Scadrial and Roshar are confirmed normal spherical planets within their respective series. The rest like Sel, Nalthis, etc also got confirmed as spherical via the Arcanum Unbounded. The Cosmere has some strange astronomical phenomenon but no space whales (or elephants or turtles), no flatearths. If such things exist in the Cosmere, we haven't seen them yet.

Odium can control its speed and intensity to a large degree, even manipulate where the lightning generated by it strikes (the Everstorm struck Taln's temple the hardest in Thaylen City). Do note that we don't know yet whether the Everstorm has a spren, like the Highstorm has the Stormfather

The Aonic language itself incorporates the Aons and built its vocabulary around it but its vowels and combos do not resemble the base Aon sounds. Meaning the Aons were probably added afterwards. Which means either the Aons pronunciations were inherent to the Aons or the original Elantrians left behind a knowledge base Look at that line again "Curiously, the Aons produce sounds otherwise unused in the general languages of the area" first of all why would Khriss search for mystical sounds in Arelon? Aon sounds, the pronunciations, do not exist in other languages in the area. It's from a different language tree finding what each one did, and associating its meaning and sound with its effect", this line directly stated that she's talking about sounds in the context of spoken language

Since Aons are the script, she's asking about the spoken version: how certain sounds came to be associated with certain Aons, or if the sounds were somehow as inherent to them as their shape. Plus, we see several Aons being drawn in the book, drawing Aons does not produce sound

Creating Aons is a soundless process, some offensive Aons might create vibrations as they're charging up or fired

There is Aon Ate which means silence, it seems to make an area completely soundless

Hi! So, which one's your favourite, @ToaCalune?

The Desert Spear and other following sequels to the Painted Man. Book 1 started out very strong, with the fear and callous disregard of the world stoking the main character, Arlen's anger in a very relatable way, another main character is introduced here, Rojer, in a very visually stunning sequence. I actually recommend reading the first book. Book 2 is not badly written, it's a kind of villain's perspective that's really unpalatable. I skipped to book 3 and the whole thing turned out to be a disaster. There are demons, and studs who fight them and there are some "strong female characters". The sexism in these books don't just exist in the world that it creates. It gets really bad after a while.
