I mean as far as fantasy names go, Wheel of Time is still the best but Brandon's naming sense is still pretty great The neatest concept is simply having all of the neat concepts I wanted in the same package. Watching a fantasy setting become modern will be frickin cool! When I was first told about the Platonic Ideals, I was like "this would be so cool in a fantasy setting" et voilà ! The hard magic systems, of course, it's what Brandon is best known for, and the interconnected storytelling itself, it's fun to be able to theorize so much!

Hoid is like the OG Worldhopper, he's very old, and has many tricks. We'll know more about him as we go along. He'll be a main character much, much later on in the series.

He died at the end of Words of Radiance. The Herald Nale used a fabrial device to bind his soul back to his body but he was almost too late. His soul isn't perfectly attached to his body any more, it's not in sync, and anyone who can see into the Cognitive or is otherwise sufficiently Invested can see that as an afterimage effect trailing Szeth's physical body.

There are two races who lived in Aimia: Dysian (we meet one in Edgedancer and in Kaza's interlude) & Siah (Axies the Collector, we meet him in Way of Kings, see him again in Rysn's interlude in Words of Radiance)
