  1. 33- Ch 122: Why did Dalinar "accept the sword "only through the cloth"? What does it mean? He didn't want to make direct contact with the Blade so as to avoid the screaming of the dead spren. Thank you for answering any of these; I know they are too many to be all answered by one contributor I'll try to answer all of them, also great job on the note-taking!
  2. Gopnik Adolin! More Moash! Oh that's sad... I thought that was the Lifeless Squirrel at first before noticing the tail.
  3. Welcome to the Shard! Happy to have you join us!
  4. Welcome to the Shard!
  5. That line does sound a bit accusatory, our gods were not the ones responsible for this, now that we know that the Parshendi "gods" refers to the Fused, the human gods would refer to the Heralds. Perhaps Chana, she did have a temple in this city, though that is a rather flimsy connection to make in order to argue that she was the one responsible for its destruction, but the Surge of Division is a good candidate for wide-scale destruction.
  6. Nightblood is very highly Invested so affecting it by Investiture is going to be very, very, very difficult near impossible. On top of that it eats Investiture.
  7. We're glad to have more people to babble at!
  8. Welcome to the Shard!
  9. So true
  10. Because he came to know that the rest of the Heralds had abandoned the Oathpact, then the one to arrive bearing news of the approaching Desolation would be the Herald who was left behind.
  11. The Cognitive Realm is indeed affected by perception but that's not nearly enough to change its make-up for one (aquatic) person. Think of gravity, every object with mass produces gravity, but how much do you really affect the Earth? A Shardworld's Cognitive Realm is affected by its inhabitants' minds over millenia, a single traveller is simply not going to change its geography. Now, the Cognitive Realm of a Shardworld with an aquatic civilization on the other hand...
  12. Plenty of us, most of the mods & Arcanists are almost always active there, quite a few of the members are on there more often than here Agent34, asmodeus, Master Moridin,... some of them use different usernames/nicknames there though, and I keep losing track of them. But yeah, the Discord is better if you just want to chat or discuss stuff in an organic manner.
  13. Dan Humphrey? Mark Zuckerberg?? Severus Snape??? Moaning Myrtle!?! What is this?
  14. Mraize will not be happy if the Enlightened spren goes to Rlain instead, lol
  15. Not sure if it's a little thing but... splatter films, just why? Why are they so popular? Why force poor, sweet me to watch them with you? What possible morbid joy do you derive from watching people go splat If there's value in it, like films on war or terror, I understand, and yes, people should feel shock and mortality there but crem like Saw or Final Destination, just why? The joy of actual horror is also almost completely gone. Lay off the gore and watch The Host (2006, Korean) or The Endless (2017), now those are some bloody good flicks. Wow, I sound like an old person
  16. I actually forgot what they were called, aye fabrial circuitry! I have to say that wasn't a philosophical dilemma I was expecting with Cognitive Shadows at all (aside from Shades, now that I think about it) only with Ashravan Brandon did get colourful with Wayne and there was... uhm "Nale's nuts" quite recently
