  1. I found it interesting but I hope she gets over the inhuman plot line.
  2. I could agree to this.
  3. Actively killing all nobles not just the ones involved in governance. Yes it speeks to the fact that he has endured several decades of misrule and is quite naturally bitter about them. I imagine that when looking at something like what happened in Spook's city (forgot the name) he would stand against it which he did.
  4. Not wanting a noblemen in charge is not the same as desiring genocide
  5. But Vin did change his mind and he never said anything about every noble. Also in wars between nations and in most rebellions the enemy can be regarded as a separate class religiously or ethnically. This does not make all wars genocidal. Kelsier never bothered going after nobles for the crime of being noble so I do not think this qualifies.
  6. Genocide is intentional action to destroy a people (usually defined as an ethnic, national, racial, or religious group) in whole or in part. Kelsier wanted to overthrow the nobility as a political institution not on a racial bases otherwise why is he cool with killing skaa guards?
  7. At all? Ever?
  8. Perhaps it is a resonance that neither spren can achieve on their own?
  9. This is almost my theory but I thought it only applied to spren of the 5th ideal and that it took more then one spren to create a fabrial.
  10. The ancient lord stick shortwood convened the holy counsel of the pious sticks on behalf of the great stick church. Together they gathered their allies and planned their attack against their foes knowing that many monsters gathered to the side of the heretic.
  11. From what we have seen no shard is infallible, all powerful, all knowing, or all good and that includes Adonalsium. I personally would not accept any of them as god or worship them. From my understanding worshiping a god should benefit the worshiper and if that is not the case (as it is in Jasnah's) then she should not.
  12. Kelsier was himself half noble as were most of his people. Breeze was a full noble and I am fairly sure Kel knew. Kelsier also had no trouble killing Skaa who supported the regime. His motives were more political then ideological so I don't think he would have approved of killing all noblemen or at the vary least this was not his primary goal.
  13. We also know very little about the Vorin church's internal politics so it may be that a more radical conservative groups was behind Dalinar's excommunication(potentially members of the sons of honor?).
  14. Kelseir was trying to overthrow of regime not necessarily commit genocide. He considered all members of the regime to be enemy combatants (something I disagree with and most likely is morally reprehensible) but I do not know of any other way the final empire could have been overthrown.
  15. My point was that I don't actually know what he was saying as that statement can mean two different things depending on which he meant.
  16. In point of fact if Kel had wanted to he could have put on his mistborn clock killed him and left with the girl and their would have been no repercussions for anyone. So yes Kel did not have to force the Skaa to leave their homes. I personally have the odd view that being a sociopath is not necessarily bad. It does take all kinds after all and if Kel had not been a sociopath he would have died long before he could have accomplished his goals.
  17. Why are your theories so good!
  18. But hark the power of the tax shall not forever prevail for hear cometh the shard of lawyer to do battle against him. The rebellions of the faithful thus driven back by the force so powerful did not despair for the shard of Lawyers was both great in battle and in respectability And so the two sides prepared to clash once more gathering their allies to them
  19. Great name! @Truthless of Shinovar
  20. Join me brothers in arms cast forth this one. He has summoned the dread Shard Tax Collector's Union. Only through unity in this time of great strife can the faithful prevail!
  21. I still think that Rock will become king of his people.
  22. Yes! It would answer a pressing question and give 15 year old me's dream a chance! Fans everywhere could finally be satisfied.
  23. First of all tenses. Second we don't know as no canon conversation like in the newsletter is here yet.
