Well, I just finished this book. Allow me to give you a general idea of what my (mostly internal) reaction to reading it was. (Some slightly more sane reactions) I kinda expected Rayse to last a little longer than that, but whatever. Oh nice, Hoid got outplayed. That is terrifying. Kelsier is Thaidakar, ghostbloods not totally evil? Kalak's cool, too bad that Jezrien's dead for good, Isar is..... not sane. Maybe Shallan haters will like her more now? I am split between hating Moash with every fiber of my being, and pitying him from the depths of my soul. There goes my Shardplate/fifth oath theory. Kaladin is awesome. Windrunners are attracting pieces of Honor to them as they swear the oaths, which increases their connection to Honor and their power. Can they perhaps summon enough of Honor's power to create miniature perpendicularities, granting them infinite stormlight? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. New fifth ideal theory? TEN DAYS? AND I HAVE TO WAIT THREE YEARS?!?!?!??!?!??!??!?!? (I can see why this had to be written before The Lost Metal. That basically confirms that Kelsier is going to be in it. Also, Odium will remain on Roshar no matter what happens with the contest, but he also might be able to send agents to other planets. We got a bunch of new shard names and Cosmere lore so casually. Mercy helped Odium Mercykill Ambition? how badly was Ambition wounded? Maybe her Vessel was almost killed, losing all ability to control his intent, but still being alive enough to keep her power from being directionless, meaning that all she was was a force of pure Ambition dangerous enough to potentially defeat Odium and go on to destroy the Cosmere? Just a guess.

I don't. It's in the back of the book for a reason.

Well, I liked Lift, but in this book... She just seemed too... serious. And then realize that it wasn't a vision of the future when Hoid turns out to be a good person.
-
Meh. Kaladin's scene where he realized that the fourth oath was "I will protect everyone but Moash, because seriously, storm him." was better in my opinion. Especially since it was followed by Kaladin dying to save Moash's life, rejecting his fourth ideal. Of course, the fact that the entire series so far has just been a dream that Dalinar had while drunk did detract from my enjoyment of it a bit.

No, I'm pretty sure they do exist, they just betrayed the Radiants and joined the Fused. In the second set of interludes, Talash the Fused says this: While looking at a large group of Fused that have powers similar to Stonewards.
-
Um, I just told you about the progression. She confronted Jasnah to become her ward, and then later confronted Jasnah about being a Radiant, the latter being under a ton of pressure. The best way to get over your fears is to confront them. If Shallan can confront Jasnah after betraying her by stealing what she assumed to be the most valuable object Jasnah owned. Why would she worry about confronting other people? Basic training involves teaching people to be paranoid.
-
That is because she grows. At the end of WoK, Shallan confronts Jasnah in pretty much the most stressful circumstances possible. Then at the beginning of WoR, she grows more through her talks with Jasnah, and then Tyn brings out her quippy side and trains her in basic espionage. I might be wrong, but I don't believe Shallan ever outplayed any ghostbloods through experience, she just "brute-forced" her way with lightweaving, when the ghostbloods didn't even know she had lightweaving. She didn't need experience to spy on them because of her magic powers, but magic powers don't replace experience.

Well, I've started a steel soul run. I've gotten past hornet in greenpath, and am on my way to fungal wastes next. Also why did I save Zote? Why? I should have left him. I don't want to fight grey prince zote. -
According to my dad it is . I think that driving is good once you get a license, because you can go wherever you want to. (Assuming you have a car to drive in. And gas to put in said car.)

My personal favorite twinborn combo is A-pewter and F-gold. I can store extra healing from pewter, and I can use pewter to illegally win marathons! (I bet their drug tests don't cover pewter!)

A look back at Vyre's Knife after chapter 14
NameIess replied to Honorless's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Black holes, disintegrators, doomsday machines. In all honesty, I expect that Nightblood is going to be very much an anomaly. If we do have to terminologize it, I'm going with fourth class invested weapon, with Honorblades in class three, basic Shardblades in class two, and sand mastrell's sand in class one.
