  1. That might be it. I'm not sure. This WoB makes it sound like it has something do do with Jasnah and Taln.
  2. For those who didn't hear, RoW will be 460K words. OB was 454K.
  3. Ah, I see it now. It just wasn't showing up earlier because I was on mobile.
  4. Where is the comment that says that? I'm having trouble finding it.
  5. Could you find that? I don't remember that one.
  6. I could help with the Skybreakers, although since we already know their oaths, I'm not sure what you'd want me to talk about specifically.
  7. It definitely seems like an early interlude, since the indications are that the groups haven't split up yet.
  8. Yep. It offers more credence towards her being the character that "might just appear in other viewpoints, save for an interlude."
  9. Something I have to keep telling myself about this chapter is that it's probably about 100K+ words into RoW (Brandon said Part 1 was 111K words in draft 1). That's a whole lot of context that we're missing.
  10. We got the name of either Truthwatcher or Stoneward spren: peakspren.
  11. Yep. Chapter 1 was in the November newsletter, and something new will be sent today. @Gderu, the new newsletter hasn't been sent, but you are supposed to get the most recent one when you sign up. Did you get the confirmation email?
  12. I believe that that is the full chapter, which has been in the most recent newsletter since November.
  13. No, the coppermind is correct. A significant portion of the letters on this picture are incorrect, and many of the words are misspelled. The part that the joke was found in actually starts out like, "Buth tho be perfechthly and chompleathly ioneshth..."
  14. "Samam is a eird irland Adolin is suchi a..." I have no idea.
  15. Is it here? That's the farthest thing towards the bottom.
  16. Somebody may have found it. Here's a couple excerpts I noticed: The glowing text touching his shoulder is The text right above that is There are a lot of misspelled things. Almost half of the words are spelled a strange way.
  17. Of course. That's why it is not at all definite, just as Lirin's inclusion isn't either. Although, to be clear, I don't think that she will get several interludes or chapters either. As I stated above, one of the minor PoVs in Group 1 "might just appear in other viewpoints, save for an interlude," which I would expect to be Syl if she is considered to be in the format.
  18. He was called by his name in the newsletter exclusive Chapter 1 preview, but I guess that doesn't really count as him having a name yet.
  19. I was suggesting that she has a chance to be one of the minor PoVs, specifically the one that "might just appear in other viewpoints, save for an interlude." I agree that we won't be getting a novel's worth of her PoVs.
  20. If Syl does end up getting a viewpoint, I agree with the idea that it would likely be an interlude. Here's something Brandon said about one of the lesser Group 1 characters:
  21. That is the same thing that I was saying. I was just explaining that F=ma is not the equation that describes that relationship. The equation that does is unknown, although we do know most of the variables that are factors in it.
  22. I found this extra bit of info: Emphasis mine. I had originally left out the spren as candidates for group slots because we didn't have them in the past, and because there are more sentient spren that will be with the groups than the number of slots will allow. However, knowing that in October, Sanderson hoped that her PoV could be included, I think that Syl is a strong candidate for a lesser spot in Group 1, although not definite. Thoughts?
  23. Yes, that is the correct application of that equation. However, I was talking about how Vin's lower mass would normally mean her Pushes are not as strong, which does not have to do with that equation.
  24. That equation isn't directly applicable to what I'm talking about. None of the variables in that equation refer to Push strength, and "a" stands for acceleration, so Vin having a higher "a" than normal doesn't make sense. I'm saying that Allomancer mass is a factor in Push force, which we don't know the equation for (although there are a bunch of theories).
  25. Actually, it seems that Push strength is proportional to mass. Kelsier mentions that Vin's Pushes are strong for someone her size, which indicates that smaller people have weaker Pushes, and in the scenes where Wax Pushes while his mass is increased, his Pushes appear to be much stronger.
