  1. In WoK and WoR breachtree is spelled with an a: while in chapter 15 of RoW it is spelled "breechtree" without the a: One of these is likely a typo
  2. Brandon said in a livestream a little while ago that he expects to have all of the Shard's names canonised by the time Rhythm of War is released. At the time (and I still hope it is true) I thought he meant that the book would tell us, but other Sharders thought he meant that he'll just have decided on what their names would be and not that we would know what they were.
  3. Art is subjective. Different people will like different styles more than others. Also, as an aside, in this specific case this is the only depiction of that scene we have on the Coppermind. I can't speak for the exact intentions of the people who put this together, but based on the way things are often done on the Coppermind I'd guess that one of the things they thought about when choosing art was to try to use art of diverse styles and from different artists to promote them and their work as well as to appeal to different people's tastes. (to avoid double posting I'm putting my question here too) Would it be possible to make it so you can either open the images in a new tab/ window by right clicking on them? Or preferably, make it so if you click on the image its Coppermind file page opens in a new tab.
  4. I noticed this a while ago and then forgot about it. A quick google search later it seems that the translator is dead/down and there is no replacement, and so I've removed that line from the page.
  5. Hm, while I'm pretty sure we already knew that from an earlier wob, it is indeed not mentioned on that page. Thanks for pointing that out!
  6. Of course, I just want to get a feel for what most people do so I can take that into account when I try to figure out if it is worth it for me to get them.
  7. Or if you just want the ebook you can get it with tier 1 for $10
  8. The only possibly "positive" use of this would be to spike attributes out of people who are about to die anyways. Of course the possibilities for abusing this are endless and are almost guaranteed to happen. Kind of like charging for organ donations. It starts out nice, but eventually you have cartels capturing innocents to harvest their organs, or in this case their attributes.
  9. I, and I suspect many others, have never bought one of the leatherbounds before and while I made pledge for the Way of Kings Kickstarter I am unsure whether or not I should go through with it. I am not sure if the cost will be worth the amount of value I will get out of them. So I have made this poll to give myself and anyone else who is considering buying these leatherbounds or any others an idea of what sort of value and usage to expect to get out of owning one of the leatherbounds. Hopefully this will help me and anyone else who has the same thoughts I am having come to a decision. So if you are the owner of a leatherbound please select the option in the poll that best describes how you use your leatherbounds. Thank you! (Of course, if you do not own one of the leatherbounds please don't vote in the poll. That would defeat the purpose)
  10. The ebook will eventually be available separately but you may as well get it from tier 1 of the Kickstarter. It's only $10 and it might not be available outside the campaign until a while after it ends.
  11. The ebook should be available before RoW. Yes that is a picture of a Larkin.
  12. You are a stick but you can't be fire I wish to be able to use Summoning Charms (i.e. Accio from Harry Potter, the most useful spell in the series)
  13. @Rowroad They actually have, though only somewhat recently. https://www.graphicaudio.net/white-sand-series-set.html
  14. Thanks for pointing that out. I've gone ahead and fixed this. For the future, the way you fix something like this would be to change the word/name inside the double brackets to the correct one. For example, in this instance, I changed [[Allrianne]] to [[Allriandre]] which links to the correct page. P.S. This is my 100th post on the forum!
  15. Fun Fact: those are written by the Sleepless. IMO it's too early to say who it is because we don't know what will happen in the end of the story. My guess is that Dalinar is the redeemer, and come to think of it maybe the destroyer too. Though since it says "may redeem" and "will destroy" I don't think it makes sense for them to be the same person.
  16. Hmm. You'd probably have to edit the image that's on the wiki, but it's best to check with the Keepers before doing something like that. (I just help a lot on the wiki, so I have some experience with how these things usually work, but I am not a Keeper or anything)
  17. Is the reason you think this is incorrect due to grammar or the translation (i.e. you know how to read the women's script.)? I myself don't know how to read it. My point is that if it's just about grammar it might just be how it is written in the script. In which case the accurate, though grammatically incorrect, version would probably be the correct one to have on the wiki.
  18. That's an interesting way of reading a book. When I read a book I just read it. I don't make assumptions about the plot and the characters based on unrelated information about the author. I can't comment about the actual comparison you are making since it has been something like ten years since I last read Ender's Game. What did you mean by this?
  19. This actually came up in a recent discussion on Discord (though it was about other authors not Brandon). In my opinion this is not true. I always disconnect authors/artists/musicians and their personal lives, views, and actions from the art/books/music they make. This is not to say I agree or disagree with the whole BLM thing on its own, I just don't think that anyone's views on the subject matter in the slightest with regard to their art. I fundamentally disagree with the notion that anyone should be 'cancelled' and that it should be considered somehow wrong or immoral to enjoy their art due to something they believe, say, or have done no how wrong that thing may be. If I enjoy something there is nothing I can learn about its creator that will stop me from continuing to do so.
  20. Secret history has a bunch of Scadrial specific lore, but as others have said the best place is probably either Arcanum or probably the Coppermind.
  21. Where is that? I can't find it
