  1. I don't think Kelesina was confirmed to have a spike. And they had over a decade to find their desired abilities, I'll admit it's stretching plausibility, but it could happen.
  2. The way I understand it is you store the actual effects of Pewter.
  3. That is true, once you have adjusted to that gravitational change. But you are going to be weaker than you are used to. All of these points are correct, but that still is a vulnerability. Lower oxygen and higher gravity means you spend several days much weaker, and less active than the planets natives, which makes it easier for them to force you off of the world. Now it's not crippling, but it is something to keep in mind
  4. Yes, but you can have an opportunity presented to you, and say "Hey give me a day to think over it" and then experience how they react, and how you feel to each answer. Wax has taken in the mists on a few occasions, so that's not a requirement
  5. So I found this WoB And it got me thinking, you could use this to test multiple life choices on yourself for virtually no consequences. And with Malatium you could test the reactions other people would give you to various answers. It's the ultimate always make the right choice mechanic.
  6. We don't know, not definitely anyway.
  7. Huh, TLM
  8. No, they'd need Connection to the relevant shard. Let's you see directly into the SR, for an expansive view of the future.
  9. When she was trying to kill Kalak.
  10. She also turned the Winds Pleasure into water, which is the same essence, so probably. The only other thing she soulcasts is the doorknob I think, but it doesn't tell us what she made it.
  11. This is the unpopular Brandon opinions thread. If other authors wrote the Cosmere is here https://www.17thshard.com/forum/topic/16579-if-other-authors-wrote-the-cosmere-novels/?page=6
  12. Radiants can soulcast any of the essences, I was more looking for things she was better at.
  13. So apparently even Knights have an affinity with certain essences when they soulcast That really peaked my interest, and just for fun I thought I'd try to work out Jasnah's affinities. In Kharbranth Shallan mentions that Jasnah is better at making crystals, smoke and fire. And looking at her actions on screen that seems to fit. Jasnah has enough skill with fire to burn words onto a sheet of paper, and turns the footpads into fire, and smoke. Even turning them into smoke from a distance. And she was able to use infectious soulcasting with quartz during the battle of Theylan fields.
  14. Yeah yeah yeah. "Frustration, another topic?" Look this Arcanum rabbit hole is interesting, I'm sorry. So anyway, I found this particular WoB And it got me thinking, I highly doubt that those are feruchemical powers granted by those spikes, as Reluur is third generation, so his blessings came from TLR, and he wouldn't have wasted feruchemical spikes like that. So, that left me with one conclusion. Reluur's pewter spikes were changed with regular people. Thinking about it more I realized that there isn't any reason why that shouldn't work, the only question is what it would steal.
  15. Spiritweb concussion That actually might be it. That could have some interesting ramifications. My thoughts exactly.
  16. So, like many people I have long assumed that non-bladed shard weapons didn't have any special effects. Then I found this WoB Which implies that if the weapon can get inside the body in some way it doesn't need a blade to deal damage, but it isn't specific.
  17. Yes I already looked through that, and I'd note him not saying that Jasnah and Shallan require the right gems. And that with Radiants you inhale the stormlight, you can't use it while it is in gems. And as seen in RoW, the gem the light comes from doesn't matter.
  18. There's one in the soulcaster fake I think. I don't believe it is ever confirmed that they are, and I personally doubt it. Though whether that would apply to Shallan here is unknown.
  19. Opening the lamps was a reverse lashing, not a full lashing, which is what we've seen. But I do agree, if it is possible, it is highly under utilized. Tien did have honesty problems, whether you would call them lies depends on your definition,
  20. All spren react to the Highstorm, so that's not unusual. And while they might like the winds, ultimately they are the Spren of Honor. But you do call Windspren Windspren because they are attracted to the Wind. I do call them cryptics. When referring to them alone. But if I'm making a list it feels wrong to have all but one of the items in the ___spren format, when I can format all of them the same way. When wind blows Windspren come, when you light fire Flamespren come, when you feel Glory, Anger, Pain, anticipation, fear etc those spren come. When you say a lie, what spren come? Liespren. There's no reason for them to be the only spren that don't follow the rule.
  21. No spren is made of what they are. Windspren aren't made of wind, they are attracted to it. Flamespren aren't made of fire they are attracted to it. Liespren aren't made of lies, they are attracted to them. Because they don't like the term?
  22. And? I wanted to call them that, and it's an accurate term.
  23. Yes, and Jasnah says they would be called Liespren in Words of Radiance.
