  1. I didn't say "use this system" I said "we could pull some elements from this old idea of mine to make whatever we end up going with work."
  2. Right-o, Fumecasting... there it is! In my oldest notebook It... ... ... ...Holy smokes this is dated Look at this pre-Nen-Enlightenment Fadran stuff: Fumecasters naturally generate six smoky tendrils (each one of the colors of the rainbow); on their own, these are harmless, but can be "consumed" in various amounts to cast spells. Red: "Fluid" (Change) Orange: "Solidity" (Consistency) Yellow: "Energy" (Electric, Heat, Light, etc) Green: "Spirit" (Healing and such) Blue: "Enhancement" (just provides additional Oomf) Purple: ??? (I had a wild card) Fumes are roughly measured in "portions," of which each fume has about 2.0; most spells will only consume a total of 0.5 - 1.0 fumage, while the more powerful ones often get up to 1.5. I never really bothered to define what the various spells were or how often the fumes regenerated or... well, anything. It was for a soft RP, so I did a soft magic system. Things that could be used: Color as a consumable resource for a quasi-alchemic system Rainbow Wizards Things that probably should not be used: The resource designations I created anything else
  3. It was just slow more than anything, but lasted quite long - relatively speaking Basically I BSed a magic system for it that could potentially work here

  12. I don't advocate for Communism, but I'd just like to point out that the current Deepest Hole Ever Drilled was made for the express purpose of Finding Oil; while the previous record-holder was made by Soviet Russia, who did it Because Why Not

isn't this the exact opposite of advocating for communism

like if the goal is deeper holes

and the deeper hole was motivated by greed

seems like one party definitely won here

  13. Dorgadir Barydii, Head Engineer, blinked through his little bokoblin glasses. "Yes you... did... "Whatever. That's not important. I don't mean to speak ill of your machinations, Lord Kavros; simply to provide constructive criticism. I'll be taking my lunch break now."
  14. @Ancient Elantrian @Scars of Hathsin @Shard_Blades Master Feisyyd set a hand on his shoulder, staring out towards the Assassin. She spoke to her students, but held his gaze. "He is separating body and mind, allowing his essence to scatter freely, and wielding shadows as a medium. Your Presence, Sith, when you enter the state - it comes from all directions. Rather than dissolving your form entirely, or pushing it between dimensions, your physical body exists in every nearby shadow as a probability; but your mind is maintained in a meditative state, so that you can choose an exit at any time." Krarik chuckled. "All that from a few scattered clues?" "Similarly," she continued, "your body maintains its momentum between states. If you're moving when you enter a shadow, it will be moving once you exit. I suspect that this Step of Shadow has a small effective range, given its potency - as well as your decision to make battle here, among the pillars at dawn. It's quite possible that you can only maintain the state for a limited time; likely less than thirty seconds." Nayla finally let out a breath, drawing herself back into a more confident mindset. Honestly, she could barely follow a word of what Master Aria was saying, but... well, she seemed pretty sure of herself. "Which means, Darth Krarik," Master Feisyyd concluded, "that if we force you into Shadow Step after cancelling your momentum, and guard any places where you can emerge, we will win."
  15. "If it's just the festival, then why do we need a superweapon in the first place? The lot of us could probably take care of it."
  16. "We're all working for you because we wanna... y'know. Take over the world and such. How are we supposed to do that if everything gets exploded?"
  17. "Sure thing, boss," said one Particular Minion. "But, uh... you never did say what your plan was."
