  1. Because the laws of thermodynamics which do exist in the cosmere say that they are wrong.
  2. Listener spirit webs are likely incredibly strange.
  3. That is in world knowledge and is probably unreliable. If they work for a few centuries or millennia I doubt anyone knows or cares because functionally they are perfect. However I do not believe that you can hold an object in a higher energy state without increasing entropy indefinitely.
  4. This is why I don't think this theory works.
  5. Welcome!
  6. The second law of thermodynamics says that the entropy of any isolated system always increases. While perfect gemstones are quite good at holding stormlight or spren they are not actually perfect. No perfect system of that kind can exist in nature. I believe brandon acknowledged that stormlight will eventually leek out of the king's drop it would just not be for many many years.
  7. A full feruchmist could store and then tap nicrosil in order to get better at tapping or storing for a short while. However it is not realy good for anything if their are not already other power systems. You can store breaths in basically anything so I imagine so. I see no reason why you could not store pure stormlight in a separate metalmind. If you can it would leak as determined by the laws of the thermodynamics.
  8. Hoid as a lawyer. Shudders.
  9. Well he is a shard so he is omnipresent in certain ways but Honor and Cultivation sealed him on Braize. It is the Heralds that are bound to the Rosharan system.
  10. As Bigmikey said. Odium has several thousand fused that are kind of his Herald counterparts. Why would he want another one who he would have trouble integrating into the rest of his human hating army?
  11. Several people live for a few days or weeks with burned out arms so I imagine no. I personally like to think of the damage caused by blades as analogous to nerve damage that does nothing else. You can't feel or move the arm or leg but it still has blood pumping through it.
  12. I think much the same. I would also add that the thrill confers a sense of invincibility that while useful in some types of combat(not knowing when to quit is often a major advantage) is an extremely dangerous state for a human to be in.
  13. I believe he is speaking of Sadeas's ridiculously reckless behavior patterns immediately prior to his death. Pushing Adolin to the edge and then confronting him in a corridor and insulting him for example.
  14. What about his voidspren. He uses Honor's investiture to bind them to singers. Also he is bound to Braize not Roshar.
  15. My understanding is that Endowment's breath investiture was converted to Ruin's by Shashara's intent during the awakening procedure. While everything is connected to everything else mere connection to something does not always affect you in the way your thinking of. Also if that was how this worked then wouldn't Odium by corrupted by Honor and Cultivation due to the several times he has connected with their magic systems?
  16. That is actually not my issue. When you first read Alloy of Law you feel star wars prequel for a while. What is this author doing trapping over my beloved series for? This is not what the Mistborn series is about! After a while you let that go and recognize the series's brilliance but you have to weather the initial shock first and let go of your preconceived notions about what the series should be. The star wars prequels are inherently bad while Alloy of Law is inherently good but the jolt is still their in both cases. Star wars just never recovers.
  17. Yes. You would also get some radiant abilities from them if you were on Roshar.
  18. I am not commenting on your theory I am commenting on the genocide against none teris theory. I already said that your theory makes sense(in an aluminum foil hat sort of way). Saze is defiantly not human and while he can make mistakes viewing him as "prone to mistakes" or "minor entity" are overstatements. That is all I am saying.
  19. You mean a Cognetive shadow. I suppose that is possible but I don't see what Evi would be doing hanging out in Shadesmar all this time. He could still talk to her ideal or her memory. Something is strange about the Rosharan dead. Szeth should not hear voices and then Dalinar also talks with Nohodon. I think he is talking to a construct of them like Shallan's lightweavings.
  20. So wait. The are the leaders of a conspiracy that they did not even start? I have a hard time believing that worldhopers would just show up and grant a group of radicals a bunch of info and then leave. They clearly want something. It states that Saze is fallible not they he is a minor entity. They don't like alomancy in the village or the mixing of bloodlines. That does not mean that they want to kill all alomancers. They have legitimate reasons why they don't want that.
  21. Anytime. Just say when.
  22. I played briefly.
  23. (On behave of everyone)Of course.
