  1. Welcome aboard! Are you a math whizz? If so, up to how many decimal numbers do you remember the value of π?
  2. Kaladin without a doubt Have you taken the official Knights Radiant quiz? What Order did you get?
  3. Welcome, welcome Do you have a favourite character?
  4. So I asked someone else & found the section, plus remembered another section & got them to search for it as well The first part I mentioned in my previous post is said by Ivory too. Syl also makes some remarks in regards to Cryptics that seems to corroborate this. Plus, after Kaladin, Azure, Shallan & Adolin escape Kholinar into the Shadesmar, they are chased by Angerspren drawn by Kaladin, who feels like they're abandoning Kholinar & the people the group had brought with them on their mission, but he's feeling that way to try to stave off his depression. If you use an e-book, search for the keyword "drool". Syl mentions directly that they are dangerous "even to spren". Pattern implies that humans are much more emotionally volatile than spren, which is why it's a much bigger problem for them when they're in Shadesmar. Sapient spren can attract lesser spren, they're just not very good at it.
  5. Looking at the wording of this WoB: Hmm... it might be possible
  6. Actually wait, I don't think that was the Honorspren... maybe the Cultivationspren? Or the Reachers? I do remember the quote though, hopefully accurate enough that someone with an e-book can do a word search. "Speak one untrue word at a [gathering of some kind] and seven [gather or similar word] around you." I do remember that they used the number "seven". They also mention the Cryptics "humming" and iirc, the spren also hoped that they (the Cryptics) get better with a Bond. This was from Ivory in the unpublished scene involving Jasnah (https://www.tor.com/2014/08/06/stormlight-archive-scene-after-words-of-radiance/). Ivory says that Painspren are dangerous on their side, and are called "Grinders".
  7. Heck yes!!! Koloss are humans too! Help them establish their own settlements, provide employment to them and ban the term "kig" for the Koloss-blooded!
  8. Wait... the person or the wolf? Or my previous profile pic? Also what was I wearing, do you remember? Strangely enough, I've never had a Cosmere dream/nightmare. It's weird because I usually do have dreams about stuff that I read, watch, also for some reason places I visited recently no matter how briefly, but nevermind that. I'll take it as a divine sign that I need to reread Cosmere even more.
  9. Same, so I've went (and convinced sadly only one other person) to help me in my part-time quest of finding old posts that still have a negative amount of reputation and bringing them to at least a neutral. This one is controversial, but said member literally left after posting this, so overwhelmingly negative were the responses that they got. That is not okay! I'm also appalled that a staff member of any capacity lead a downvoting charge for any reason.
  10. Hey, so sometimes you post a theory and I comment on it, seemingly trying to dismantle it or saying I like it but then pointing out its faults. I understand how it might look and why you might find it annoying but please remember that just because I'm commenting on it and not simply saying that I agree with it doesn't have to mean that I'm opposing the theory. Just because I'm against it doesn't mean I'm trying to dismantle it. And absolutely none of them mean I'm trying to attack you personally. I will likely be putting your theory through the ringer but that doesn't mean I'm opposing it, otherwise I wouldn't also be providing corroborating evidences & support or put in my own observations to try to fill in the gaps, which you'll notice I often do. Most often, I'm just musing on the theories posted, commenting both on its strengths & weaknesses. If I'm commenting that's most likely because I'm enjoying thinking on your theory! We're all just trying to have some fun talking about the things we like here. Don't take it so seriously! I also often point out typos, which I understand can be annoying but they just kinda bug me! But okay, okay I'll stop. But I would prefer it if you spell things correctly in the Title Posts. I'm not talking about normal English words, we're not all native English speakers, mistakes happen, it's fine. I'm talking about the fantasy terms, I know this seems really weird, but the thing is that if you use a misspelling in the title, that just makes it harder to find your topic in the future unless I remember exactly how you spelled it. That being said, I won't bug you about it.
  11. Hmm, the first post is in fact the last post, and the "last post" is in fact the latest post We've been had
  12. Instead of an Eshonai chapter it links to a Lirin chapter
  13. Spren are Splinters, and we do see Splinters on other Shardworlds. Seons and Skaze are the most spren-like (canonical) entities that we've seen so far. But the spren of Roshar aren't just Splinters, they're Cognitive manifestations of ideas¹, this is by Adonalsium's design² and might have something to do with Roshar's Cognitive Realm being a nexus hub³. 1: https://wob.coppermind.net/adv_search/?query=spren%2BPlatonic 2: https://wob.coppermind.net/adv_search/?query=Adonalsium%2BRoshar 3: https://wob.coppermind.net/adv_search/?query=Roshar%2Bnexus&date_from=1998-04-10&date_to=2020-06-27&speaker=&ordering=rank
  14. Yes, the honorspren mention that Cryptics are attracted to lies spoken by other sapient spren. It is also mentioned that though emotion spren prefer human emotions & congregate in & around populated areas, they can also be attracted by spren emotions.
  15. Lift's eyes are described as pale, clear, and like glass in text
  16. You can Soulcast water. We've seen Adhesion being used to part a stormfront. Tension & Abrasion can possibly be used to walk on water.

This is great! The part about rockbuds felt random, but it's still awsome!

  18. Welcome to the Shard! What about your least favourites then?
  19. A group? A gang? A gaggle? A bunch? A clan? A pack- wait no, we're lone wolves, hmmm... How about a parliament of Truthwatchers? Or a congregation? Those sound nice
  20. I would say that it was Spiritual Tension which enabled Dalinar to sense the stones' Identity & desire to join together into one whole and Spiritual Adhesion to join the fractured pieces together. In Nightwatcher's case, as you've predicted it, potential joining would still be Spiritual Tension, I think.
  21. Vorinism might also simply have been modelled after the Knights Radiant. The division of Orders inspiring the division of labour by choosing one's Calling
  22. We don't know why the Cognitive Realm appears different on each Shardworld Some things seem to be common across all the subastrals like the small, cold sun & solid-liquid inversion. There is a pattern in how the Cognitive manifests itself, it seems to correspond to the planet's Investiture distribution in some manner, spheres which contain gems that can store Stormlight and the Mists. Nalthis' subastral is called the Expanse of Vibrance which leads me to believe it's very colourful, which would fit with the previously established pattern. Kelsier could walk around because he was a ghost, a Cognitive Shadow, Hoid on the other hand, had to use a "boat" (another ghost) while Khriss & Nazh took advantage of the solid-liquid inversion, their camp was on a lake.
  23. I gotcha covered, fam
  24. We created multiple topics discussing this! Over on Reddit too, as well as Discord I'm a fellow Truthwatcher too
