  1. Let me preface this by saying I’m sure this thought has holes and y’all will immediately tell me what those are , but on the topic of The Sibling being dead/slumbering: What if it is the result of a broken bond similar to the shardblades? We see hints that Adolin might resurrect his spren/sword in OB. What if he figures that out and it somehow gives them the insight they need to restore The Sibling (and hopefully the rest of the spren) as well?
  2. This will not be the most insightful comment in this thread but I missed the "and his friends" when I read this the first time. I was confused and mildly impressed that Dalinar had made off with enough wine by himself to cause a shortage From what I gathered reading comments most of what we see from Navani's perspective isn't new information, but as someone who has only dipped his toe into the deep end of Sanderson lore it was an exciting open. I love how Brandon has told the story of that night from so many different perspectives now, and how each one gives a better understanding just how momentous it was.
  3. I have nothing of substance to add here but this thread is awesome and I can’t believe I didn’t get into this forum years ago.
  4. Honestly Tom probably is Hoid...maybe drunk Hoid? Can Hoid even get drunk?
  5. When your wife responds with “well maybe you should have married Brandon” after you explain that the section of WoR she was confused about was not due to unclear writing as Brandon making mistakes is clearly impossible.
  6. This. The subtle unknown atrocities are always scarier than the obvious evil no matter how powerful that evil is IMO.
  7. Thanks all, appreciate the welcome! Yep, Stoneward here. Maybe not the most flashy, but it fits. Windrunner came in close second. Favorite short story is probably Emperor's Soul.
  8. Thanks mate! Those are hard questions....Favorite character is probably Dalinar...or Szeth...or Hoid...or , well you get the picture. Books: Fav = WoK, every time I re-read it I'm in awe of the world building and character development, and with each subsequent book that awe expands as I realize just how brilliantly it sets up the rest of the series. Least Fav = Sixth of the Dusk. Reason = darned short stories always leaving me wanting more.
  9. I have considered myself a huge Brandon Sanderson fan for years now. I've read almost everything he's written multiple times and am working through the last of what I haven't now. Of course as this is my first time on this forum I clearly haven't been as much of a fan as I thought! Can't wait to dig into all the Cosmere goodness around here, I've already been chuckling for an hour over the memes. Sanderson's fanbase is one of the best I've ever been in/around. Looking forward to getting to know some of you more and contributing what I can. Side note: I just found out my wife bought the WoK Leatherbound after insisting that I couldn't buy it myself...I'm beyond ecstatic! Second side note: If anyone has any suggestions for really good posts/threads (especially Cosmere related) here I'd appreciate the links, this place is almost as daunting to look at as a WoK the first time you pick it up.
