I started with that book too. It was sitting on my recommended list for a long time alongside Garth Nix and such. One day I picked it up and decided I loved it

Guessing Stormlight Book 5 title
Honorless replied to KandraAllomancer's topic in Stormlight Archive
Thanks! King of Ways . Yeah, in-world books, hmm... presumably written by Shin. How about Know of Wonders? A book written in an ancient Ashynite language describing their wonder at, as Khriss herself described it, the grandness of the world of Roshar -
Big fan of Brandon but just found Shardcast and the 17th Shard

You will love Emperor's Soul, I guarantee it -
Well they hadn't encountered human civilization since separating from the Last Legion so they probably either found them in the ruins of Narak or collected them over the course of the conflict on the Shattered Plains

A pair of shorts for a pair of pants, a fair deal, I see Then for your magic book, I can give you a magazine, here, of... questionable repute

Hello, @Samael Morningstar! Welcome to the 17th Shard! Which books have you read so far?

Possible, but unlikely. The Jesker faith was stated to be older and had Realmatic knowledge, they knew of the Dor. Jeskeri Mysteries spread out a lot, so maybe there was a reason for its rapid spread, but that too becomes a possible hurdle against it as Selish magics are region locked, getting weaker the further away from the homeland they get. But it's not impossible and would be an interesting card to play.

So, a lot of Investiture systems allow one to use bones. How would these magics overlap? I assume a Kandra can probably still use a lifeless body but what about Kalad's Phantoms? Of course they wouldn't be able to recreate the features from a skeleton but can the statues be used in a similar manner as a True Body despite the fact that they don't have actual joints and were probably only capable of movement via Awakening? How would a Kandra interact with Dakhor bones? or the bones of a Skeletal of a Bloodsealer if they tried to swallow it while it was still under a Dzhamarian's control? What would a Dzhamarian be able to accomplish with a Dakhor monk's bones? The Investiture overlap and the region lock of Selish magics would make it very difficult to work

Guessing Stormlight Book 5 title
Honorless replied to KandraAllomancer's topic in Stormlight Archive
King of Wisdom, after Nohadon? Book 5 was originally a possible Bondsmith book and Book 3 for Skybreaker but they both have their cool moments in either books as per Brandon. Kindred of Wind (Skybreakers are close to Windrunners) Killing of Worlds (Ashyn past or attack on Braize) Knot of Woes (the Oathpact) Kneel and Key are two 'K' words that might be used, and Water a 'w' word that is similarly plausible in the title.- 134 replies

I would say that the Shardblade godmetal is most similar to Atium. I mean, for the Radiant spren which are closer to Cultivation, the system of Surgebinding is of Honor though, like Allomancy is of Preservation yet still capable of using the godmetal of Ruin (with funkiness involved) and in Surgebinding's case, using spren closer to Cultivation for Honor's system.

Is there a way other than Hemalurgy to become a Ferachemist .
Honorless replied to SzethIsBadAsHell's topic in Mistborn
Check the time stamps. The questioners probably had the same idea and so posed these to Brandon. -
Jesker was still practiced till the unrest that Hrathen organized. The Dula probably did try to stamp out the Jeskeri Mysteries and it did outlive its parent religion Edit: What of the Mulla'dil or Strikers? Are the Teullu martial arts also a manifestation of Investiture? After all ChayShan is an example that it is possible. The Grands might be drawing on Investiture of some form for their long lifespan There should be more to Seon bonds. Would a Skaze even agree to a bond, they are literally Splinters of Dominion? Could these bonds be connected to the manifestation of Investiture in some of these seemingly sterile nations of Sel like Teod?

All that is conjecture then, while as I pointed out, their reputation already fits their capabilities The Midnight Essence, all spren being potential spies, collapse of cities are all worthy deeds to be associated with the Unmade, in my opinion. Vasher might turn out to not be a great example of a Cognitive Shadow in the context of them being unable to leave their world. Yes, the Returned are basically this stapled onto their bodies via Divine Breath but that BioChroma is designed to be able to be give-able, keying to new identity when Breath is given. I think it would make sense if the Returned turn out to be not so bound to Nalthis as other Cognitive entities. We do have a sequence of Shalash and Taln remembering their... stay on Braize. They remember physical torture. So the Heralds do have bodies on Braize. You don't find spies scary? The idea that all of your strategies and counters are being passed on to the enemy? that the enemy knows all your moves in advance? That the enemy knows key structures of your side? Check out World War spies and what they accomplished or how feared they were. Trust me, spies are scary.
