Singers do age faster, but Mateform is one of the few fertile ones, and by far the most fertile. Stormform and other forms of power are infertile. They also require a singer do die for them to exist, if it got to near extinction levels the singer side will feel the pinch on recruitment more than humans. Which they will get back, Fused however never regain their sanity.

Frustration's Firepower Index: Scadrial

I have, after careful consideration, and thoughts from the people arguing for higher points on defense, decided to place the mountains and rivers under further review. I will look further into this and share my findings shortly. -
Another OP thing Bondsmiths can do.
Frustration replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
They can probably do the same thing. Probably storing the Connection, but yes. However that would only work for you. -
The Singers would lose in the same way, but humans reproduce faster. Then perhaps you should have paid more attention to the context of that line, Odium never made more Fused, so if you say he could I can easily say the Stormfather makes more Honorspren. The books literally say the only reason Syl reacted like that is because she was too young. And that spren do in fact prefer to bond quickly after their radiant dies.

You can convert one to the other, I don't know if you can change metals to anti-investiture, but the process for making anti-light should be the same and then you can convert between states.

Fullborn vs bondsmith unchained (with shardplate)
Frustration replied to bmcclure7's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Ishar is a Bondsmith. How would they have full metalminds if they didn't have prep time? Saying they just have it on them naturally means you can include their guards, technology, weapons or other additional tools as well. Depending on their spren they do have access to time dilation, the Stormfather has the space between spaces where he can compress entire conversations in the time between seconds, and it's implied that other Bondsmiths can also dilate time, though probably not to such an extreme degree.- 36 replies

Fullborn vs bondsmith unchained (with shardplate)

And it would also make them no longer a Fullborn. If the Fullborn can use their powers to prepare for the fight so can the Bondsmith.- 36 replies

The blast was comparable to medium nuclear weapons (I calculated). At point blank range there was nothing he could have done, both him and the gold were instantly vaporized

Probably MST as that's what Utah is.

If it's only a few seconds of storage it would be used up as the storage is what keys it to the feruchemical power, but the difference between say one gram of metal that is completely full and two grams that are completely full is the same as they would be if they were just burned allomantically.

I'm inclined to agree, though that will probably take longer to implement than the other changes. -
Fullborn vs bondsmith unchained (with shardplate)
Frustration replied to bmcclure7's topic in Cosmere Discussion
If we don't allow prep time the Bondsmith wins because without incredibly boosted speed the Fullborn can't kill them. If we allow prep time the Bondsmith adds themselves to the Oathpact, allowing them to try again until the Fullborn dies.- 36 replies

Frustration's Firepower Index: Scadrial
Frustration replied to Frustration's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Mainly because if you look at how the map depicts the icons the mountains of mist and the Horneater peaks are far higher than say the unclaimed hills, which appears about the same as the Scadrian mountain ranges. And general Roshar is not plains, it's rocky crags which is easier for humans to move on than horses OB 736. The Set did it. They went from their warehouse to the temple of the Sovereign in what two days? They almost beat Wax there and he could fly. -
It's not ten times what you put in. That's just a number Sazed throws out as it's a theoretical concept to him at this point. What Brandon has said after is that compounding is using Allomancy to power feruchemy, meaning that the power you get out is equivalent to what you would have gotten burning it allomantically, but it gives the feruchemical power instead.

Not to mention that in the past they had Dawnshards, which when combined with surgebinding have already destroyed one planet.
-
One known death, of an unknown cause and ideal. And that would make them a single notable casualty in the entire conflict.

Frustration's Firepower Index: Scadrial

The mountain ranges are all low lying, as indicated by their icons, which I mentioned in the initial analysis. And while the Malwish do have mountains they can't survive there long due to their need of warmth. And most of their continent is accessable via the ocean. Does Scadrial have water based mines? But in order to build railways in the first place the ground has to be flat, the railways being in tact or not doesn't matter on a geographic standpoint, what matters is that the ground is flat giving no barriers or defenses. -
That is just strictly speaking not true. The fused have shown no ability to harm plate other than just battering it down with repeated hits. And we know given by the fact that only a handful of times in the history of Roshar has that ever worked, most of those being stories involving poison or other tricks rather than actually beating plate, that that is not an effective strategy. Jasnah in plate is basically immune to Lezian, while she is free to soulcast the air around his head or body into stone at a moments notice. The only Radiants to ever die to our knowledge, have either been killed by Nale, by Moash, when unconscious, or by Skybreakers. There has only been 1 in all that time who may have fallen to the fused. If that doesn't show you how utterly incompetent the fused are I don't know what will. Every order has surges that make fighting a piece of cake, If any order with gravitation loses in a fight it's because they have no idea what they are doing. Division is even more busted, Abrasion users can't be touched, Progression enhances your already unbeatable healing, with Illumination you opponents should never see you coming, a single competent Lightweaver could take out the entire fused High Command. Transformation is just about the most busted ability ever, either turn your opponents to smoke, or the air around them to dust. Cohesion means you own the terrain, you can force you opponents to fight on your terms, box them in, sink them into the ground etc. Compared to that the best thing the Fused have is teleportation, and that is comprised of the least populated brands. Sure they can move through stone, but they can't shape it, command an entire field to become liquid sinking all your enemies in a single blow. They can fly forever, but so slowly that even squires can keep up with them. Add in shardblades, and plate and there is literally nothing the Fused can do.

Going from the Perpendicularity to the basin only requires them to cross a single mountain range, which has pathways to the basin. From there an invading force won't need to cross mountains again until they invade the Malwish. And there is one very important detail about those rivers that ruins their potential defensive use: They are all navigable. Rather than hindering an invading army they provide quick and easy transportation to the Basin's capital and largest population center. And even if they don't take the time to build boats rail lines run perpendicular to the rivers, allowing them to follow those. The invading army has no reason to leave the Basin until they finished conquering it, as there are no noteworthy population centers outside of it. -
I'm certain someone has run the numbers on that at some point. You wouldn't be able to run up walls though, running pushes you away from an object, so you would only do a wall flip. The rings lodged in Sazed, and the arrow in Shallan. They can make full lashings so you I don't think that them being different orders would prevent Stonewards from having strength.
-
So you want them to outrun gravity? Not really, lodge enough rounds in his skull and his brain won't have the room to heal right, the Gatling guns they use would be more than enough. Dalinar could not have lifted the rocks over the temple of Taln without surges And since Adhesion does not grant that power it must be a result of Tension. @UnfortunatelyNamed With the size of the metalminds needed I doubt even a compounder could make enough attribute without compounding non-stop for decades. Only one of those uses Tension, and if you are close enough to lock up your opponents clothes you are close enough for blade range.
-
Even when in the air Mistborn still needed to wait for their coins to hit the ground before they could push themselves with them. Shooting Miles would've worked eventually. He said that you can soulcast filled metalminds and Shardplate. Even if you want to argue that shardplate would be too hard for a single individual, metalminds would not be. Compared to turning them to stone, or burning them to dust, or closing the distance between you in the blink of an eye? Not really, and other orders could do that and more. Why would you make a sword out of a shirt when you have one that cuts through anything already? Without it they're just a worse version of the Willshapers. Windrunner oaths are about protecting, and they have the fastest response times to emergency situations, so I highly doubt that Stonewards spent the most time on the front lines. What proof do you have that Stonewards cannot use Tension to increase their strength?
-
The objects would have to be either heavier than they are or anchored in place.

Nightblood is less dangerous than Bondsmiths Just because he can't cause harm doesn't mean he isn't the most powerful, this isn't who would win in a fight.

That burned through all of Kaladin's stormlight, and broke his legs, all to merely crack the plate. No, because the coins would just be shot out without imparting any force to the compounder.
