  1. Do you still have that Anguish WoB? Also there's a WoB saying there's a Shard called Ingenuity, though it could easily have been changed to Invention/Virtuosity
  2. The Tanix aren't really main characters, they're animal with cytonic powers people bound with (in the sense someone can bound with their dog, not in the sense someone bound a spren). She should be able to see his words It may not have been clear, but when Kerr is speaking in italic he's speaking to Folorian's mind while when he speaks "between quotation marks" he's speaking normally Could be reality starting too, knowing R&D
  3. Not in the Forged world though I don't think they're actually that different, while we've only seen Venli use Cohesion on other things there's no reason to think she can't use it on herself and phase through things. It might be a Savant ability though, with "never being truly solid again" as its savant affliction
  4. While he may not have decided on what it's exact name would be, he definitely know what that Shard is about
  5. More likely a rocket than a spaceship
  6. "Do you mean the unnatural earthquake or did something else happen?" He asked as he started following her, and everything other than her, including his perception of time, faded from his senses. "If you don't mind, I'll take a memory of your current appearance for in case we need to confuse people about who of us is you later." Like most Lightweaver, Folorian's illusions required a focus to create them. His was the memories in his copperminds. "There's something following us on the wall. Hmm a... slug of sludge?"
  7. We currently don't have any idea what the STE is about (are they good? bad? neutral?) so not many people would join it either way. If you tell what it's about then I have a few character idea I was preparing for the next era that I could finish and make part of your guild. I did not, and I'm older than most people here. more french too though
  8. Cultivation is controlled growth, and one of the components of Science, I don't think it's opposed to Invention in any way. But yes, Virtuosity is likely to be the Shard the closest to Invention (at least in the sense Cultivation is the closest to Ruin) and not opposite to it.
  9. If I'm not mistaken, we have confirmation it's from the point of view of someone we already know of but hasn't have a story centred on them yet and basically have confirmation it's a man from the cover, don't we? We also know it will require more Cosmere knowledge to understand than the other ones and that it's something Brandon have wanted to write for years. I'm betting on Nazh
  10. A third thing to consider is that a dead Shard in the CR or PR is gonna dilate time so no matter how old the Shroud is from that system's point of view, it's probably much older from the point of view of someone from Roshar or Scadrial.
  11. There's always a chance Ingenuity is still a Shard, even if it's unlikely considering both Invention and Whimsy already exists 0. There will be a Dawnshard about thought, Autonomy will probably be one of it's aspects. Creation will be the Dawncommand the Dawnshards are shards of.
  12. So had I, until yesterday
  13. Nullblade's foot missed the slug. It was probably for the better, in retrospect trying to squish an eldrich slug under his shoe would probably have backfired "Null? Is something wrong? If you want to go first I don't really mind." Null's heart skipped a beat, why had she called him Null? Only Perfect had ever done that. Probably more importantly, why did she ask that? Of course something was wrong they were attacked by slug slug! The slug disinterested itself of Cassandra and disappeared in a crack of the wall. That seemed very unlikely to be a coincidence, and both Cassie and it be affected by something at the same time? Had the slug somehow cause Cassie too... what, forget what had happened in the last five minutes? That was the only explanation thing he could think of. Either way, it was probably better to act like everything was alright, whoever had done that probably expected him to be affected too. "No, I'm alright, just a bit surprised by the earthquake. Though if you want to shorten my name, please call me Blade. 'Null' is how my wife used to call me so hearing you say it feels weird." He really wasn't over her, was he? But then again, how did you go over someone who sent you loving hugs from the past? @Ashbringer Folorian couldn't see a thing while he walked through the hospital. Not in the sense that he only saw darkness, like when you close your eyes at night, nor in the sense as if he'd been blinded by a flashbang and persistence of vision was preventing him from seeing anything else, not even in the sense that his vision was blurry and he couldn't make out any details. No. His sense of vision was purely and simply gone, like it had never existed. Well, not exactly. His sense of vision was perfectly working, and could pick up all of the details of the well-lit corridor of the hospital he was in. What didn't work was his ability to be conscious of anything he saw that was not directly linked to the task he was currently doing. Meaning Aln, the archives and panels indicating the direction of the archives. Any other information was transferred to the subconscious parts of his brain, which took care of the 'standing straight', 'walking' and 'avoiding other collision with other persons a bit too narrowly for their tastes' tasks on its own. @Rushu42
  14. NullBlade sees them too, even if he technically doesn't remember anything from the previous world Me too @Fatebreaker
  15. Yes, Null was kicked out of the festival by an angry mob before they could meet
  16. About that Probably an earlier version of Virtuosity (arguably even more connected to Survival) I'm not 100% the questions "what Shard would tempt Hoid the most?" and "what Shard would be tempted by Hoid the most?" have the same answers
  17. Ah. Then I'll say he missed
  18. I don't see why Neither do Breaths
  19. I was thinking maybe the Vessel just let go of the Shard and let it collapse on itself
  20. Probably just Virtuosity's light. Or more likely light and anti-light since they create heat when they touch Does look end-negative if that's what you mean It's likely both are a part of the magic system that got partially broken when its Shard died I think they could probably do far more than that, grant them a personality for example
  21. Note that it's still possible for Virtuosity's vessel to be alive as a sliver
  22. So, would it make sense for them to to leave after having reset Cassie and ignore Null? And would squishing them under your feet have any effect? Is he talking about Null and Sanax? If yes it's funny cause they just randomly popped here a few days before the Forgery by pure coincidence, which I doubt Sudiov will buy.
  23. Yes, NullBlade did see the oily slug fall on the nurse "Did that thing come from the gap you were talking about?" He nearly fell to the ground as the building was shaken by an earthquake. When he was stable again he saw the slug had fallen from the Nurse and was no crawling toward Cassandra. "No." He calmly said as he tried to squish it under his feet. So they were fine, good. He'd have to tell to Aln as soon as possible. "Thank you. Knowing they're fine will be enough for..." The felling of free-fall overwhelmed his bane. While it was to late to be able to stop it, the few moments of clarity did give Pel an occasion to speak to him, giving a short report of what had happened in the archive room before she called him back. Folorian checked his copperminds to confirm what he already knew: there was no known fault near the Alleycity -or anywhere in the Alleyverse for that matter. Which only left one possiblity. It's investiture. Hmmm... And right before Aln summons Pel. Yes, it's far too much for a coincidence. Agreed. Are we helping? Obviously. Kerr hid Folorian's shoulder to watch for obvious threat while he was walking toward the archives. @Rushu42@Fatebreaker
  24. No worry, take all the time you need why am I getting deja-vu Actually, it's the other way around. If you send one second close to a mass of investiture, more than one second will have pass far from that mass. Like with black-holes Also, did we ever figure the case where NullBlade/Sanax try to move/punch something affected by the bubble? Obviously slowed down objects would be harder to move, but would an object slowed a hundred times just be very hard to move or would it be effectively unmovable? Would things punched by get hurt more or less than normal? If it's less, would the fact they come a hundred times more often than normal just compensate it or would it make it stronger/weaker than normal? @Fatebreaker, How does the slug's wrong memory sensing work? Are they sending something to the persons that goes to their mind and check if everything's alright or are the minds with wrong memories constantly sending some kind of "this isn't right" signal that the slugs are receiving? If it's the former, it shouldn't work on NullBlade (unless the slugs are somehow of Shard-level power) and they might be able to tell that it's not working. If it's the latter then it will perfectly work on him and they will observe that his memories are completely normal.
