  1. She is. I had completly forgotten her gender
  2. They do. It's not the secret that caused the Recreance, we don't know what that secret is Ah, I had assumed it was because you didn't know
  3. I did mean to put "didn't" It's possible we're not using the word "idealism" the same way. In Dawnshard Rysn and Nikli had a discussion about about imperfect solutions for an imperfect world, in my mind trying to forbid hazing rituals is idealism but trying to keep them manageable is not. I think Honour would be okay with that level of non-idealism I think they will manage, they're will be issues of course, but not enough to destroy the orders I don't have enough knowledge of ancient Grec philosophy to answer to anything there The Honoursprens of Oathbringer said there a way to safely separate Syl from Kal since he was not Oath 5 Also I did not. They heard the Stormfather say Honour had raved about the Dawnshards which is something that will have a far lesser psychological effect (I'm a he)
  4. After thinking about it a bit longer, I think this sentence is a complete red-herring. If there's some variation there should be some significantly worse versions of the gemstones
  5. I don't think it has anything to do with the Ghostbloods, jewel grade gemstones from Scadrial and other planets are probably perfect enough gemstones for their purposes
  6. Whimsy for Shallan and Rua, possibly for Syl too
  7. I was just answering to you saying Navani had not shown she had Dalinar's power. Even if the Nightwatcher does gives Adhesion the Fused would say Adhesion is only of Honour because the very concept of Knight Radiants is of Honour, and they might be right. That she is They are directly contradicted by the Voidbinding chart Possible. By the way the Shard the most likely to be the fourth member of the binding Dawnshard's quadrant is Odium.
  8. The new Radiants didn't hear Honour raving about the Dawnshards. Nor the dark secret that actually caused the Recreance Of course they're not wrong about humans, they're wrong about sprens People can fight for an ideal without being idealist. I don't see your point Do we have any reason to think it applies to SA in any way? Odium is not Pathos. You'd have to add Devotion and probably Mercy to him to fully obtain Pathos Why would they be? Honour+Cultivation+Odium was never supposed to encompass the totality of human nature And? Current day Honoursprens are still fallible Currently a new Recreance cannot happen, Radiants would unbound their sprens without killing them
  9. Devotion for Adolin, maybe even the full Dor, same for Raoden Dominion for Galivar Ruin+Odium for both Young Dalinar and Kel @Aspiring Writer I think it should be moved to the RoW zone, and the two above person obviously agree
  10. Navini has demonstrated light creation, which you had associated Adhesion. And Melishi could see the blue lines. The Fused don't have Boundsmiths, they believe Honour and Cultivation created Gravity, and are Surgebinders so I wouldn't expect them to know anything about the Void of Adhesion. Honestly I think Odium either just lied or created the Fused before Honour created Adhesion, if anything we've said about unbound Adhesion is true he would have had reasons to fear what an Adhesion Fused could have done if they rebelled. Also the Nightwatcher is a she, not an it. I think Yolish lightweaving is confirmed to be weaker on Roshar than normal, for some reason. On the other hand it's true that the Nahel Bound gave weaker powers before the oaths where created
  11. Probably just store it for an emergency, like I already do with the money remaining at the end of the month Making big posts in RPs definitely. Which might seems inconsistent with the fact that I'm only involved in two RPs and mostly do one-liners in one of them, but not every RPs and characters are well-fitted big posts My second favorite thing to do is theorising and reading theories Probably either Adonalsium or Khriss, people who have an actually idea of what's going on It's an ametrine, the left part is made of amethyst and the right part is made of citrine You can transform amethysts into citrines by heating them to 500°C and transform citrines into amethysts with beta radiations, if you heat an amethyst to between 250°C and 500°C it becomes transparent instead of yellow and the transition zone of the one in my profile picture is violet instead of transparent so I think it was made the second way How well it would hold Stormlight is on the list of question I want to ask Brandon Thanks
  12. The Night of Sorrow
  13. Good point, the old order was probably more about Justice than Laws so whether or not exploiting loopholes to help people is a good idea would probably be a point of dissension among them, many would say you're supposed to prevent the situation where you need the loop hole from happening in the first place
  14. Well, yes and no I think a Skybreaker using a loophole to help someone would be fine if they made the law better afterward. Note some Skybreaker will see the fact that people can starve while there's food as a bigger issue in the law than the loophole
  15. My idea was that if the Windrunners, who's order's purpose is to protect people, have an oath saying you can't save everyone then not helping everyone is not against the Radiants' Oaths. Both Windrunners and Edgedancers would want to help Herdraz but that doesn't mean they would Sapient sprens tend to avoid the Cognitive Realm around places attacked by Fused because it's generally also controlled by Odium's forces, sometimes there's even an Unmade or two around
  16. I hadn't realised how close what Venli said was from Hoid said about the two first types of people XD Dalinar, returned to the state of living weapon that should always have been his
  17. That's a big point of contention actually, does Sja add, transform or both? And if she transform, did she transform the Honour part, the Cultivation part or both? We have arguments to say he's not pure Odium but we can't say much more I don't know. The WoB ask about "atium and lerasium alloys for each metal" which if Brandon understood the question right (he sometimes doesn't) would imply you can make other Gold-Atium alloy than malatium. When I first read this WoB I had understood it as "you can make viable alloy between Atium and other metal than the 16", silver being the most likely to give a viable allow since we know it has magical properties
  18. After they accomplished their crusade but yes, before the fifth. My point was that since Windrunners have squires at Oath 3 then they also start teaching people to protect at Oath 3 which would make having the Oath 5 being about teaching people to protect redundant I think a Windrunner would more likely say things like "by letting them starve you almost committed a murder which is worse", abusing loophole to save people feels more Skybreakery in my opinion. Of course a Skybreaker doing that would be very respected by Windrunners
  19. From what the Highspren said about the Skybreaker's 5th oath, I think the Windrunners' 5th oath will either be both about Protecting and Leading, I like the "I'll teach other how to protect" idea but it seems contradicted by the fact Windrunners get squires at the 3rd oath I love that one sooo much Contradicts Kal's character development. Remember before the battle of Thaylen Field he could not hurt people without the "us" and "them" rationalisation If any order have an oath telling to hurt no one it'll be the Edgedancers (remember, the actual Radiants medics) and it doesn't seems like they will
  20. This sentence is in complete opposition with everything SA stands for Dalinar would be a good fit for merging Honour and Odium, Kal would be a good fit for just Honour. A bit of topic but am I the only one who think Adolin would be a good fit for Devotion? Or maybe for the Dor?
  21. It was actually said at one point, by the same person who brought the eyes being blue and not green in the first place because why not. None taken
  22. "I accept that there will be those I cannot protect" No it's not They didn't have any to spare. Also I'm not sure but did they control the north of Jah Keved at that moment? If they did not then they helping was physically impossible Ashprens seems very divided on whether or not to bound Radiants, some hate humanity and won't, some hate Radiants and will help Taravangian destroy them and the one Ral-na bounded doesn't to be of either side
  23. Resealing is changing the past of the person so the wounds didn't happen/ was less serious Say it's based on the self image was indeed a mistake but it's still related. When Shai stamp a stained-glass window so it had never been broken the window accept it more strongly than normal because it still saw itself as not broken
  24. I had forgotten that part. We have enough intrinsically immortal beings to assume this is not the same in the Cosmere (It was not removed at that moment, just hidden.)
