  1. I have an entire Kadash is a stoneward thread going. I think someone like Ialia or Taravangian is going to bond the Nightwatcher. I love the problems that this could cause and I wonder what their oaths will be(Unity does not make sense for her). Do you think that Nightwatcher's bondsmith can give boons like she can? I think Rock will be acclaimed king of the Horneaters. He did win a shardblade after all so it is only fair. The Horneaters need a king for the coming desolation and Rock would be an amazing king. I also think by the end of book 4 team radiant will have some kind of endgame figured out that they will try to implement in book 5 I hope it involves using Nightblood to permanently kill the fused. Perhaps getting it to Braize? Can the fused resist holding Nightblood?
  2. Perhaps they are in the same family as dragons like as related as humans are to other mammals?
  3. I am pretty sure that the Iriali have dragon ancestry.
  4. Perhaps powerful sandmasters can reverse this reaction rehydrating themselves or perhaps they move all the water in the lichin to make pools of it?
  5. Depends but he might actually not be. None signatories of the Geneva conventions are not always protected the same way and Tanalon was definitely not abiding by the rules.
  6. The faithful forces of Stick arrayed themselves for battle readying their weapons and making sure to cast fear from their hearts. Long would the poets sing of this great moment as these faithful sticks readied themselves for battle. The sticks knew that unity of action was their only chance so they had deciding on the old bent one as the leader of their war counsel and general of their united armies. The bent one had during his youth been struck such a blow by an outlaw that all thought he would die but the power of the stick flowed through him and made him hole enough to continue in his life as one. On this great day the high priest of the sticks blessed him and the power within him grew ever firmer.
  7. "Murder is a legal definition"(Jasnah Way of Kings)
  8. Hitler was responsible for Nazism and the society that did not blame people for the horrific acts committed during the Holocaust not the other way around.
  9. The beliefs that we can or can not truly blame Dalinar says more about us then it does about him but here goes. I don't think that Dalinar can move on or become a better person without accepting responsibility for his actions their. I do think that extenuating circumstances ie the thrill, his exhaustion, Sadeas's misinterpretation of his orders are extenuating circumstances. I also think that Sadeas's argument that doing this would save lives further down the road by discouraging more rebellions is probably accurate(if horrible and evil) and that the culture that Dalinar lived in would not condemn him for his actions(this is the same culture that made Dalinar embarrassed that he had not killed a child). Tanalon's actions were completely unjustifiable he set up and betrayed a man who was trying to help him and who he owed his life to. Yes that man had murdered his father but from what we know of him that same father would have condemned his son's actions. Tanalon betrayed his promises to Dalinar both real and implied and slaughtered men whose lives had been given to him as an act of trust I was disguised with the man. If Dalinar had rode in crushed his armies and chopped his head off with his fauther's blade after this I think most of us would have been fine with it. Still Dalinar's actions did result in the unnecessary death of an entire city's worth of people many of them innocent woman and children that is not something that I can just ignore and I do think that he bears some guilt for their deaths.
  10. You felt sorry for a murderous rapist in the first place?
  11. Only if your on Roshar it could also be of Ruin, or of the gods depending on your location.
  12. I personally think that Adonalsium was just the Cosmere big bang only instead of creating energy and matter it created investiture. As to your theory I dislike unnecessarily multiplying deities but "its turtles all the way down" has plenty of president as a theory.
  13. We know that the Heralds are not exactly right in the head at the moment. Most of them look like they are doing some form of the opposite of the divine virtues that they represent. Jezrien: Prior to his Oathbringer death Jezrien was the paragon of leadership. After his tortures he we see that is pretending to be a beggar and avoiding all responsibility. Nale: Nale is the Herald of Justice. After his tortures he becomes a mockery of what any reasonable person would call just instead he kills people while abiding by the letter of the law. Shalash: Shalash is the Herald of Beauty. Her nickname is Ash. She is the patron of artists and she now goes around destroying art. Talenel: Talenel is the Herald of War and a patron of soldiers but when we last saw him he was cowering in fear avoiding battle. Ishar: Ishar is the Herald of Priests and is supposed to embody the attributes of piety and guidance but according to the Stormfather he is actually a Godpreist of a kingdom that he is leading into war against his neighbor for no apparent reason. Battar: Batter is associated with the attributes Wisdom and Care but from what we can gather looking at Oathbringer she is a member of the diagram and has lead Taravangian into a reckless and somwhat drastic course of action. We do not know what the remaining Heralds are doing but given this shouldn't they also be in direct opposition to their previous roles? This is my guess as to what the others are doing. Chanarach: Chanarach is associated with the attributes Brave and Obedient. This leads me to the belief that she is living out her life as a fishermen or farmer completely ignoring the desolation. Vedel: Vedel is associated with the attributes Loving and Healing. This leads me to the belife that she is the Rosharn Riper who tries to heal others of the pain inside them. Pailiah: We actually know the Pailiah is in Kharbranth she is associated with the attributes Learned and Giving. This leads me to the belief that she is now a petty theif of some kind. Kalak: Kalek is associated attributes Resolute and Builder I think that he is likely become a politician the type that ignores everything takes bribes and does not care about getting anything done. What do the rest of you think the other Heralds have been doing?
  14. Rosharan history, and Rosharan magic.
  15. I have a theory that the Bondsmiths created Ryshadium and I definitely want one.
  16. I most likely explained poorly. When I said think of. I meant in the context of being able to give orders or keep track of what they are doing presently. For example while living away from a family member I may think of them but I would not factor them into my daily schedule or make plans including them.
  17. Perhaps they do not actually effect just the object's center of mass. Sanderson has revealed that it is theoretically possible to hover a coin above your hand just by pushing on it. So it is theoretically possible to effect an object on just one part of it.
  18. It could be that because Autonomy is in everything she feels that she is responsible for the sentience that allows self governance and thus already governs everything. If this is true then everyone who tries to do something she does not like is in opposition to her. You are correct that Dominion is probably more like what we understand as governance although Honor is understood to be the opposite of Autonomy(at least as I understand it).
  19. Perhaps, it is only a theory after all. However Sigzil's scientific tests cannot factor in emotional or internal responses that humans feel(most scientific tests are realy bad at accounting for emotion). Syl would have lost herself if she was out of Kaladin's mind. If Roshar were to gain phones do you think that a squire on the phone with Kaladin would be able use their powers?
  20. Perhaps Kaladin is coming back to get the king at this point so Lopen's powers activate. I also personally wonder if the squire's abilities are actually tied to distance as their connection to Kaladin is through the spiritual realm and should not matter. I have the theory that because Lopen is in Kaladin's mind and under his orders his powers might have an expanded range.
  21. I don't think that is quite true. Autonomy to the best of my knowledge has never cared about morality or helping people. I would also like to point out the autonomy can mean control. Autonomy. 1 : the quality or state of being self-governing. Perhaps Autonomy's interpretation makes it so that she wants to be the self in the definition? I do think you are on to something in that she wants to keep groups of people as independent of each other as possible.
  22. Or be an extremely complicated person. Perhaps if you had something like Shallahn's multiple personalities one of them could attract a different spren?
  23. Perhaps to restore a Deadeye the shardbearer who swears the oath must be similar in personality?
  24. I don't think it was a simple as this kingdom does this. No kingdom could exclusively do one thing and hope to survive. I think the 10 kingdoms were each modeled after a different set of ideals in the belief that their diversity would help them prevail through the desolations. Also this made them dependent on one another. If we do go with your theory then Natanatan would be the kingdom of builders.
