Invested objects resist other investiture. A big example of this is Feruchemical metalminds resisting being pushed. But Intent changes how things work. What if an allomancer wielded Nightblood, and communicated with him. Nightblood agreed to letting himself be pushed, so the allomancer tried. This is the conundrum. An invested object resists being pushed, but has given its consent and its Intent it to be pushed. What would happen?

That is a good point, but that hinges on Amazon delivering my book on time (It has been preordered for months, but you never know what might happen). It also depends on my ability to complete schoolwork quickly so that I have time to read. 13 hours, 40 minutes, 25 seconds!!!!!!

Once you have snapped, part of Preservation's power is you. Brandon has described the process as (paraphrased by me) "You get so beat up that your spirit starts to crack as well. Once your spirit is sufficiently cracked, Preservation's power rushes in and heals your spirit. Preservations healing allows you permanent access to his power when you burn metals." So yes, a Mistborn has investiture as part of their spiritual ideal.

Mistborn Era 2 happens between Stormlight 1-5 and Stormlight 6-10. We know that there is 300 years between Wea 1 and Era 2. This means that there is probably about a 250 year time span between Harmony’s creation and Dalinar’s unification of Alethkar, which is kind of where the entire story begins. 250 years is a suitable amount of time. Harmony has had time to send spies to Roshar, Brandon has confirmed that there are Kandra that we have seen in the books that have been release so far. We know that Autonomy loves to send minions throughout the Cosmere. It would make sense for Odium to know about Harmony and develop a sense of fear for what has happened. The reason he Splinters the Shards the way he does is to eliminate opposition. If there are no other Gods, then by default you are the most powerful. Harmony has 2 Shards, which is Odiums greatest nightmare.

A definite conclusion is hard. We need an answer to an important question if we want a conclusion, but Brandon has given a RAFO to it every time. The question is “Could Nightblood become the Vessel of a Shard?”. If he could, then I think that Nightblood could realistically weaken or kill a Shard, but if he can’t hold a Shard, then he might weaken it some but he probably can’t kill it.

You don’t really sign up, you just have to get tagged. It is entirely possible someone is chosen once, then wants to get tagged again but never does.

Common theory is that Odium didn’t kill Devotion and Dominion, he pitted them against each other so they fought each other, then he finished the job when they were both weak or when one was the weak and the other was dead. I don’t know much about Ambition so I can’t offer an opinion(I haven’t read Shadows for Silence). I believe that in a fight against Honor he would have been evenly matched, but Honor looked into the future. He saw the stalemate and decided that he would sacrifice himself. You can imagine it like this. Odium and Honor are in a tug of war, where the loser dies. They are 100% equal in all aspects. Honor knows this, so he dives across the line and trips Odium. Odium technically won, but now he is stumbling and weakened. This gives another being, or beings, a chance to stumble. Honor tripped Odium by trapping him. Harmony could defeat Odium in my opinion. Yes, he has two shards that oppose each other but they are only opposing when used for different goals. When they share a purpose they can create, destroy, or preserve, all with the power of two shards instead of one. There is a WoB out there that says that no Shard has inherently more power, it is simply the purpose of power that is different.

I’m confused. Do I rate the title of the person who last posted before me? Do I rate the title I am going to next get when I get enough reputation points? (Haven’t been getting many of those lately, haven’t been very active in the Shard, I have been doing school and reading Stormlight Archive for the 20 millionth time in preparation for RoW) -
@AonEne In the rules, it just says don’t post offensive or spammish things. Could it be clarified what “Spammish” is, and what counts as an actual post?

One of the Unmade is based around creation spren/Lightweavers. I think her name was the Midnight Mother, the one who was stuck in Urithiru. It may be a reference to that.

I actually didn’t like The Stormlight Archive at first. Now, I can fully appreciate and can answer any questions that are deeply Invested in the plot line. I haven’t read White Sands and never will, because of a prejudice against against comic books.

I think that guns aren’t popularized because they stand out, and are useless. In a world with swords that Sever the soul, or the ability to heal from any wound, or teleportation, or fly, or changing objects to other materials, or jumping between realms, or bending stone with your mind, or creating duplicate images or yourself, or creating an image of a wall, and there are shapeshifters, and dragons, and Gods, guns seem a little... useless.

So, Unity would be my top because that is 3 in 1. Harmony would be my second, for similar reasons. If I had to pick an individual shard that has been confirmed, I would go with Preservation. I like things to stay stagnant(As long as they are the way I like them)
