You had laughed when you had seen it first up the first time, few who would've gotten the reference were still alive. You open 17th Shard and reread 'the Last Topic'. Your face clouds up as you see the countdown, only a minute left now. You go online to quickly see if anyone you knew were online, they weren't. Only the "newer" members were, saying their goodbyes. You go to your friends' profiles, no one had logged in for years. You go to Forum Games and Random Stuff and open this thread. "I win", you type and hit Submit Reply. A few seconds pass. The Topic gets locked down, a notification comes, you click it. It thanks everyone in the community... you can't read it. You put your phone down. You had won. Your shoulders start shaking.

Yup, it's not necessary to ingest a metal to burn it, it just has to be inside the body As for what happens if someone tries to burn a Hemalurgic spike though, well, it's not a good idea. It's not easy as you're trying to burn someone else's inherent Investiture (even though it is now grafted to your Spiritweb) You can also use Hemalurgic spikes as Feruchemical metalminds

Yeah, it fits narratively plus they are somewhat contrasting. Windrunners are about putting others before oneself, Yelig-Nar seems opposite to that: your own will instead of your convictions and a greed for self-empowerment

We'll see more of Yelig-Nar and the mechanics of what exactly he does. So far we know that 1) he grants access to all 10 Surges 2) you have to swallow a gemstone 3) your willpower has to be strong or you will be consumed by him 4) violet crystals form from his host, which seems to be the colour of Voidlight I'm going tentatively with Windrunners for now...
