It's come to my attention (thanks Archer) that Ookla Season starts pretty soon, I think in two days. I GMd last year during Ookla Season, so it shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure when voting/unvoting etc to use the original name of the person you're referencing, and maybe if you do change your name go ahead and say in-thread. Makes life easier for me. Thanks! More the merrier! SE I think generally is less intense than other sites, with the games being a bit less rapid-fire, so I don't think you'll have to multi-tab (though that also is a playstyle thing). I'm biased, since I'd like as many players as possible, but I agree that I wouldn't be super concerned about this.

The Allomancer walked down the streets of Luthadel, doing nothing in particular. It was a nice evening, despite the ongoing ashfall, and he thought he could do with a bite to eat. He pushed through the flood of people- why did it always seem like he walked against the flow?- with a bit of haste in his steps. He rounded a corner speedily, and was forced to stop abruptly when he realized that there was another man in the way. "I apologize." he said politely, and was about to continue on his way when he noticed the man's peculiar metal arm bands. The Allomancer took an interest in all things metal, for obvious reasons. The Allomancer pointed at them. "May I ask what your bands are?" The other man looked away. "No." The Allomancer frowned. He wasn't used to reactions like that. He grabbed the stranger's arm in what he hoped was a comforting way. "Let me buy you dinner, friend." he said. No one could resist an offer like that. Soon, after the two men became acquainted, the man explained that he was a Feruchemist and the Allomancer returned the favor of honesty by explaining his own Metallic Art. The men quickly became engrossed in a discussion over which ability was more useful, more extravagant, or more of anything else. The discussion turned into an argument. And the argument only increased in ferocity, fueled by the tempers of the two men. They each went their separate ways after that night, but not after taking a vow. A vow to not rest until the superior Metallic Art was discovered. Welcome to Long Game 82: Secrets Written in Metal! This is a game with a bit of a silly premise, but really I just want to have fun with the writeups I'll be the GM, and @Elandera will be the IM. Signups are now open, and will run for just over a week, until Wednesday, December 1st, at 10am PST. The game will start just afterwards, and that will be the rollover time for the duration of the game (until my schedule inevitably changes). This is a mostly blackout game. Play at your own risk, there are secrets Here are the known rules: Player List: Spectators: Quicklinks:

I can do the LG, then. You want to do signups first?
-
It’ll be tomorrow, maybe Monday, but alright. I’ll do that.

I can put up a simple game for the people who would play it if that would be good :P.

Another No Way Home Trailer!!

Considering games have had about 12 players lately, I don’t think 40+ roles are necessary

It’s raining incredibly hard and has been for multiple days. The river is overflowing, roads are closed, school was cancelled, neighborhoods are flooding- my friend was evacuated from his house on a boat- and the church building is flooding. I tried to get there to help the people who could get there in sandbagging/doing other things to help, but couldn’t make it and turned around.
I’m glad I live on a hill :P. Forecasts show rain for the next 24 hours, followed by a day of clouds and more rain.

Alright! Post-game GM thoughts time. First, while I didn't the activity was terrible, it wasn't as good as it could have been. Vote participation did get better as the game went on but in some cases it was the only post the voter made. I kinda want to make a general wake-up call for the entire subforum as far as activity goes (maybe this doesn't need to be said, idk) but games in general are more fun and go better if everyone engages in it. There was one cycle where 2/3 of the elim team received inactivity warnings, and I think that this helped the elims just sort of slide under the radar for the most part. The solution for this is simply to just sign up for games only if you know you can participate. I don't want to bash on anyone, and I hope this isn't taken that way. Especially now, when player counts are pretty low, every player is appreciated. I'm glad the Soul Forger was included, that was what made me want to rerun this ruleset to begin with. But the Soul Forger went inactive D2. (And I mean, they were NK'd, but because of the low-info prospect). With that out of the way, I do want to sincerely thank everyone for playing. I like GMing a lot, and this game was no exception. The elims got lucky with their kills, and I'm pretty disappointed that Ash was killed so early (especially since it appeared that he would make scepters at any given opportunity.) Funny moments during the game boil down to action interactions. Devo was redirected and RBd consecutively, including the cycle TUO was exed. His final action was to block Devo's action, which would have saved his life and killed Steel instead. That might have resulted in a different game And then of course the final cycle where Tani killed her arbiter alongside the elims. There's probably something else I'm forgetting, but those are the main things. Thanks to Elan again for the ruleset, and for IMing!

My MR ended yesterday; here's the QF list: @Fifth Scholar @Young Bard (anonymous) @Straw Bard again @|TJ| Sart is on the sheet as #3 but I'm pretty sure that's the game he just ran. After TJ is Quinn (inactive+no pass), Illwei, Tani, Fifth again, and TUO (Maybe should be TUA now ) And @Ashbringer, if you're doing the LG that should probably go up sooner rather than later I'll take a QF slot.

MR54: Aftermath: Changing the Vision When the Emperor called for an emergency meeting, everyone knew it was serious. Everyone really already knew it was serious, but before the call they had been able to pretend that it wasn't, like turning a blind eye to a tragedy. But when the remaining arbiters and councilmen were staring at each other from across the room, knowing they were almost outnumbered, there was no more pretending. Two arbiters were mainly under question- an older folk, Araolis, and Gaivan, one of the newer recruits. It was an interesting pair of candidates to have; one of the most experienced and one of the least. The Emperor sat in his chair, scepter in hand, and listened. Neither argument seemed to suffice. Were there even Heritage Faction members among them? Or were they simply being destroyed by their own paranoia? Finally, he couldn't take it anymore. "Zama?" he whispered, turning to his Head Arbiter, his longest friend. "What do you think?" Zama said nothing, and only stood and approached the two under question. Gaivan and Araolis stared at them, neither flinching. In a single motion, Zama pointed at Araolis, making the decision for the entire council. * * * The execution took place later that day. The Emperor hated the publicity it drew, but he suffered it with the hopes it would be the beginning of the end of this cursed revolution. Araolis spoke his final words: "Long live Glory." And the Emperor realized his mistake. Furious, he rose and strode to Zama. "Do you realize what was just done? Do you know what this means? I can't believe-" He stopped, growing silent. The others said not a word, but one- Theo- quietly rose. Zama spoke. "Wei, please, we can talk about this." The Emperor actually growled, a low sound from within his chest. "No. I'm done listening to you. I don't know how they turned you, but I'm done listening." "My Emperor, I agree." came Theo's voice. "Let's finish this." The Emperor hefted his scepter, and cutting off all emotions, swung. Theo immediately stepped towards the Emperor, waiting till it was done before grabbing his arms. "Alright, Wei, it's time for your rule to end." The Emperor spun out of Theo's grip, aghast. "What?" Two more from the small audience rose. Lai, and the Bloodsealer who called himself Steel. Lai spoke. "In the name of the Heritage Faction, I pronounce your rule unfit for the Rose Empire. It's time for a change." The Emperor only could stare back at Gaivan and Zama. "I'm sorry." The three of them led him away. Araris Valerian has been excecuted! He was a member of the Glory Faction! Devotary of Spontaneity has been killed! (Twice!) She was the Head Arbiter of the Glory Faction! Vote Count: Araris Valerian (4): Mage, Devotary of Spontaneity, SeaDragonet Mage (3): |TJ|, Araris Valerian, Tani, Steeldancer The Heritage Faction has won! Congratulations to @|TJ|, @SeaDragonet, and @Steeldancer for their victory and for reclaiming the Rose Empire. Post-game thoughts to come from me later. Thanks to everyone who played, voted, was active, and generally made the game work! There were lots of close moments and the game could have gone very differently- I don't think the elims know how close it really was Doc links: Master Spreadsheet Dead/Spec Doc Elim Doc Forger Doc Player List:

MR54: Cycle Four: Hearing the Echo Shoi knew that his people were disliked. Bloodsealing wasn't a popular hobby, and he understood that, but he also knew that everyone else didn't understand. What was haunting and disturbing to them was beautiful and fulfilling to him. His pets were everything. He tried to explain, but they wouldn't listen. Shoi had figured it was only a matter of time before the arbiters threw out the Bloodsealer, but he had hoped he would last a little longer. * * * In the dead of night, a figure crept through the palace. The Glory Faction was crumbling, and they were behind it! What a thrill it was. Heritage was a much more important value, and soon the Rose Empire would know it once more. A few things had to be done first, though. The figure pushed open a door with careful precision, making sure the motion was silent. Their steps echoed through the chamber as they clicked on the tile floor. Soon after they exited in the same manner, leaving behind the limp body of Locke Tekiel. The Unknown Order has been executed! They were a Bloodsealer for the Glory Faction! Orlok Tsubodai has been killed! He was a member of the Glory Faction! Vote Count: Devotary of Spontaneity (1): Tani Steeldancer (2): Mage, Devotary of Spontaneity The Unknown Order (3): Araris Valerian, |TJ|, Orlok Tsubodai Cycle Four has begun! It will end in about 48 hours, on Friday, November 12th, at 1pm PST. There will be an execution today, with no vote minimum. Tied votes will result in a decision by RNG. PMs are open, 1-on-1 only. Please include myself and Elandera in any PMs you create. Each player is allotted a single action per cycle. Don’t forget to use it! There is an inactivity filter of two cycles. Failure to post in this time frame will result in removal or replacement. @Steeldancer and @SeaDragonet are being warned for inactivity. Player List:

MR54: Cycle Three: Man On a Mission Sha Lou sighed, hurrying out the door. She hadn’t even gotten her steamed duck, but with the way the conversation had been headed she figured it was best to slip out. She had no intention of dying tonight, not when the Heritage Faction was so close to usurping her Emperor. Since she had figured she wouldn’t be back in her office tonight, Sha Lou had put away the day’s work. But with her early departure leaving important daylight hours open, she thought it best to continue doing her part. The work wouldn’t do itself, after all. Sha Lou worked for another half hour before finally calling it a day. In normal circumstances, she likely would have kept going, but she was distracted by the talk she had heard in the dining room, accusing her of working for the Heritage Faction! She was aghast at the mere thought of it. Sha Lou had hoped that the routine of work would help distract her, but it had instead done the opposite. Perhaps sleep was really what she needed. Sha Lou tiptoed out of her office and began the walk to her quarters. The hallways seemed so dark once the sun dipped lower than the windows. Outside, it would still be light enough to see clearly, but not here. She should have taken her candle. As she approached her room, she noticed the door was cracked open. Odd. She always was sure to close and lock it in the morning. Foolishly, she entered. * * * The Soul Forger had to actively restrain themselves from laughing out loud every second they remained undetected. The ancestors would be proud. Among the arbiters, imitating them while wearing the stamp of something else! The Soul Forger shifted, feeling the stamp settle in. It wasn’t quite ready, but it was close. Soon, their mission would begin. For now, they were Ill. Though, in consideration, it might be better to be elsewhere when the stamp took. It had… visible effects. They didn’t think it was terribly odd to leave suddenly, that girl had done so earlier, as well as whoever had followed her. So, focusing on their next move, the Forger ducked out into the hallway. Luckily, it was empty. Their escape had been just in time- the Soul Forger’s eyes widened as their arm burned with where they had applied the stamp earlier. Their muscles became much more defined, reaction time quickening with the reflexes of a warrior. Those reflexes were swiftly tested as a knife hurtled at them to the right. The Soul Forger’s arm shot up and caught it, without thinking. Their breath caught. The Heritage Faction. The Forger flung the knife back in the direction it had come and followed it with a lunging kick, one not meant to hit a target as much as it was meant to look like it was. To their surprise, the Forger felt a strong hand grasp their outstretched leg and felt a knife- likely the same one that they had thrown- being plunged into their leg. They screamed in shock and pain. They had been too hasty. They should have kept the knife, using it against their attacker deliberately. Instead, they had given their own demise right back. The Soul Forger’s mission had failed. Ed Venture has been executed! They were a member of the Glory Faction! ashwastaken has been killed! They were the Soul Forger! They were stamped with the Warrior Mark. Vote Count: Ed Venture (6): Araris Valerian, Mage, Devotary of Spontaneity, |TJ|, SeaDragonet |TJ| (1): Steeldancer The Unknown Order (0): Ed Venture Devotary of Spontaneity (2): Tani, TUO Cycle Three has begun!
