  1. "I am the Dreamsmith." The Dreamsmith took a hammer from the wall, along with a tiny nugget of metal, and got to work. As he worked, the Dreamsmith spoke. "Every weapon needs three things: A form, a power, and a name. I know you're likely most concerned with the power, but a weapon cannot be truly powerful without a name or a form." Everyone felt their soul shift, and liquid shadows appeared on the Dreamsmiths anvil. "You have come to me seeking great power. So I will make you a sword." As the Dreamsmith spoke, the shadows on his anvil twisted, a jagged blade beginning to form. "You want the power to destroy anything in your path, so I shall give this blade the ability to wield your full might, concentrated for that sole purpose. Truly, it will be unmatched in battle." The shadows were almost gone now, the form of the blade just barely obscured. "And lastly, the name. This Blade shall be called Inversion, for the effect it will have." The shadows were sucked into the blade, revealing a sword with a jagged edge, emitting an inverted-darkness aura. Everyone's sense of empathy faded as the Dreamsmith picked the blade up and handed it to them. "Is it to your liking?" From the darkness came a sound not unlike the gears of a clock.
  2. Subversion laughed. "No, we're not on even footing. I'm going to enjoy seeing that confidence drain away." Subversion started glowing with the same light that her Narrationblade usually gave off. The glow concentrated around her hand, as Subversion attempted to press Narration into it. The light dispersed, the sphere refusing to accept the energy. "Odd, I thought that would work."
  3. “It’s not that dangerous. As long as there aren’t any nightmares around at least.”
  4. “You should stay here. The World of Dreams is dangerous.”
  5. "Isn't it extremely difficult to affect real things there? You'll need my help." "Alright." Nameless waved a hand absently, making a gateway into the World of Dreams. "Me and Rue will go try to fix it."
  6. Sequence was safe from the pineapples, but everyone else was not so lucky.
  7. "Good, glad you did that. If this thing couldn't undo oaths... that would be very bad." Nameless looked closely at the Oath Rod. "Perhaps we could take this to the world of dreams? Might be able to split it into two there, or something like that."
  8. "Just making sure." The Dreamsmith picked up the orb Everyone had given him and put it on a shelf that ran along the edge of the room. "Before I can begin, you must answer me one simple question: Who are you?" Omen stood just outside the door, behind Sequence. "That is why it will be difficult." He closed the door, and all was darkness.
  9. "Its material was dictated by the weaves placed onto it. If we remove your magic, it should revert." Nameless frowned, a thought occurring to him. "By the way, what exactly did you make your Oath Rod able to do?"
  10. "So all we have to do to fix the Oath Rod is remove your magic. In theory at least."
  11. "That would've ended my oaths. The weaves are still in the Oath Rod, they're just... blocked somewhat by your magic."
  12. “Then you couldn’t have changed the weaves that make the Oath Rod function.” nameless pressed the Oath Rod against the wall.
  13. Nameless frowned. “Maybe we could fix it. TAAron, you’ve said your magic doesn’t interact with other magics, right?” @The Aspiring Archivist
  14. “Well what powers it then? What provides the link between the user and the Oath Rod?”
  15. “It doesn’t work at all, at least not how it is supposed to. It rejected the thread of spirit I tried to channel into it.”
  16. Nameless grabbed the Oath Rod. “I swear to never say the word ‘purple’ again.” He opened his mouth “purple. Well, looks like it doesn’t work.”
  17. "I TRIED to stop you. Why did you think the Aes Sedai tried so hard to stop us? They don't lock down just any ter'angreal like they do the Oath Rod." Nameless glared at her. "No, I'm not going to let this go. This is your fault too. Our oaths holding doesn't necessarily mean that the Oath Rod still functions, only that whatever TAAron did to it hasn't removed all the oaths it's been used to swear. Which is something at least, but hardly makes it better."
  18. “EVERY SINGLE AES SEDAI SINCE THE DAYS OF ARTUR HAWKWING HAS USED THAT THING TO SWEAR THE THREE OATHS! IT’S ONE OF THE MOST VALUABLE TER’ANGEAL IN THE WORLD!”
  19. Nameless nodded. I understand. “WHAT IN DAMNATION WERE YOU THINKING? DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW BLOODY FLAMING IMPORTANT THE OATH ROD IS?”
  20. “I used it. It worked. That’s why we wanted it in the first place.” Nameless sighed. “TAAron, could I talk to you privately for a moment?” @The Aspiring Archivist Rue, I’m not insane in a way that’s dangerous to people around me, and I’m not getting worse. And before you ask how I know that, I’ll point out that we’re standing in an insanity clinic. @Edema Rue
  21. "Fine. You're holding the Oath Rod. I said I wouldn't stop you. go ahead."
  22. "TAAron, we don't know this will work. You could just pretend to try, say it worked, and we'd be none the wiser."
  23. "They bind your soul. That has consequences."
