Rate the Signature Above You!!
Honorless replied to Silverblade5's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I thought so? I'll go check and edit. I'm on mobile now so I can't see your signature now... Update: nope! People have commented and rated multiple times -
Unsafe methods? Low chance of success? The knowledge of how to is kept secret by the few? On top of all that, the knowledge might be lost after the Evil attacked the Homeland.

Rate the Signature Above You!!

Thanks @AonEne . You already know your signature was the first I saw on the forum so... Oh, we're only supposed to do this once, oops! Ignore me, next commentator! -
Good to have an official introduction, @Aragorn! I hope you're feeling welcome in the Shard

Guess That Cosmere Character! Forum Edition!
Honorless replied to Kidpen's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
If my grammar is so egregious as to be offensive, please feel free to quote such instances and tag me to ask me to correct them. People make mistakes. Even Calderis' grammar or spelling are not perfect. The same goes for many, many others (even in Topic titles) And must importantly, Sanderson is an international author. Not everyone is a native English speaker. Pointing that out was not at all nice of you and I'm very hurt and disappointed. If you took offence at my disagreeing to Ene, then feel free to tell me off, within reason, by voicing your objections and listening to my arguments as well.@AonEne, I don't believe I gave offence but if I did, I do apologize. Being this nitpicky means honoring the letter of the rules rather than the intent. The idea of being conscious of one's grammar is to make themselves understandable, not for flaunting linguistic prowess. And as @PrinceGenocide said, if I did made a mistake, it was probably because I was excited. I'll try to curb such enthusiasm in the future. -
Traveller, Your moniker becomes you. With my access to Fortune (long story), I can tell that this letter will take a long time to reach you, as you flit from world to world. As for the matter of our mutual friend, I'm afraid we had simply overlooked his... genocidal tendencies due to the high stakes situations we were in. As for those of you who find this letter in their hands but who this letter is not addressed to, know that I live and I prosper. From the moment I awoke by Roshar's subastral, I have been a survivor. I have been a skaa and a darkeyes, a spearman and a Bridgeman. Yes, I survived the plantations and the Shattered Plains. I have been a noble and an ardent, a grand and an Idrian monk, I have lead thieving crews and played an Obligator, I have lived among the Shades as a Forescout and hunted Mistborn as a Hazekiller and beheld the awesome majesty of Roshar as a Thaylen merchant. Playing politics under a dozen (spiked) eyes may be a bit stressful, but I'll come out of it stronger. And with knowledge of another forbidden art. I hope Sel is treating you well, I have made some arrangements and might yet meet you in the Rose Empire. The One Without Honor

Celestial Bodies in the Cognitive Realm
Honorless replied to not an Evil Librarian's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Well, she does mention the sun of the Selish system as well as its first planet Donne... The ancient Elsecallers and Willshapers were Worldhoppers, they were the ones who mapped Shadesmar and named the Expanses, it's quite possible that they were aware of the gas giants and that might have influenced their manifestation in the Cognitive There are ten gas giants in the Rosharan system, that's not normal, especially considering that 10 is also an important number for the entire system, barring Braize -
That looks really cool!

Growing up, his room was filled with books and posters of the planets and moons. He loved the conspiracy theories, UFO sightings, the little green men. He still found the news report about the flying saucer a little bit too hard to believe, however and so was taken completely aback when the light beam shone down on him as he just stood there and gaped at it. He opened his eyes in a stark grey room with large steel panelled windows through which he could see Earth. From space. Slowly getting smaller. He screamed. Wait a minute, that’s not right, where’s the moon? Where were all the continents? Then he realized that wasn’t Earth, that was Neptune

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
Honorless replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted! Insomnia is yours! Just kidding, you won't fall asleep tomorrow, but the day after tomorrow before the sun sets, you shall prick your finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and fall into a deep slumber like death. And in this sleep, you will experience perpetual nightmares. But there is a way out: true love's kiss may release you from this curse... by killing you, for your body shall lie in an indestructible glass coffin from which only your true love may release you and in doing so, also release you from your mortal coil! i wish for the ability to grant superpowers -

Granted, everytime you try to play the cello, a crack would open up on the earth spewing cello players, each of such skill that all who listen to their music weep at its beauty and kill themselves when it ends, but for your own protection, you are immune as you are now deaf I wish to become a master of Kung Fu! -

That's a pretty good guess! (Also I had already started speculating here and had to backspace it out... must... resist) But no, it isn't that either
-
I think that's more of an active Endowment thing than a mechanism And that the Returned are returned via a Divine Breath which are her Splinters I don't think that the Cognitive Anomaly has anything to do with the Returned, otherwise shouldn't the Returned only be able to Return during a specific astronomical event (that of Nalthis and the Anomaly phasing through, maybe?)

Nope to Taln's Scar, also nope to the Homeland

I'm looking forward to the Horneater Peaks expedition, with both Moelach and Cultivation's Perpendicularity there. I do hope the other Bridgemen get bigger PoVs moving forwards. I really want to see Venli and Moash take centre stage. This story has been too dominated by the human faction, we need more than glimpses of the other side. Hopefully Rlain gets his own PoVs too. Would we meet one of the other Bondsmiths here (if we haven't met them already). There are supposed to be important characters we haven't met yet. Brandon did mention book 5 as a possible Bondsmith book and book 3 as a possible Skybreaker book before deciding on Oathbringer.

poll Raoden, Sarene or Hrathen?
Honorless replied to Honorless's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
Some found Raoden's quest for the truth about Elantris more interesting, some found Sarene navigating the politics of Arelon more interesting, some found Hrathen's character conflict interesting. Some found Raoden too perfect or found Sarene annoying and at one point petty, others found Hrathen's religious extremism discomforting (still better than Ais!) I'm really curious about the results -
Nope, and both South Scadrial and Yolen are inhabited Next clue: we have been given a glimpse of this place
