It is possible that Storms vary in strength. Additionally few things in homes are more fragile or valuable then human beings so it makes sense to use an extra layer of protection.

You can only lower your body heat so much. Cold blooded animals still die in fire.

It is but in the second WoB I assume that he is referring to the sleepless as a hole rather then an individual sleepless.

What if her next truth is "my parents did not love me even though I still love them." Shallan's mother tried to kill her, a fact that she suppressed. Shallan's father never pushed her. Shallan acts like this is out of love but in her flashbacks we can see him looking at what he assumes is her shardblade whenever he gets angry at her. What if her next step is admiting that he could not push her to far because he was afraid rather then because he loves her?

I know but when we talk about the sleepless I assume we are referring to the sleepless's government or overall philosophy as apposed to individual members.

If you read Edgedancer Aleco claims that the sleepless and the Radiants used to be allies. Either he is lying, your theory is wrong, or there are more then one group of sleepless. I cannot believe that Radiants would ally with the Set.

In Dalinar's vision Nohodon mentions shardbearrs and we are fairly sure the Radiant orders have not been founded formally yet.
-
Why would they teach them how to make bronze and then not expect them to field large armies. We also know from Dalinar's vision and Jasnah's later analysis that they lost technology each time so during earlier desolations they should have had that capacity. At the level of power you seem to think these guys had I challenge you to find one who could not kill 6 thunderclasts with an accompaniment of 50 fused. Some of these people can cross Roshar in a day. You can't gather and equip a large army within that timeframe. Yes it would be nasty if a thunderclast showed up but other then that the fused can be killed by a bunch of iron age soldiers without much trouble. Or you could use cohesion to tern the ground into a liquid form and prevent the thunderclast from moving. We still have not seen what you can do with transportation.

1. Why does it matter. 2. Hoid is capable of throwing with perfect accuracy. He got this form the Kadelshy magic system.

I don't. Most of the intent combinations I can think of give something fairly nasty not unity.

a dilemma on the better thematical naming
Karger replied to king of nowhere's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Make up your own names its better that way. Yolen for example is named for Jane Yolen a si-fi author. -
According to the histories pre desolation mankind had access to greater resources then modern Roshar and was capable of fielding large armies. The ancient fused also seem to have the same kind of power and its not like a Kaladin has that much trouble with them. If they were that powerful then why where the desolations so bad? Its not like the fused of thunderclasts have comperable power. Kelek apparently has been killed by a thunderclast yet according to your beliefs his power level should let him turn the entire battlefield into mush so exactly how is a thunderclast going to get close?

We have implication. Metalminds can be melted ntdfbladez (paraphrased) If a metalmind is melted down and changes shape, does it still retain its power? Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased) Yes, only by mixing it with other metals would the power be completely lost. Also if any pieces of the metalmind are lost, then some of the power will be lost (as it would be in the missing pieces). And they do suffer ordinary where and tear. Let's say half-canon. Wear and tear being used as metalminds, not counting clasping them on and things like that. Simply tapping or taking out? I would say no, but I would really have to think about that. Are we losing any particles to the transfer, the change? I don't think you are, but I don't know. I'd have to really dig into the physics of that. I had not even considered of that. There are ramifications of things...So I'm going to say no, half-canon. I can see no reason why they would not degrade chemically as well.
-
A bunch of people think Dalinar either has already ascended(briefly when swearing the third ideal) or will ascend at some point in the future.
-
Metalminds do corrode and degrade over time.
-
Perhaps there is an actual rhythm of war that can be attuned?
-
Although we do know that the physical properties of invested objects are slightly different from there univested counterparts(infused gemstones weigh more due to conservation of mass for example) we have no evidence that any chemical change results. Why on earth would you think that investing a metal would alter it chemically?

No Thoughtful Spurts If tapping heat means your own body gets hotter, does it also mean you become immune to hot temperatures so long as you're tapping it, or should you fill heat and grow colder for that to happen? Brandon Sanderson As everything in Feruchemy, you become immune to the effects of the ability only. Like weight doesn't crush you, but at the same time doesn't have a net gain in strength. Growing colder, however, would be more helpful in this regard. The fire would still burn you.

A useless. A- aluminum+ F-bronze

That makes sense I suppose. Nightblood is so heavily invested that he can hit your cognitive spiritual and physical self simultaneously.

You know this how? Remember compounding strength can get you to be like a hundred times as strong as you are normally. Are you saying that the Heralds could do 400 lashings around a large area(4 times gravity is about what you need to prevent a person from moving)? Cause if so I have serious questions about why the Heralds need help during the desolations.
-
A bit but if you can keep the surge going for a couple seconds after the highstorm passes you should be able to fix most of the changes. Also possible.
-
There is a WoB that essentially says yes. Do it during a highstorm.

What have you read so far? Also Hello and welcome
