  1. Honorblades, not even close, infinite power, portals, time dialation, Nukes, lasers, flight, disintigration etc. Yes Please. Feruchemist Elantrian, I prefer to not have my personality overwritten by a hostile alien entity Radiant(Either Skybreaker or Truthwatcher, though I won't commit before I get the Truthwatcher oaths)
  2. I could say the same thing of Well of Ascension and Edgedanncer.
  3. Shards are limited by more than themselves. Investiture can't reverse time, reach the Beyond, perfectly see the future etc.
  4. Words of Radiance The Way of Kings Rhythm of War Oathbringer The Bands of Mourning Dawnshard Edgedanncer Secret Histories The Emperor's Soul Hero of Ages Well of Ascension The Lost Metal The Final Empire Elantris Shadows for Silence Sixth of the Dusk Shadows of Self The Alloy of Law Warbreaker
  5. 2 Nephi 2:11-13, with an emphasis on 13
  6. Well if the coins passes through it, you either missed the Lightweaver, or they aren't there. If the coins hits something, then something is under the illusion, but you don't know what.
  7. Nope. Um, no, not at all. The only WoB on that is this one, which says the exact opposite.
  8. @alder24 isn't entirely wrong infrared light does cause heating, in ways that other wavelengths of light do not. There's a reason we call it Thermal radiation
  9. Thanks Argent!
  10. Yes, but I don't think it's that much of an advantage. It becomes a mind game: The Lightweaver will be approaching in an illusion, but they know that I know that, so they will make an illusion as a diversion, and I should prepare for them to come without an illusion. However they know, that I know that they know that, so they will use multiple illusion distractions, and also come with an illusion themselves. It becomes a psychological war, that no one can really win.
  11. Height from their foot to the top of their shell.
  12. So I found a WoB talking about one of Hoid's apprentices getting stuck on a world in era 3-4 time line. Which matches SP 4 perfectly. And given it has an invested sun, some form of solar sail magic could be in play.
  13. So, I have often through about the size of gemhearts the Tai-na(Reshi isle greatshells) have, and finally decided to calculate it. Chasmfiends are roughly 50 feet tall, and have gemhearts the size of a child's head, or roughly 14 inches in diameter. Note that all of these numbers are generalizations, but they should be within the realm of reason, they are chosen to make calculations easier. Tai-na have fifty feet between the top of their head and their eye, which based on the chasmfiend picture would be about 1/200th of its total size. Which is horribly inaccurate, but it's the best I can do, totalling 10,000 feet. Comparing the height, because I'm assuming that the other dimensions are proportional, which is still horribly inaccurate, but I can't think of any better way, we get a circumference of 233 1/3 feet.
  14. I can't hear you over the sound of Duel of the Fates. John Williams, you had no reason to make it that good!
  15. I am now a difficulty metric. You heard it here folks, look for me in the difficulty settings of Dark Souls 4. To the OP: The most I've heard of is a quandary star system, which is two pairs of binary star systems orbiting each other. Now, nothing expressly forbids a multi star system like this, the easiest way to do that I think would be to have 7 Stars in orbit around a particularly large black hole. With the planet even further out in the system. Now this isn't without problems, namely the day/night cycle is going to be completely insane, but I think it will work without unreasonable amounts of handwavium.
  16. Well, he experiments on spren, sees if they survive, and then cut them up to see what happened. Ishii experimented on people, saw if they survived, and then cut them up to see what happened. It's not exactly the same thing, but it has the same feel to it.
  17. I'm thinking about his Spren dissection tent.
  18. I find this way too funny.
  19. I don't think he could even get that much. Elend had an entire bead, Wax only got dust. I'd honestly be surprised if his speed bubble would even have a noticable compression factor.
  20. Another thing is that Wax can't reload, as he can't afford to spend the time. So the 12 or so bullets that he has chambered already are all the shots he has.
  21. You can't keep applying that comic to me Well, you can, I won't stop you, and I'll probably enjoy it.
  22. So I recently found a video about a biological researcher named Ishii. And both his name and several story elements fit Ishar with remarkable accuracy. https://youtu.be/eMq-fApmzts Am I alone in this or does this look more like an unintentional connection?
  23. I agree with this.
  24. Well, how worried are you about hitting dark matter? Which is really entirely up to you at this point cause we have no idea what it does/is/whatever. If you aren't you can try exiting the galactic disk, and flying perpendicular to it along the disk's face until you get over the star system you want and re-entering.
