In the meantime I’ll reread again

Well that’s why I said nothing about my post meant e!Illwei. I’m not reading you based on that, village or elim. To answer your point, though, yes I think you’re a competent elim. Take the compliment But that doesn’t make me elim read you more in this game or any other, and you rightly point out that it shouldn’t. It was never meant to be an argument against you, just illustrate why pointing out your own villageness isn’t always effective. I mostly try to read you by votes, and I don’t have a lot of that D2. I can’t remember what pinged me in Ash’s LG, but maybe I should go check that. Eh. Illwei. The other thing I’ve thought of that points to v!Illwei keeps coming to mind, and the frustration here feels genuine. Frustration isn’t village exclusive but it feels more like that here to me. Elan

I’ve already explained my vote, I feel like there’s enough potential for you to be e/e with Stick but honestly at this point it’s more that yes, your progression is there but none of the conclusions I find all that compelling if you know what I mean. Like I can get behind all of them but if you hadn’t mentioned them I wouldn’t have gone there. (I did know that Stick had zero votes at that point, but imo that doesn’t really change my point. If anything it strengthens it, you could have voted Stick when she was a train but chose not to mention it until after she wasn’t. But I dunno if timestamps work with that) I don’t think narrowing a PoE to only four people on D2 is necessarily a village move either, seems a bit small to me. I recognize that you probably know when to reconsider but off the top of my head I’d have as my PoE [you, Elan, xino, JNV, Araris(?)] and probably someone else I’m forgetting. It’s also kinda hard for me to accept an argument of ‘I’ve been obviously village because of x’ when something we all agree on is that competent elims tend to be able to act villagery, especially early game. So yes, progression is good, but certainly not unfakeable. No one is forcing you to make those village reads but if someone doesn’t have village reads at all, that draws attention. There’s one thing that makes me pause though. That alone makes me reconsider. I am intentionally not saying what it is :P. Idk, nothing I’ve said in this post is meant to reflect e!Illwei, just refute the points for v!Illwei. Decent chance I end on Elan though. Maybe not decent actually. Slight chance I guess.
