  1. Do we have evidence for this claim? It wouldn't seem to be very inaccessible if Gavilar, Dalinar, and as you claim Melishi all had it.
  2. Oops, yep! Fixed, thanks.
  3. Heh, yeah, always a bit fun when one of those ends up being relevant (Then there's people like Argent with literal hundreds of WoBs, relevant to most any situation )
  4. Another relevant WoB:
  5. Brandon's confirmed he died. He says that if she had gotten there immediately, she probably would have been able to. I had interpreted the last part about not enough power to mean not enough Light, but I could definitely be wrong.
  6. Lift brings back Gawx in Words of Radiance, and Wyndle believes in Edgedancer that if she had been there immediately she might even have been able to heal the girl Nale killed with his Shardblade. Probably just similar to how Soulcaster fabrials can only Soulcast certain Essences, the fabrials are just more limited in their application of the Surge and can only use a subset of its power?
  7. Spiritual Mumbo Jumbo: Seems to be: How does it not fit?
  8. Yeah, the visions are a sort of weird partly Spiritual, partly Cognitive thing. Most likely, it was just Rayse's Cognitive aspect, same as Ati or Leras in Secret History, I guess? Or, well, combination of Cognitive and Spiritual being displayed, idk. Something along those lines.
  9. Eh.... sort of. Prime is a very different story, even if there's some relation.
  10. That might just be a reuse of a name he liked, similar to "Kkoloss" from Mythwalker becoming the word "koloss", despite the two things being nothing alike, or (to take things moved from one unpublished work to another) the name "amberite" for a material being moved from Mythwalker to Aether, despite the two materials being different. (Mythwalker was cannibalized for a lot, lol.)
  11. Well, could also be that it could be this place Kaladin saw when riding the storm: That would probably be very shadowy. Of course, an Unmade could be possible too, and it would likely be close to where Mishram was captured, so she could very well be there. It seems a reasonable location to me. Just pointing out it's not necessarily the only reason it could be named that.
  12. Eshonai doesn't even have to say anything, and the different interpretations of the First Ideal are capable of being mutually exclusive. So I'd say the First Ideal is still pretty broad, and... honestly, I'm not even sure what it represents. The exact wording doesn't matter, nor is any wording required, an awareness of the bond isn't required, even a general shared idea isn't required...
  13. Interesting thought, though! It's definitely still sorta strange to me. Well, they're not actually in the Physical when that happens, the visions happen sort of stretched between the Spiritual and Cognitive Realms. So perhaps it was just Rayse's Cognitive/Spiritual aspect?
  14. Which is why the letter is confusing (emphasis mine):
  15. Well, you're assuming he knew where it was. The Horneaters have legends of it entering the pool, but that doesn't mean anyone besides the lanceryn and Sleepless had any clue of the location.
  16. The thing with it is, if Tanavast had a Dawnshard, why did he say they didn't have them?
  17. I think the one I settled on was "Interact", in no small part because it made a better acronym, lol.
  18. I've also shied away from the word Unite, for obvious reasons This time for the reason that, as of the current information we have, I think Dalinar having one would open too many holes. It's a possibility, but one I find unlikely at this moment in time.
  19. It's definitely something that I've thought about and has influenced my current thoughts on Dawnshards. I've shied away from using the word Connect, as imo, if it's a thing, it likely applies to more than just Connection, but it's an interesting possibility to me.
  20. I disagree. I'm of the opinion that the number is based on the planet and perception related to that, rather than the Shard. In this particular case, Rosharans believe in ten fundamental forces, while the Braizian residents, the Fused, only believe in nine. Ohhhhhhhhhhh. You know what, it could very well be that! They're certainly an esoteric set of abilities... Khriss never actually says this more esoteric set is based around any particular number, does she?
  21. I imagine Dawnshards are useful for lots of things, so doesn't surprise me, lol
  22. Hmm, interesting. When it finally comes out in a few years, I'll have to keep an eye out for that Main thing I can think of is maybe there's some really smart people uses of photon control that I don't know enough to recognize.
  23. Normal Breaths are apparently much easier to deal with in this regard, due to Endowment's nature, so it's possible that the two things you mention there, which are highly Invested with Endowment Investiture, might also be easier to deal with than they'd otherwise be.
  24. Oh for sure, some of them make the most sense if it's literally just the word "microkinesis" or something, lol. But then there's ones like this:
