  1. South Scadrians just freeze to death in even moderately cold weather.
  2. Kelsier doesn't have any real oversight on the Rosharan Ghostbloods, so their are borderline a rogue element
  3. If Scadrial gets it's non-Scadrian individuals and magic so does Roshar. Fair is fair. Do you have any evidence that it won't be in Rosharan possession? Just assume. If both sides as they are at the end of TLM we're to suddenly unite with only their native population and magic, learn of the other, and deside "those people need to die" who would win? You need steel feedings to make the medallions. Because the Ghostbloods were so effective at countering the Set right? Use Cohesion to have the stone along the reshi seafloor tell you where they are. Kaladin had a fight with a couple dozen broams, which are 400 milligrams each. How much stormlight would be held by a gemstone thousands of kilograms? And even assuming that one isn't enough they can just bring more. Atium yes, Lerasium only happened once and hasn't been able to be reproduced. The gemstones are only for stormlight the spren housings would be the metal shardblades are inserted in. And I highly doubt Harmonium can break something shardblades can't. None of their guns were able to get high enough to hit airships. Get two gemstones one full of stormlight, one of anti-stormlight, set up a fabrial clock that will combine the lights and drop it from the CR. I don't think living plate needs stormlight to function, but even if it did they couldn't drain the plate
  4. His mind didn't work, but his body was still alive.
  5. Aether bound and forgers don't count as extra-planetary? If you want the native born scadrians who don't use otherworld Investiture that's fine, but if you want more Roshar gets Change and Nightblood. The ability to instantly destroy entire buildings, artillery prices, warships, etc is a bit beyond what anything else can do. Stronger Connection to Roshar. Yes, but it doesn't bind them in any way. They can do the same thing that they do to other Radiants, and since the distance between the radiant and the Stormfather doesn't matter the Stormfather can simply stay on Roshar. I find it hard to believe it won't survive given that they can be repaired even if pulverized into dust. And as I've said, both sides, united. Aside from the bands we haven't seen any, steel-ferrings are pretty rare, and probably even moreso among the Southerners. So there might be a handful but not enough to be too much of a burden. Both of whom will immediately be spotted, and the plan would already be known to the Rosharans via their Lightweaver and sleepless spies. It would only be consumed when used by Radiants, and even then it would probably last for moths or even years. That's why they would be brought in via Oathgate, replenish the reserves and then leave. Even if they do Rosharans can bring in Fourth bridge type planes, with different sized gems and ten plus years of improvement. Additionally Windrunners and Skybreakers will be faster and more maneuverable than the early planes and they can afford to be more reckless. Fair enough, but Roshar has something beyond anti-matter detonations
  6. So Scadrial gets their extra-planetary advantages but Roshar doesn't? Because yes, Szeth would be totally fine with it, and I'm going under the assumption that both sides are willing to use anything at their disposal. Honor is connected to the entire Cosmere. And the same trick that works with any other order of Radiants will work on a Bondsmith. But even if it didn't Ishar's Honorblade fills the same role. 1. How many steel compounders exist? 2. Even with steel compounding they won't be able to move fast enough for long enough to get that kind of scouting done. As stated before, there are several reasons why it won't. But I'll go over it again. 1. Take Tai-na gemhearts which are probably bigger than houses and use Cohesion to fix any imperfections. 2. Transfer to Scadrial and use Bondsmith (spren or Honorblade) to refuel as needed. Technology that was given to them. Sazed mentioned consequences for doing that, one of them is that they didn't earn it, so applying and learning from it will take a long time. It also had a massive payload. They were being given the technology, without Trell around and most of the scientists dead their progress will stall.
  7. They're just in the possession of Rosharans. I see no difference. The Bondsmith can just leave while the Stormfather stays there. As stated earlier the Bondsmith doesn't need to be near the Stormfather. How are scadrians going to accurately target a single platform from far enough away that no Radiants notice them? Neither will northern and southern scadrians. In order to move that fast he would use up so much steel that he wouldn't be able to sustain it. And they can target him while he's resting. Then why does everyone on the ship have to use the medallions? And even if all it did was make it really hard to fly just add downwards lashings until it does fall from the sky. Wood and paper ones maybe. They are closer to nukes, as it's a matter to energy reaction just using mass, no anti-particles. Neither do northern and southern scadrians. I believe it was well established that the technology to use the bombs in missiles doesn't exist yet.
  8. I was saying they shouldn't count for the purposes of the discussion, otherwise Roshar gets Nightblood and Change. Why's that? A Tai-na gemheart would likely be the size of a house, and you only need the supply line until you can move an Oathgate to Scadrial. I don't think that alone would be enough. I don't think he has a choice (FE 518). But even if he did between soulcasting aluminum boxes around him, and Bondsmiths and Unmade trying to break in and control him, I don't think Marsh will make much difference. Yes they can, everyone on an airship has to be storing weight, all they have to do is land on one(BoM 401). Scadrial doesn't have anti-matter. And while yes it does let the forces behind the shield get targeted it's only there to protect the squishy infantry while the Radiants and Thunderclast beak the enemy formations.
  9. I'm just imagining a skybreaker going full division flying through some skyscrapers in Scadrial 9/11 right now, thank you sir. So, I'd say the only ghostbloods allowed are scasrian natives. And Kandra cannot mimic Radiants, or singers, and any Elsecaller, Lightweaver, or Willshaper can see what they are by looking into the CR. Actually it would be fine. Additionally they can use Tai-na gemhearts to store stormlight, or use cohesion to make larger perfect gemstones. Let's assume this works(which I believe it will) that's one person, and only so many attributes. Have Elsecallers soulcast an aluminum box around him, harry them with Windrunners, atrack with Lightweavers, jusr wear them down. They'll run out of attributes eventually. The lerasium only appeared once, and hasn't been able to be replicated. And Wayne ate all of it. Inqusitors have to rest a lot and it gets worse as they get older. I doubt Marsh can manage more than a few active hours a week. Additionally he isn't fullborn, he only has 21 spikes, 2 are for Atium, and there are probably multiple a-steel ones. Scadrian airships make about 25 mph, and can be brought down by a single squire. A rosharan will be heavier than their scadrian counterpart. Sibling sheild generators should do the trick.
  10. The moon scepter translates selish languages, it functions as a connection hack, allowing him to know those languages even when he's not on Sel there are several uses for it.
  11. Are you referring to Ashravan? Because in that case it functions the same way spikes do for kandra, his soul was still there, otherwise he'd be dead.
  12. More likely he's going to make it a reveal in era 3.
  13. I'm thinking about making a comprehensive analysis of each Cosmere world's combat capabilities.

Would anyone be interested in this?

Sure! I'd love that, and I'm more than willing to help comb through Cosmere novels. I expect to be finished with TLM very soon.

Alright, first world analysis complete, TLM spoilers, but Scadrial is ready.

  14. Each new book is more Cosmere aware than the last, and Brandon recently said that he is no longer concerned about hiding Cosmere references, and there are going to be more crossovers. I cannot express how happy this makes me.
  15. Unless he never discovered it. There is a metalmind that anyone can store any attribute in, which I believe to be Harmonium. The reason no one knows about it is that Harmonium is impossible to safely hold.
  16. Most worldhoppers have some for of immortality. Additionally there is some evidence to suggest that Self is experiencing extreme time dilation.
  17. Harmony said that Wax did something different as all his experiments only resulted in Atium. I'm guessing it has to do with intent, and wanting to Preserve something is really hard when you're making a bomb.
  18. I'm going to argue the premise that the soul stamp is a person into themselves. It's nothing more than a memory alteration.
  19. Incredibly well. Mraize said that it was just a connection issue(RoW 188), any Bondsmith should be able to make it work. I've been preparing for this for a long time, and have participating in similar discussions in the past. And I have been severely underestimating Roshar. I'll break this up into multiple parts 1. Roshar is impossible to invade. 2. Scadrial can be invaded quite easily. The thing is Roshar has too many advantages. Their magic is superior, their mobility superior, their fabrials superior, their population is higher. The only thing Scadrial has going for it is a slight edge in conventional technology, but Roshar's fabrials are quickly eating up that difference.
  20. That one's easy. Aon Dor is keyed to Aerelon, that's one of the reasons that it's so hard to move from there.
  21. I'm of the opinion that the Lerasium Wax accidentally inhaled was tainted with steel from the box.
  22. Not in any way that would be different than if any other shard was splintered.
  23. I can live without a kitchen.
  24. The arcanum should have them in the next couple of days to a few weeks.
