  1. We don't know Nightblood's full capabilities, Brandon seems to be hinting that Nightblood gets more powerful as he keeps getting more Investiture, I guess we'll see. As I said earlier, thrice, Shards have Intents. If Nightblood somehow managed to eat a Shard, he won't be a just a Type IV Awakened Object anymore.
  2. What do you mean? Jesker and Jeskeri Mysteries were completely different faiths
  3. They are ethnically and culturally distinct. Both Teod and Arelon house a majority of Shu Korath populace however in the case of the Dula, they were also religiously distinct from the Arelish and did not use Aons in their names.
  4. Then the nation of Teod raises some questions. Why don't they have their own manifestation of Investiture? They were distinct from the Arelish for a long time. Why doesn't Duladel? Also, what's west of Arelon?
  5. My business and recuperation on Sel is quite finished now. On my way back to Roshar I got my hands on a Soulcaster. Fortunate, that. It can use a large variety of Essences too: smokestone, ruby, garnet, zircon and amethyst. Ah well, @PrinceGenocide, do enjoy the... sculpture I left for your pleasure. Give my regards to your fellow Arbiters Gaotona and Frava As for names, how about Anansi? The One Without Honour
  6. Again, anything that comes close to holding that much Investiture, all of which is keyed to some Shard would likely become something else. Also Nightblood can't do all of those things. There is only one of him and he would destroy the structure or the key, the AonDor or the metals long before he gets to the source and then killing his bearer by absorbing their spark of life. A Perpendicularity was more than enough by magnitudes to satiate him.
  7. Granted! All you have to do is a little embarrassing dance! I wish to meet fictional characters of my choice
  8. Nope! 1) This place is considered unsavoury 2) This place is known for a high degree of lawlessness 3) This place is, at least nominally, under an authority (it is not unclaimed land)
  9. Hello, @Oceanic Technocracy! Welcome to the Shard! Oops, looks like you multi-posted. It's easily resolved though. Just go to the top of the page on those other posts, you'll find a button marked Moderation Actions, click that then select Hide from the drop-down and give a reason like "accidentally posted the same thing multiple times" and voilà ! You're good to go!
  10. I'm pretty sure Nightblood will Ascend or go through some other similar transformation before he could consume multiple Shards Besides Investiture cannot be destroyed.
  11. The effects of Tanavastium, Raysium, Bavadinium, Edglium... interesting. I think you'd need to alloy the godmetal with Lerasium to be able to access their Investiture
  12. *stabbing sound* Nope
  13. You forget I'm a Forger! There, the Soulstamps to alter the shape of my eyes are ready! Take that! The One Without Honour
  14. That's true. The treatment of skaa was far worse than the treatment of Darkeyes. I suppose it's the general theme and ambiance that sets Final Empire era Scadrial as grimdark and Roshar as medieval and Nalthis as... somewhat sinister, colourful with hidden undertones
  15. uh... to note, I actually do have slanted eyes
  16. The next person to comment is Moash
  17. Warbreaker wasn't dark, Nalthis was. The system of BioChromatic Breath means there's systematic exploitation of the poor in order to gather Breaths. We saw examples of how giving up Breath felt, it is something intrinsic to people that they were born with. On top of that the Returned, even in the country where they are treated the best: as gods, they are expected to die again in order to heal someone. It's a constant guilt-trip till that decision. Elsewhere they are prejudiced against, exploited for use of their Divine Breath, die within a week. If they want to survive beyond a week? Breath. The setting of Nalthis, though colourful is very, very dark Please watch out for typos "I tje" and state the full form "SSC" of your abbreviation for the first instance so people know what it stands for. I admit that these are possibilities within the setting, my point is that it seems narratively unlikely. I think @aneonfoxtribute was referring to the God King's lineage
  18. Adonalsium's Investiture permeates the entire Cosmere. His Investiture Systems were also present throughout the Cosmere, which is what the Shards end up fueling and influencing towards their Intent. As for how Adonalsium's presence on Yolen would've affected the planet, we don't yet know
  19. Nice One for Forton's potion: "Stirring trouble" maybe?
  20. Ooh! Rereading WoR? but nope!
  21. Agreed, it seems like a narrative improbability There's also the Terris Breeders in the original Mistborn trilogy
