My personal theory (a bit aluminum foil I admit) is that Hoid is in fact the 17th shard. At least a piece of the original Adolansium perhaps a splinter of it who is going around trying to resemble some of what was destroyed.

We have also seen it with Elsecallers As much as I love the idea it would probably be better to just use division more as conservation of mass/energy/investiture is a thing. I have a similar idea. You got them to soulcast a large number of sharp crystals in the heat of battle and then use a reverse lashing so they fall to a spot near the enemy leaving them with a bunch of sharp pieces of glass embedded in them. A windrunner getting some force behind an edgedancer could be interesting. The edgedancer does not need to slow down so they could keep moving at full speed for as long as they have stormlight. Finally, I know this is not what we are all thinking but I think some mixture of Skybreaker, Lightweaver, and Edgedancer skillets would be perfect for criminal proceedings.

I know of only one time where Brandon has killed a couple and I do not think that that applies here. I do think that Taravangian himself will probably die as will either Kaladin or Sezth(but not both) I love Lift to much to consider her dying and I don't think that Sanderson is heartless enough to kill of Shallan and Adolin. Navani might die but I hope not. I think that at least one other Radiant will die in adition to Kaladin or Szeth but I am not sure which one maybe Venli. (He would totally make her extremely likable before doing so.)

Soulcasting a solid to a gas would create a lot of air that would expand rapidly like an explosion. Also the dying individual's soul could still be questioned.

The stormfather knows about him so it is possible that if Dalinar asks he could learn something but I do not think that he is paying enough attention to none military matters to ask.

The question was about something I knew was not cannon so I said that we could not give an answer. I still do not understand whether he was asking about before he left for dayside in which case I think the answer is pretty clearly no(numerous cheating) or weather he understands now that he should have loved her(could be a yes) or weather the question is asking if he does love her(I don't think so). If we are talking about the newsletter conversation I would say no although he probably feels guilty now.

Perhaps that is how the oathpact will be restarted? They take Nightblood with them to Braize and use him to kill fused there.

If you could be in one of Brandon's series which one would you want to be in and what would you want to do there? I would want to be in SA as a lightweaver and I would like to survive something impossible in an incredible fashion while doing something awesome(I have a penchant for the dramatic).

Lift, Jasnah, and Dalinar just because they are amazing. Shallan so I could ask to be her squire. Hoid because I want a story. Odium because I want some lessons in condescension(hopefully he wont kill me). Sadeas so I could push him off side of plateau. Ialia so I could ask her what it was like to love someone like that. Kaladin because he needs a hug and pattern because I love him.

From my understanding everyone knew Dalinar destroyed the rift he did not cover it up. He covered his motivations because he did not want it to interfere with his troops discipline or moral by making them think of themselves as the bad guys.

I agree with the above assessment. Luck might move you to a more favorable position over a long period of time but I doubt that it will allow you perfect marksmanship or anything like that. Great question to ask Brandon though.

Perhaps he simply used the foot access to Urithiru. We know their is one. His family could have used the Oathgates.
