  1. @Myurnix, I think the simplest way would be asking questions regarding what you didn't get. There's an entire forum dedicated to it! (Cosmere Q&A). You can also just look stuff up on the Coppermind or read random articles on it, really (it actually does have a go to random page button)
  2. I like it! But there's a few issues with this theory. Sja-Anat also managed to Corrupt, or "Enlighten", as she prefers to call it, the Oathgate spren. She said it was the first time she had managed to do Corrupt spren of that magnitude. Perhaps the coming of the Everstorm empowered her. There's also this from the Urithiru gem archive: So, assuming Renarin's futuresight comes from Voidbinding, there was a Voidbinder in Urithiru during the False Desolation. This second one though could also be seen to support your theory. That Sja-Anat was testing it out, that she was spying on them. What followed the False Desolation was the Recreance.
  3. Welcome to the Shard! I'll pass on the interrogating the newbie since others seem to have it covered Hope to see you around on the forums!
  4. The Coppermind is the best resource for these kinds of queries https://coppermind.net/wiki/Feruchemy#:~:text=Unsealed Metalminds
  5. Hmm, maybe that's simply the current situation. Braize is the current location of Odium after all, not Ashyn.
  6. Most of the meat available on Roshar are Soulcast meat, called flangria, which is said to taste bland. Some people have wondered if the bland taste comes from meat and tallow (which might include fat) being separate Essences. Rosharans find every kind of non-Soulcast, non seafood meat a delicacy. Shinovar's major exports are chickens after all (mostly actual chickens, presumably) and trading with Shinovar is considered by Vstim, Rysn's Babsk, to be quite profitable. Shinovar's own society ranks farmers quite highly, for mostly cultural reasons, but the economic reasons probably do help it along.
  7. @Solinarous, have you taken the official Knights Radiant quiz? What Order did you get?
  8. I'm not so sure that the text is so clear on that. I think the spren themselves discovered the the ability to bond with and grant Surges to mankind, and Ishar's imposed limitations could have been the Oaths, but there's this WoB: And it fits, because Surgebinding comes from Honor and Cultivation, oaths & growth, and that makes sense. I think Ishar just turned the Surgebinders into the Knights Radiant, as in the social structure, as Jasnah termed them. He might have done more, as Syl & The Stormfather's words regarding him make clear, but we're not currently capable of distinguishing his feats from the myths.
  9. Hey right backatcha! Welcome to the Shard, we're always glad to have more people to jabber at. Ooh, on behalf of the Shard, I accept that compliment We look forward to seeing you around on the forums as well!
  10. Happy Birthday!

  11. It's possible that Aon Shao could do this, but Raoden was not knowledgeable enough to be able to do that
  12. Hello! Welcome to the Shard! How did you discover Sanderson?
  13. Same, also Sadeas, Hashal and Matal the Bridgecrews managers, Dilaf the crazy priest, Ais the Trackt and Elhokar
  14. Welcome to the Shard! How much of the Cosmere have you read? Are you up-to-date?
  15. Me likey!

      Friendshipspren

Hmmm that is a nice theory. But idk man , if it's possible then why have thier not been such superradiants in the past ???

Although I guess they weren't so desperate then. And syl is different ,less uptight than other honorspren.

Hmmm talking about lift , I wonder if that's part of cultivations plan. Like lift will die and pass on wyndle to kal along with whatever abilities she has in her sDNA.

I don't think the Old Magic works that way. Something like this would take Hemalurgy

    3. Friendshipspren

      Friendshipspren

Idk man , wyndle is like spiritually bonded to her. They share sDNA maybe if she dies wyndle will inherit the extra bits and pass it on the next radiant to bond with him.

  16. No, no I meant I was just not expecting the storming Dawnshards to be the focus of the novella
  17. I was expecting a little bit of Aimia...
  18. All of it! From prehistoric to classical. Oh wait, not all of it. I don't like modern history as much as the older stuff. Still interesting though! Also the Renaissance. All the rest of it I can read through for hours.
  19. "with Rosharan spren" I think they were asking specifically whether the Nahel Bond existed before the Desolations. Hmm... but yeah, the Ashynites did have access to the Surges somehow, but they might not have been exactly the same.
  20. No, not the First Desolation. The first appearance of Surgebinders is mentioned in-text to have come after the Heralds, who made them organize themselves into the Knights Radiant.
  21. Yeah, all of these WoBs seem to confirm: https://wob.coppermind.net/adv_search/?query=Vasher%2BStormlight I have to have read them all quite a few times, I think I got turned around by the Breath & Awakening (does having Breaths automatically give you access to Awakening or just the Heightenings), and Nightblood discussions on the Shard .
  22. Happy Birthday, mate!

Oh thank you! Sorry for the late reply been camping. Thanks.

  23. Yeah, Vasher most likely converts Stormlight. Nightblood, on the other hand, does not discriminate. He consumes all Investiture equally.
  24. That's a really good question actually and this is the right forum to ask this in. Now that the knowledge of Hemalurgy is out amongst a few (and a few who had the knowledge from elsewhere), it'll be interesting to see what they do with it. I... wouldn't be able to keep something like this to myself. I'll tell a few trusted friends.
