  1. TLM spoilers aren't allowed here.
  2. It's designed so that you don't have to have read any of it, though being up to date can't hurt
  3. Fortune isn't luck, but the ability to see the future, I suppose you could still use it for gambling, just not in the way you think.
  4. The damage is not, but the behavior is. Healing would repair the damage, but wouldn't stop the nerves from responding. If they were genetic then yes they would be unhealable. But they can last for far longer, under normal use batteries will hold charge for three months.
  5. I don't think that would work anymore than you could heal your way out of a grip. Your nerves are behaving normally, they're just responding to stimuli that doesn't come from your brain. And even if it did work, it'd burn through your healing so fast they'd still get you. That won't be enough. You could run at X2 speed for forever, but if you wanted to go near sonic levels it would take weeks of nonstop compounding for you to run for a couple seconds.
  6. You can do it from pretty far away, and if it took them too long they'd make bullets that functions the same way. So can they, but they can fly higher, faster and lose practically nothing in doing so. Not for long, even moving at near sonic speeds would take ludicrous amounts of storage. You can't even run fast enough that sonar would lose sight of you. Take away your metals and there isn't much you can do.
  7. Nerve gas, tear gas, nets, tanks that weigh over a ton, tasers, the fact that they outnumber you two million to one. Actually thinking about it you have nothing to counter tasers, technically they aren't harming you so you can't heal from it, and it's not pain so you can't store it. So yeah, they just tase you and then you can't move.
  8. Technically yes, but Sazed described it as a new personal metal at the end of TFE, so I'd count it.
  9. Yes it would, but it would not be another Atium+iron alloy. Why would he not be speaking of viable metals?
  10. Alright, thanks for clairification. I would disagree, as it says specifically Atium alloys for each metal, meaning that Atium and Iron could be alloyed more than sixteen different ways, Atium and Copper in more than sixteen different ways etc.
  11. So do you agree with my analysis that 5% Atium 95% iron would be different than 50% atium 50% Iron? I can't tell.
  12. This WoB Feruchemically storing in a spike, or using a metalmind as a spike, kind of the feuchemy and hemalurgy version of compounding, though not the same thing
  13. Can you find Arcanum Unbounded? Because Emperor's soul is included in there.
  14. Well, we know a few of those assumptions to be incorrect(namely atium can be alloyed in over sixteen different ways with the same base metal) but since we don't have any concrete numbers for those, this is probably the most accurate number that we can actually calculate. Well, while hemalurgically charged metals don't have any additional effects in Hemalurgy, they would in Feruchemy and the other way around. So in Hemalurgically and Feruchemically there are over 3.4*10^19000 metals and in Allomancy there would be over 5.1*10^19000 metals Other than with Feruchemy and Hemalurgy I don't think we have another way to invest metals that causes an effect, storing breath in metal would only let you get that breath out when burned, not change it's effect.
  15. Those were all destroyed by the Phantoms at the end of the book though.
  16. Well if you have someone willing to pay such a price, and they can continue to do so, that basically becomes the market value. This is true, and I did try to find the cost of goods at closer tech level societies, but I wasn't able to get any year round costs.
  17. Well, going by a monthly average cost of living to be at $5,111 USD per month that would put a single Breath at $490,656 USD. And Susebron's trove at $24.5 Billion USD.
  18. Well, techincally you could say he's a government entity, but yeah, probably. No, Jewles only mentioned food, not to mention that I have no idea what the expenses of those would be for a H'Hallandren family. I guessing they had some form of suplimental income, that wasn't enough to sustain them.
  19. Well I say he can, for as long as it takes for the next per to post.
  20. So I decided to calculate how much breath is worth. Jewels said that her Breath got her family enough money to feed them for a year. Her family was composed of herself, her parents, and her five siblings, which totaled to eight people. What lasts eight people for one year, should last one person eight years, as finding the average cost of food for one person is significantly easier. Assuming they were frugal and didn't eat extravigently that works out to roughly $39,000 USD per Breath. (Based on the average amount of money spent on food by the lowest quartile in 2021, which was $4,875) Assuming they kept their standard of living as middle class(With roughly $7,600 per year in 2021) then a Breath is valued at $60,800 USD. Now the real numbers would likely be quite a bit higher, as food used to cost more, however sources from those times aren't exactly giving me the data neccesary. And just for fun I decided to calculate how much Susebron's trove of Breath is, which worked out to between 24.375 Million USD, and 3.04 Billion USD.
  21. The ones that say you can burn them which splice DNA are newer, and with Identity manipulation you should be able to burn spikes that aren't yours.
  22. Yeah, the Lumar aether moons are a variant.
  23. Could in theory, but probably doesn't.
