I agree that not all of the death rattles are specifically sent by odium, too many of them just don’t seem like something that would further his agenda. Lots of them seem to come from knights Radient or common people that wouldn’t interest him, Although we don’t know everything so I’m probably wrong. But take 11 for example, assuming the “broken one” is talking about odium, do we really thing odium would call himself broken? little things like that just make it unlikely that odium sends all of the death rattles. However, I don’t think Moeloch would actively rebel against odium, as he is an unmade that is technically part of odiums power. I think that the death rattles are simply something that happens, not something that Moelach picks and chooses. Though again, I’m probably wrong. At this point it could be either of the two theories, or neither, something that we don’t even know to start theorizing about.

I don't know if the death rattles work like this, but Moelach is a splinter of odium, right? so he is essentially part of the vessel, or at least controlled by Rayse, so anything Rayse has experienced is essentially fair game for death rattles. If that's true, then #12 could have been from Hoid, because Rayse would have been there to witness Hoid saying that after they killed Adonalsium. This is assuming that everything I've said is correct with isn't probable, but still fun to think about. I don't think Odium is Passion. To me that feels to close to ambition for them to be separate shards, although Odium does say: "I am emotion incarnate. I am the soul of the spren and of men. I am lust, joy, hatred, anger, and exultation. I am glory and I am vice. I am the very thing that makes men men." When he's talking to Dalinar, so you might be correct. In any case, I do think that Rayse regrets killing Tanavast, to a point that it pained I'm deeply when he did it.

Thanks! As to who could have viewed him as a brother? Though it could have been any of the original 16 shards, I don't think it would have been them. It seems more likely that it would have been Hoid or Frost (Was Frost present when Adonalsim died? I don't remember) And that's the reason Hoid didn't take a shard, on top of the fact that he probably didn't want the effects the shards had on their vessels. He didn't feel like he deserved it, kind of like how Kaladin doesn't think he deserves to live while everyone else dies. It seems like that's something Brandon might do. As to your theory, I personally think it holds more merit. Is there cannon to when Odium killed Honor? if there is then feel free to ignore this, but what if it was before Rayse was completely controlled by Odium, at a point where he wanted to kill Tanavast, but still knew deep down it was wrong, If that's true, (and someone helped him- maybe one of his unmade?) then it seems likely that Rayse would say something like that.

I apologize if this has already been asked, but could Sja-anat corrupt a bonded spren? We know that corrupted spren can bond (Renarin and Glys), but could an already bonded spren be corrupted by Her? Lets say Syl was exploring while Kaladin was sleeping, and came into contact with Sja-anat, who tried to corrupt Syl. Would it work? Or would her bond protect her? If it does, does it matter how strong the bond is? lets say this happened late WoR, when Syl and Kaladins bond was strained. Would it protect her then? Also, can a corrupted spren heal, or are they stuck like that forever?

This actually sounds very probable. As long as we are on the topic of past deaths, It might be about Adonalsim, and how the original 16 Killed him. Reference to "What have We done?"
-
Well its about Honors death, so maybe this is from the storm fathers point of view? He saw that in honors absence the "storms were dying" and that land was quiet and mournful, so he decided to take up the torch and do Honors work the best way he could.
-
I think this one might be about Kaladin and Oroden? But that’s a little obvious, so maybe two of the bridgemen. OR it’s Adolin standing over Kaladin, and him dying motivates Adolin to bring Maya back and bond with her? The huge flash of storm light required to do that might heal Kaladin? That might be cool though it’s a .000000001% chance of happening.

I'm pretty sure she's dissolving because all she makes is smoke, If a soul caster were to make only stone, they would slowly turn into stone. Regardless, soul casting changes the body. Soul casting Radients like Shallan and Jasnah don't have these effects because of their Nahel bonds. I think that when Normal ardents soul cast, they take power from the infused gemstones yes, but it needs something else too, and because they lack the Nahel bond, the soul casting is forced to draw from the Ardents body, effectively destroying it. Elsecallers and Lightweavers of course have the Bond, and so their bodies are unaffected because the energy needed to soul cast can be given through their Bonds. (This is a theory of mine I don't know if it holds up against cosmere cannon but yea)

NotBurtReynolds Can Stormlight give enough extra strength that a humanoid could use a Shardbow w/out Plate? Brandon Sanderson Not normally. I think the "Not normally" is an exception for Rock. Because of his status as a squire and his unique bond to all spren ( alaii’iku ) he was able to draw enough power to draw the bow that most squires could "not normally" do. I also think rock is going to become like the Lorax for the spren. Its a completely unfounded theory, but he hasn't bonded with any spren in particular, so I think that instead of becoming a radiant, he will speak for the spren in ways the other radients can't, because radients spren have been seen to have limited memories. Probs won't happen but I really want a Lorax moment for rock so I guess its wishful thinking

Has Shallan spoken all five oaths? I know that pattern said in WoR that she had no more words to say, but that she had things to do, referring to the fact that she needed to accept her past. Does this mean that she has spoken all five Lightweaver oaths, and that she needs to overcome her terrible coping mechanism to be a full Knights Radient? If she has spoken all of her oaths, that doesn't make sense, because in Kal's case, the words only come when he's ready for them, so how would she have known them/ spoken them?

He and the other highprinces think of the war as a game. Sadeas simply doesnt care enough to train his troops well, he prefers quality not quantity. HIs soldiers are also a reflection of his personality. they are sloppy, uncaring, and rude, just like him. It's one of the ways they Brandon showed that Sadeas doesn't care about honor, he cares about money. It's cheaper to have a sloppy camp, because he doesn't have to keep it clean.

Wait actually that would be so cool. I approve.

okay okay okay. I see what you're saying about him becoming irrelevant, but I don't think good ol' Sanderson would do that. He's such a brilliant author I am fully confident that he would be able to keep Adolin as an important character without being a radiant. Honestly I have no idea whats going to happen with Adolin, but whatever it is i'm sure it will be amazing. Personally I hope he becomes a partial radiant, and that Maya either cant form a normal bond anymore, or she doesn't trust anyone enough to do so.
-
Honestly, I want Maya to be revived, but not bond with Adolin, they become friends, and shes his spren, but because she was "Dead" she lost her ability to make someone a radiant. I think that would be cool

Okay I wanna take a second to talk about Moash. I know a lot of people hate him but I think that the story would be less without him. He just adds so much to the story, and too be honest I really hope he doesn't have have a come back arch. Well written villains are the best characters in my opinion. What makes villains scary are when they are relatable- and moash is. Hes what Kaladin would have become without syl, and that makes him terrifying. I think he would be an incredible side villain. Better then Amaram, because everyone hates Amaram, but Moash used to be bridge four and we know why he's bad, which makes him all the better to be a villain. But think about a big fight (Physical) between kaladin and Moash- It would be so amazing. Their dialogue in the fight would be so powerful. They reluctantly start to fight, kaladins fighting to protect Urithiru, and Moash is fighting at odiums command, but neither want to fight each other. Moash is trying to explain himself- not excuse himself because he knew it was wrong, just explain. But kaladin relates so hard to Moash and that what makes it so hard to fight him. Moash is trying hard to beat Kaladin, to prove to himself that he is better than kaladin, and that kaladin is wrong to protect those he hates. During the course of the fight, Moash starts to shift from explaining himself, to anger at kaladin because he knows Kaladin is right. And then Moash starts to beg Kaladin for forgiveness, because he wants to be part of bridge four again. As the fight comes to an end, Kaladin realizes whats really going on with moash. He pins moash down with syl, holding the spearhead to Moash's neck. Then kaladin says: "Moash, I forgive you. I. forgive. you." Then he walks away. He flies back to Urithiru. Moash stays there, sitting at the sight of his defeat, broken. Kaladin forgave him. The problem with Moash is he cant forgive himself. He knows what he did was wrong, but he wont go back to bridge four because he hasn't made peace with himself. He continues to fight with odium, but now he knows that he could leave, and go back to kaladin, but he doesnt. And that what makes him a powerful villain, because he wants so badly to be back with his brothers in bridge four but he wont go because he doesnt feel like he deserves it. I dont know, I find him to be one of the most interesting characters in the stormlight archive.

seeing braize in general hoid doing anything renarin realizing he is amazing figuring out how the planes were shattered Galladon meeting hoid and last but not least im excited for Moash and his arch. I dont think he's gonna have a redemption and I dont want him to because he's a great villain... hes what kaladin would have been without syl to save him and I love him for it.

I dont understand how something can be this beautiful

This is something that Ive actually wondered about myself. The Dor (Dor being investure) can be accessed many different ways, Through Aons in Elantris, the monasteries in Fjorden, the ChayShan dance that Shuden performs, ect. These different manifestations aren't separated explicitly into dominion and devotion, And these two shards share many features. In Sel, the way the Dor is accessed is tied to land, and each area has a different way to access the Dor. For example, Aons are more powerful the closer they are to Elantris. Only people native to an area can use that bridge to the Dor. Again think of Elantris, only those born In or close to Arelon can become elantrians. It seems the only requirement to access power in Sel is location, and determination to learn the invested arts. In some cases it can be easy to separate these pathways to the Dor into Devotion and Dominion. The Dakor monasteries, which are obsessed with world domination, are easily tied to Dominion. The Elantrians are worshiped by many in Arelon, and so Aons are most likely Devotion. The ChayShan is a martial art, and martial are takes years of, one might say devotion, to master, making it the investure of Devotion. The frustrating thing is not all of the forms of invessture on Sel can be categorized, such as the potions used to turn Hrathen and Serene into temporary Elantrians (these potions have been revealed to be and invested art, though little is known about them). Hope this helps!

I read WoK for the first time maybe 7 months ago, and since then I have read all of Sandersons Cosmere books except Mistborn era 2 and White sand, including the Reckoners and Skyward & Starsight. I thought it was time to finally join the 17th shard because I am now well versed in most cosmere books. I guess thats all I have to say, but i'm happy i'm here!

So i'm not sure if anyone can answer this, but here goes it. when a soul caster turns something into blood, does that blood genetically match the soul caster, or does it not match anyone, like a neutral without any defining genetic features? I was re-reading the way of kings and it got me thinking when Shallan soul casts the goblet into blood and fakes suicide... If somehow they had the technology to test the blood, (maybe they will in mistborn era three who knows) would it be hers or just basic blood? this doesn't seem like it would be important to the Cosmere but its always been a question of mine, maybe i'll have to take it up with the big man himself.

So i've always been confused about how Rock sees Syl? Does he have a connection to her through the spiritual realm, or is it because he's a Horneater, and if that the case can all Horneaters see spren even when the spren don't show themselves? Is it because of the nature of the Horneater peaks?
