  1. Can't I kiss, marry and kill Amaram alone (in that order)? The first two parts require an explanation, yes, so here it is: he's good-looking & he's rich Also it's about time an actual kiss, marry, kill thread came to The Shard
  2. Happy Birthday!

  3. And she is also apparently partially in the Cognitive
  4. How did you discover Sanderson, @Chouta?
  5. Tbh I think separate threads would be better, a single megathread could be a bit hard to follow
  6. A week?! *starts praying please, please, please, please*
  7. Welcome to the Shard! If The Nightwatcher existed, would you go to her? (no need to mention your Boon if it's too embarrassing or personal!)
  8. Welcome to the Shard
  9. We don't really know all that much about her past, she's ethnically Reshi, lived in Rall Elorim in Iri, she went to see the Nightwatcher Check out her page on the Coppermind
  10. Is that on Earth or on Scadrial?
  11. Hoid's goals are mysterious. The Ire seem to be looking for power. 17th Shard are non-interventionists. The Ghostbloods are war profiteers. Khriss & Nazh, and others from Silverlight are knowledge seekers. Vasher was looking for a less costly way of living than Breaths. Vivenna was looking for Nightblood. Felt's goals & allegiances are varied. and so on...
  12. Stormfather is equated with divinity on Roshar, so Stormblessed just means something like blessed by the divine
  13. Brandon had originally said that there was no way to have more than one Allomantic power without being Mistborn or using Hemalurgy but since then has confirmed that Lerasium alloys can turn people into double Mistings
  14. I wonder if Preservation affected Ruin's own futuresight capabilities by creating Atium
  15. Could it be a historical figure instead? Just in case it isn't, all I feel relatively safe speculating on is that she might be the Sibling's Bondsmith rather than The Nightwatcher's: this book is supposed to focus more on Urithiru's secrets after all
  16. Here are the tables:
  17. Welcome to the Shard! Seconding reading Warbreaker and also the Arcanum Unbounded, they're awesome!
  18. Welcome to the Shard, @SheriffHeckTate! Definitely skip White Sand graphic novels vols 1&2 and read the prose instead. I'd still recommend reading vol 3 though, that one's actually pretty good! Comparably better than its corresponding part in its source material + there are some changes & an extra scene
  19. Aww, man, you'll get to time it & get your hands on Rhythm of War right after catching up, I'm so jealous Welcome to the Shard
  20. Yeah, I'm blaming my current medication (nothing too serious!)
  21. I've been here for what, 10 months now? That's already long enough that I'd create a deluge if I tried to create a list of thank yous here. I'd like to think I've let everyone know I'm thankful to them for their kindnesses & been mindful of expressing my gratitude right then, but there are some highlights, some I didn't get a chance to thank and some whose names only popped up in retrospect @PrinceGenocide, right backatcha! I'm not putting a whole sentence here, my speechcraft feels rusty all of a sudden and I think we've already jabbered bucketloads to each other @AonEne, the font of ready helpfulness, to me & so many others here, thank you! @The Traveller, you've been a grounding influence @The Awakened Salad, aw come back already @Bliev, I thanked you once but I don't think I really told you how close I came to losing it on that thread, I'm still surprised that words on a screen from someone I've never met could feel like that when I'd thought I'd already grown a tough skin against people who were far worse. Thank you for speaking when you did, when so many others went yikes & turned tail. You, @Koloss17, @Nuatoma, @Renarin Kholin, @The Dude That Wore White, @twenty second of the sun It's... instinctive to shy away from instances where things seem to blow up or treat it all as a free circus show when it's all happening online instead of coming forward to lend a hand, so thank you @Karger, I swear there was like a phantom sensation of people chewing popcorn whenever we clashed. Keep theorizing! @NattyBo, faith in humanity restored... @Wander89 & @Aragorn who welcomed me and many others to this site @Calderis, where have you been? Theorizing is so much more fun when you're facing the... uhm... boss monster To all those who thanked me, thank you too, you made my day!
  22. I have, fallen asleep, that is Oh so much has been lost on this thread... But here, I won't curse anyone with a loss, thou art spared
  23. Welcome back, Llstml!
