  1. Am I pulp? Pulp is Shapless. Stick is not. I may be kindling.
  2. But why not fire?
  3. The shin originally invaded roshar right? So, maybe the more power hungry people went as far as they could (Alethi and all them) while the less power hungry were content with the nations closer to shin (Reshi and Azir). So the more aggressive naturally went east, because of greed. And that war spirit was then ingrained into their society. It then makes sense why the purelakers would be so timid, because the purelake would most likely be the "Dregs" of Roshar, so it would fall to those least willing to fight.
  4. If we are arguing solely on the strength of surges, then you're right, it doesn't matter much. But Orders are made of a lot more then just surges. Oaths, Spren, Relationships of Radiants within the order, how the world precipices them, etc. These things matter too.
  5. Okay okay, to be clear i'm not saying that the surges are different from order to order. Im saying that the unique combination of surges that an order has lets them do things that the other two orders with their surges cant. Its called Resonance, and it happens to anyone that has access to two surges (We also see it in Twinborn). To quote the coppermind: The coppermind only has these two orders, but thats because we just havent seen it happen much with other orders. This is probably why Jasnah was able to soulcast so effectively In the Battle of Thaylen City, because she was in the cognitive realm and the spiritual realm at the same time (Probably). Im just saying, without knowing the Resonance of the other orders, im not sure we can really judge them.
  6. One thing to consider is each order has a special way their surges work together (An example being lightweavers can give weight to their illusions) and we havent seen what that is for most of the orders, so it might be hard to know exactly who is the most useful.
  7. Siri 100% Will Smith
  8. Everyone, I'm pretty sure Susebron is the Earth King??? *Ahem* They are both rulers of arguably the most important nation of their world. They both trusted the people closest to them but turns out they were lied to and sheltered their whole lives. They both had someone trying to talk to them for half a book, and last but not least they both have a pretty cool but underestimated sidekick.
  9. Welcome! I like the Idea of Nighsmiths healing the souls of living things. Things like Shardblade injuries. Although it might not stop there. With that power, they could heal the heart (Something that the Radiants desperately need) A Nightsmith could help open Kaladins eyes to the fact that he's not alone, and that its okay to not save everyone. Or they could help Shallan accept her past and work toward the future. Maybe even heal Taln and the other Heralds who aren't completely sane. Like a therapist that reaches farther then words, but to the soul itself.
  10. Hard to be important but not a Radiant? Yes, but not impossible. I find it unlikely Sanderson will have all of the main characters be Radiants. He'll find a way i'm sure. Personally I hope Navani fills that role, though im not sure she will.
  11. Thats okay, its kinda a joke with my brothers. Its from Harry potter and the sorcerers stone when Ron says "Not me, not Hermione, you Harry, you must go on" that we twisted for Kal.
  12. Willshaper Its suprizing how much of the shard got Willshapers and Elsecallers
  13. I think Adolin will “revive” Maya, but won’t develop full powers? Like a half radiant. But his status as an Edgedancers would be perfect. He could either vow to remember those that aren’t Radiants (a role that he may end up filling himself) OR he could vow to remember the other dead eyes like Maya.
  14. Actually, @Tal made a quiz a while back that had your Meyers Briggs personality type as one of the questions.
  15. Ooo okay, I think you’re right. Although would he have to leave vorinism to be a squire? Considering who the Stormfather is and the information he’d then know, I don’t see how he could stay. Also seeing that ardent (Kadash??) come back to be with Dalinar again, but by choice instead of being forced into the Elites would be very powerful.
  16. Personally I think Bondsmiths under the same Godspren would have the same powers, but they might find different ways to use them? Ive always assumed that Dalinar was special because Honor had splintered, so he was able to do things other Stormsmiths hadn't.
  17. Oh I see what you're saying. I thought you meant two Stormfathers Bondsmiths at the same time. Sorry!
  18. Well there cant necessarily be two Stormfather Bondsmiths, so each of the 3 Godspren would give somewhat different powers.
  19. Totally not a Willshaper in disguise. I will... Uhh... remember *squints at smudged writing on hand* the forgotten.
  20. I think the part of some people swear oaths even though they know they wont get spren is amazing. Shows that Radiants (At least not all of them) weren't power hungry. I wonder If the God spren would informally hold them to the oaths even without powers or if its simply a test of integrity. Id also Like to see a squire, though im not sure who would be Dalinars. Maybe Navani?
  21. I call Willweaver! though the name Willshaper is kinda directly opposite to what they believe in? Gotta love Misnomers.
  22. So is Investiture unlimited? Or is there a certain amount in the Cosmere? I'm not sure if it matters much in the grand scheme of things, just curious.
  23. It took me a while to decide whether I was Indecisive or not... so I think that answers that question. I literately went back and changed that marker like 4 times.
  24. We now know more about the Willshapers (along with all the other orders) but you actually weren’t far off. Willshapers focus on freedom, and respect people’s ability to choose. So the Ideals will probably be along those lines, but they are innovators. Well maybe innovators isn’t the right word, but they were builders and shapers. Second Ideal will probably be something like “I respect others ability to choose freely” or more personal: “I will choose for myself the path I am to take” (though if that’s correct, the following Ideals would vary dramatically from Radiant to Radiant) Willshapers seem like the type to free POWs, so thinking along those lines the third might be: “I will work to free those who are captive” or: “I will fight against oppressors in the name of freedom” I think you were pretty close for the Fourth Ideal, probably something along the lines of “I will trust the decisions others make, and not judge them for it” (though that seems close to what I said for the second Ideal, so one of these is probably wrong.) the Fifth Ideal though, is probably less “I will work for them, not for me” and more “I will protect those who have Chosen their own path” or “I will teach others so they are capable of choosing their own way” Would these Ideals work? Maybe, but probably better in a different order. Though considering the focus on freedom, Willshapers Ideals are most likely less binding, something closer to the Lightweavers rather then Skybreakers. Also Couldn’t figure a way to incorporate building/shaping into an ideal, but it seems likely that it would be in there somewhere. Edit: Sorry I know you were going to edit this theory based on our new information, I probably should have waited, just couldn’t resist!
