  1. This is where I would say "I told you so" but I completely forgot about it as well so if I say that I have to say it to myself as well xD Mmm I forgot about that. I can almost understand that, because for me being read village as a villager is of near-equal importance (if not entirely equal) to being read village as an elim. I'm not sure if Wit would have that deep of an understanding of the game yet, though. With Archer, I don't think he'd fall to three-hour-early elim hypersensitivity. He's too headstrong for that. e!Archer claiming here would have to be a piece of some other plan (like the bulldozing you mentioned) but I don't remember if the chronology works in favor of him thinking that far in advance. With my light v!read of him, though, it's not something I'm considering right now. Bro half the time I forget what game we're currently playing, there isn't a chance in the world I pull that out of a hat :|. I can look later if you really want but the situation basically was as I described; xino was suspicious so I voted him, suddenly everyone and their dog voted him, I panicked and pulled off, he flipped elim :P. Quoting this because I think it illustrates a point-- no one had any real idea of what the VC was at any point during the last half hour or so. Sure, people were posting them, but they were either straight-up wrong or rendered out of date within seconds. So I sort of question the value of EoD VC analysis. At least, the analysis that gets in the details. Broad stroke analysis obviously shouldn't be ignored, but I don't think you can rely on assuming that little shifting moves were strategically intentional. I'll help JNV I mean, sure, but any team with both of them on it I think the third elim decides the kill every time. At least on C1 for sure. This would not surprise me fwiw Fair It was the kind of investment where I didn't know which way I was invested. Forgot to mention this, I did notice it, yeah. There are two more posts to reveal but I'm posting now as this is already probably terrible on the eyes Edit: @Aeoryi no need to ask questions to stoke discussion if discussion is happening
  2. Okay that’s fair. For all my comments about the chaos of EoD and how my own brain short circuited I forgot that it was chaotic and made it hard to think :P. (And thanks for explaining the Wit thing. Languages are cool.) Relevant in a general sense more than anything else. I think that claiming a decently powerful role (as a Skybreaker is) at EoD is usually a good idea, as it causes players to think about what they’re doing a bit more. It’s one thing to kill PHer Aman, and another to kill Skybreaker Aman. At least to me. I’m pretty sure if he had claimed that I would have believed him, as it’s a believable claim, so the paranoiding wouldn’t be an issue there. A Skybreaker is worth a lot and an e!Skybreaker that’s outed isn’t terrible as accountability becomes an issue for the elims. I dunno what I would have done with the information but EoD me would have liked it. But that’s just my opinion.
  3. I don’t actually mind Wit getting the ideal. But I do want to know why he’s listed the way he is :P. In retrospect v!Aman should have been more obvious due to the lack of self pres and the thread-wide consensus regarding his slot but panic does wild things. Probably most looking sideways at Kas, interestingly, as it sounds like you knew he was a Skybreaker and didn’t say anything? I get distroguessing = bad but if you knew his role and what he planned to do with it that seems like… relevant information. I missed that Raven voted Aman. That’s… weird.
  4. Stahhhp ;-; This nearly makes me want to vote Wit lol
  5. Wait are we giving Aman the ideal right now I’m not comfy with that
  6. Chill factor isn’t the issue, my read is the issue But I do read Wit more village than you and I don’t want to die so —That was where I was going to vote you but now I don’t know what is happening Uh I want the vote bonus JNV as a placeholder cause idek lol
  7. I wouldn’t mind it I suppose. I’d prefer getting Archer up (or me :P) but amidst all this EoD madness I’m starting to understand why people weren’t too keen on the idea of planning for this >>
  8. I mean, I would consider a multi-pointed Archer case with a redundant second vote and extra colored orange text "coming in hot" Though your later points about your hedgy statements are fair contradictions of this. No Disagree This is where I get in the state I was last game where I feel like you have to be village for engagement reasons but also you keep doing things I do not understand :|. This is objectively true. But he was so pure early on I'm hesitant. Your train feels wrong though, it picked up too fast. But every time I think that I remember the time I panic-unvoted e!xino for the same reason. Circles within circles. Kas, some day you will remember that no one wants to do this :P. We'll vote you if we think you're evil and not a second before. I want a VC before unvoting Aman lol
  9. Kinda sorta. For me that first point is more the opposite, but it still works. I do think Aman’s votes have been weird but doesn’t he always switch all over the place? I guess it’s less about the votes and more the magnitude of his you case and the lack of push that was actually behind it. Ah what the heck. I don’t even remember who I’m currently voting which is probably a bad sign xD Aman
  10. Case That implies something other than gut :P. Edit: Araris’ vote is the only one I like actually lol
  11. If anyone wants to tell me what I’m supposed to do, that’d be nice. Because it once again seems I’m the subject of a mid-cycle wagon based on gut, and no matter how I respond someone will find a ‘tell’ that supports their vote. So I don’t think I’ll bother responding to anything, as most of it isn’t anything real. Beyond that, I’ve just played how I always do, making reads, random pop ins, all that? I agree with Archer that Aman’s turnaround is weird. He writes a mega Archer case, and votes me for ??? I really don’t want to vote on Archer for self pres. That’d just be stupid. I just wish I’d stop getting put in this position when as far as I know it’s never been a reliable way to solve me. Maybe I’m wrong there, but at least can someone tell me that? /shrug Like if this is a me reaction test or something I deserve to know because it’s annoying to get wagoned D1 every single game :P.
  12. Fair enough I guess. I read that as new player hesitance (something you never had ) and while I didn't like how their first response was constructed, I thought their response to me about it and their subsequent posts were consistent enough that I accepted their explanation. In my experience, elim teammates generally don't ghost write new player's posts enough for it to be a tell, so while I could see it either way I definitely lean village. Was going to ask this, thanks You picked two out of three players I've already given reads of xD For Raven, see above, for Archer, as I alluded to in a previous post, a light village, but sort of in protest of JNV's vote. I like his most recent post but can't decide if his routine solving of me is an elim checking the box or a villager falling into the same pattern. I think I lean village on Araris for the same reason (I liked his analysis post) but that's totally an effort read that is probably unwarranted and I should really go read his post again. Plus I kind of just trust Kas :P. Pshhhhhh definitely code for "I want to be in the elim doc first" /jk
  13. How did you feel about their responses to you? I found them to be more put-together than I’d have expected from a new player elim under interrogation, but that isn’t going to be true for every new player.
  14. I mean, yes, but as nothing has happened since we last were talking about that I don't feel like it counts. Rereading I haven't loved JNV's votes (more on that below) and I kind of feel bad reading Stink as evil for posting more game related thoughts than he did all last game but that's where my brain is going. Mostly I'm doing the thing where I'm deciding who I read village and am left with a PoE of null type people. So far the former list is something like Aeoryi/you/Ravenclaw/Wit with a potential Archer. I don't like this vote, really, because it's unfairly considering how playstyles work. This is actually something I frequently run into with Archer, ironically enough, because he loves to assume I play by my own meta textbook and am incapable of changing playstyles (see: his post right above this one) and even when he comes to the conclusion that I'm village it's a tad annoying But I don't think it's fair to assume that v!Archer will post a crazy thing or whatever. Kas touched on this too and I just think it's wrong /shrug I've been null on Archer so far but I do like his recent post, his incorrectly formulaic solving of me aside :P. JNV Aman! Welcome! Hopefully you clear up Exp's slot for us all :D. :D. :D.
  15. Village points = reason to light village read (aka I think you lean village atm) Vote manip = Some roles can manipulate the votes to be different from how they were intended to be cast
  16. Sometimes I’m not in a position to write up a post but I have a minute to scroll through the thread, so if you saw my name at the bottom and I didn’t say anything that’s probably why. NAI = Non Alignment Indicative (meaning “this doesn’t mean anything eother I think I broke the quote but am not sure lololol To be clear, I’m not saying we should hyper coordinate the exe or overfocus on who’s in second, but I also don’t want to act like it’s not a factor. I think the mechanic deserves some discussion, and that we should find the middle ground. Meant to quote Kas but I didn’t grab it and now I forgot what it was. I think just saying “fair enough” to his reply of me? I’ll check later EDIT: It was that, plus saying that I’m pretty sure I consistently ignore early votes on me regardless of alignment. But you have a better memory than me when it comes to these things so I may be wrong. Village points to both Raven and Wit for openness and honesty respectively
  17. That… really wasn’t my point but okay I wasn’t even going to give you that it was a good place to start, but the following two paragraphs (and the rest I deleted) actually made me change my mind. At the very least I understand your POV on this even if we’re using slightly different definitions. On the bolder section: two schools of thought here. First, I’m sad you think I’d ever deliberately disengage Though I know that’s not exactly what you meant. But second: I didn’t exactly hold any criticism of Aeoryi’s posts back :P. If I were worried about that, I doubt I’d have been as blunt about it. And again, I’d love to hear a better explanation of why letting the second vote lie is the better option— the way I see it, it won’t ever be a good indicator of things because we all know what the second place does anyway. Votes will be motivated by it whether we talk about it or not. Might as well be on the same page about it. Expecting activity is like the baseline and minimum expectation imo
  18. Not that much effort :P. But yeah, I know, I didn't take it that way-- my bad for not making that clear. I don't really think any read is unnecessary, especially on C1, if I have a thought, there's no reason not to post it /shrug RP does make it hard to convey stuff so I understand You say "Yeah" and then leave your vote on me ._. No one has major suspicions, but you don't typically vote on other people's suspicions. You vote on your own. Those might be the same thing, but they aren't necessarily. They should post more :p. Ravenclaw's most recent post seems overly dictionary, if you know what I mean. You know my opinion on Exp. My opinion is essentially the same as the LG. This activity level at this stage is typical for Araris/JNV/Ash. @Fifth Scholar what's going on with player number 12? Is that supposed to be Wit? xD Ravenclaw
  19. —I don’t think it’s overanalyzing to say that I have a gut read —Certainly you can’t honestly call this a tunnel, the only reason I keep bringing it up is because other people do —Calling it a stupid read feels like you know Exp is village and are preflipping him, though “stupid” is probably just a synonym for “something I disagree with” —I’m not pushing to kill inactives. Why did you say I am? Why are you implying I’m pushing JNV and Archer when I’m not? I get 200 words is hard but cmon :P. It’s one thing to exaggerate and another to make stuff up
  20. It wasn't about the SU, and I don't know where you think I said I doubted them :P. I made that read long before reading the SU. Oh yeah, forgot about that. 90% sure his vote on me was a joke but I could be wrong.
  21. Fair enough. We could call that out, and I'm imagining it to be a bit more formal, but mostly what I'm trying to avoid is the number two suspect getting an Ideal. Maybe I care more about this having just come off games where I primarily voted people not on the leading train. That's assuming there are elims in the tie at all, which isn't a guarantee. Though I do agree that ties aren't as bad as Aeoryi presented because I'd rather have villagers live roleless than die, so a v/v tie world is improved from normal here. Legitimately don't know what you're getting at here. Maybe I haven't read things close enough. Is there a reason you're against formally using the second vote? I think certainty is always better, for both alignments yes, but elims start with more of it and I'd like to even it out in any way I can. (To be clear, I'm not advocating for a hyper-focused effort, I'd just prefer more than no thought go into who falls second. I don't think letting the trains fall naturally will work super well because everyone knows what the second place vote does and that will affect things whether we talk about it or not). Not anything that specific, it just feels elimmy. Like he had nothing to say but wanted to post because he felt obligated to post. It didn't feel natural to me. The SU is regrettable but I don't exactly want to ignore him the entire game . I wish he'd just not signed up but what's done is done Can't decide if I like JNV's vote or not because half of my brain is saying JNV is jumping on something too easy >> This makes no sense because you're not consolidating by voting on someone with zero votes :P. ________________________________________________ Her My fault for not clarifying. She's a version of my character from something else. “We will uphold our Oaths. We will perform as the Blackthorn expects of us. Or we will die in our attempt.” Callar's words still echoed in Shay's mind. Were there... those who wouldn't? I mean, that's what she had heard. That's what people whispered, as if speaking it full-voiced would make it more true. She glanced over at the vague direction of Phil Swift. Storming man, she thought on impulse. It had been an accident-- allegedly-- but it still made her want to fight something. To lash out. Being a Knight meant that she suppressed that urge, at least now that the moment had passed. She didn't know whether the blow was an attempt at her life or a clumsy mistake. But either way, it wasn't her fault. Shay flexed her arm, which still throbbed. But only when she thought about it. Stormlight was useful stuff, and any real pain was now a memory. A recent memory, yes, but still just a memory. She intentionally conjured it, and directed the pain at a rock, which she sent skidding along the ground with a kick. "Shay, dear, you are simply too quick to anger," her spren said in her mind. She grit her teeth. It was true, but something about this situation put her on edge.
  22. Kas, I know they’re your bros, but you can’t v read someone who hasn’t posted
  23. — My first instinct is to use the second place vote intentionally to promote people we trust, rather than let it play out normally. It’s a tool we’ve been given, and I’d prefer publicly taking advantage of it so that the elims can’t. — I think Exp’s post is elimmy but I’m not qualified to read him correctly so, opinions? Will be back with RP in a few hours
