  1. Welcome to an other round of will mathiau get a scored sheet this time Here's Marie, she's probably a bit above the cap but I'd like to know by how much.
  2. Folorian's heart skipped a beat. Aln thought he was almost a sage? Him? So Pel was alright, good. "I... Yes, I know what he's talking about. I said my first truth just before making us drop." Rust, she was going to ask what he'd said, wasn't she? "We... We should find somewhere safe for the night, and refill out spheres. As you can see I don't even have enough to weave words for you"
  3. Hearing a deaf person's tense laughter was a surprising experience. In normal conversations the pitch of Aln's voice occasionally jump due to her not being able to hear it, here it was all over the place "A sage once said it's when things are the less funny we need to laugh the most" He said looking in her bright green eyes "At least I think a sage said that. If not the certainly should have." He took a memory of her face and compared it to other he took over the years, it was impressive how both brown and green eyes felt completely natural on her face Hmmm.... Hush you. "But yes, I'm not sure 'stealthy' would be a good word for what just happened. By the way, is Pel alright? I remember not all of him got out of the monster you attacked"
  4. Honestly the only thing I can't think of as a post would be to have Folorian help Aln with the rubbles so I think we can just jump to the Boarding house
  5. @ZincAboutIt : @AonEne will ship anything, she’s like the FedEx of RP
  6. Really? I had understood you could not burn a metalmind for the normal effect because the reason Compounding works is that you're asking Preservation to send power to fuel Allomancy but the power find an abnormal key so you get an abnormal power, and you can't stop the metalmind from being an abnormal key (unless it's your metalmind) Well, guess I'll just say her father's atiummind are in an undisclosed safe location and call it a day then
  7. Well, for what it's worth, you didn't confuse me I honestly don't have an idea how to write romance either, but we can't figure it out unless we try, right? I think Folorian would also be slow to enter a relationship, or at least be slow to realise he's in love. Also considering most of the reasons he's in love come from the period that was rewritten by the Forgery he would just not enter a relationship I remember that, Folorian had existed for, like, one page Yes, they're very shippable
  8. Assuming a character owned a atiummind keyed to to a dead person (and therefore completely unusable for any of atium's interesting uses to my knowledge), would it still cost point? I'm not sure you can burn spikes taken from other people, same issue as with trying to burn someone else's metalmind.
  9. I thought she had already given them That's a good idea. I don't really care whether Pel or Aln is the one who bring the oath up, and whether it has anything to do with them hearing him say it or with the fact Aln thinks he said it at the Emporium. I just don't want Folorian to be the one to bring it up Also, do you allow me to have him have a crush on Aln? One one hand, this seems like a major mistake on Sudiov's part. On the other hand, I don't see even Voidus could exploit the Church too much
  10. Joke is, she might actually see it as a positive. She's a gloryseeker, and would be more glorious than forcing an mythical organisation to acknowledge your existence and live to save the day? In the previous world she would have known that was far to dangerous from the stories of here parents, but they didn't say them in this one so... True I don't think just knowing spikes are a thing would be an issue. Knowing how to create them would. I meant for my character
  11. Ah yes, spikes. Hmmm that will require making here a bit more neutral than originally planed but I think it should work On a not totally unrelated note, who much point would intangibility cost (assuming the person can't become tangible again while in a solid for obvious "it's broken" reasons" And would having the atiumind of a dead person, unless I'm mistaken there shouldn't any way to use in any other way than a jewellery Aside for the obvious like telling each other what they learned, I guess the first thing to do would be for them to find a place to sleep that's not Cassie's house, the Boarding House could work. I think Aln heard Ronald mention his tailor so maybe they could investigate that? Also Aln mentioned wanting to test how much being close to Folorian affected her bane so we could say they did that. While we're on here bane, would Aln or Pel have heard/seen Folorian's truth? If not would they have asked him about it? It's not something he really wants to talk about with anyone, especially not Aln, but he would tell her if she insisted a bit. It's generally not a good idea to have two distinct characters that are supposed to be often together being played by the same person (except in cases when you can't do otherwise like radiant's sprens) especially when these characters are supposed to sometime fight alongside each other as it kind of breaks the point of the index. If you want a second character it's probably better to go with something unrelated to Darien. says the guy currently trying to get one of his character's sister in the AV Also an anti-hero who kind of butts heads with Darien is probably what I'll end up when I finish Marie so they would probably be somewhat redundant with each other *Snikers in the slum still existing*
  12. Is the second person supposed to look like he's chocking her?
  13. "Crem. I thought maybe with the oath-" Folorian winced. People gaining access to a Surge after saying an oath was far from unheard of so that was a logical guess. The issue was he had not managed to say his truth. He saw Aln stop and asked Kerr to watch what ahead. It was a second monster who was holding someone in one of its many hands, Kerr couldn't tell if she was alive. Aln swung Pel at what Kerr assumed was the monster position. He wasn't surprised to see part of him him disappear, he was after all hidden behind the monster's flesh, he would reappear when he left it. Pel did not reappear. Aln stumbled backwards. "Folorian, I think you're going to need to try!" Rust. What could he do against two monsters? He couldn't soulcast the ground under them without risking falling. Make the roof fall on them? No, it was to high to touch. Was he going to have to soulcast air to a protection for his first try? Wait. Risk falling? He knelled and put his hand on the ground, trying to reach in the cognitive realm You can make it easier A whisper escaped from his lips "My best friend's mind broke by my fault" He came into contact with something on the other side, the soul of the tile they were on, a large square of a colour different enough for the ones next to it that it didn't see itself as just a part of the floor. Perfect. "Would you like to change? To sand maybe?" Light poured from his spheres to the tile as it reverted to the sand the concrete remember having used to be and Folorian and Aln fell out of the reach of the two monsters
  14. "I still can't Soulcast." He'd just tried and I hit a wall instead of peering through. No, that wasn't exact. He hadn't hit the wall, he had just felt it. There wasn't really something stopping him, was it? It was simply a mental block, like the one preventing him to say his truth. Was it one he could pass through? "Since staying in the physical realm is not necessary to Soulcast, I don't think my bane will let me consciously control whether I slip to the Cognitive" And he wasn't sure whether his subconscious would keep him here. "Even i I do stay here, I'm not experienced at all so it'd be better to do a very simple Soulcasting... Maybe concrete to sand could be? Are we on the lowest floor or is there one under us?" Oh, she meant she could modify the pipe's material, that made more sense "Where did you think the explosion was? I think I zoned out there..." Over the course of the years, NullBlade had become far more skilled at estimating the direction and distance of an explosion than he'd have wanted -curtsy of epics interested in nothing but chaos- but in a place with as many soundproof walls as the Einladung it was difficult to make a precise idea "I'm not one hundred percent sure, I'd say either the entrance or the wing opposite to this one, it was the physical one I think" He hesitated to speak again as they entered the escalator from earlier "Cassie, I have something important to tell you... No. Not yet, it's not safe here" Wait, when had he started to call her my her nickname?
  15. Good Then I guess we should just signal @Rushu42 someone wants to join her guild
  16. Let be me more clear as to what I want to know: I have a potential character who's a Willshaper who wants to prove herself to the world and to herself. Can you give me reasons she'd want to join your guild? On a similar vein, at some point Mac had decided the Forgery had became a sapient spren. When we destroy it we could say that the spren was not annihilated but just splintered and now we have tiny more or less sentient/sapient bits of whatever mix of magic the Stranger used to create it (beside the Dor) existing in places they should not, especially the Alleys Folorian: What's wrong with copper jewellery?
  17. I'm only assuming you have to have more energy than what you're trying to Enlighten.
  18. About the STE, I don't think I have heard your answer on what it was actually about
