I do not think that Kaza who is in the last stages of soulcasting savantism is a typical example.

Soulcasters are not hard to use. You tap the right stone and visualize what you want. Same as shardbaldes. The Parshendi have some of those as well. Soulcasters for grain exist. This is how the plains feeds itself(for the most part). The parshendi also need to get food somehow and we know it is tied to their ability to get new gemhearts. These gemhearts are prized by the Alethi because they can be used to make food. With a soulcaster. We know of literally no other method by which gemstones are a unreusable resource. Is another method possible. Sure. Does that meen we should speculate the existence of a new method? Probably not. I can say with confidence that soulcasting is the only answer we currently have. I will not knock the possibility of another answer but it fits the facts with no discrepancies and we don't currently have another possibility that makes any sense. The forms are interesting. I can also say with confidence that as of the war with the Alethi the Parshendi only had 5 forms(workform, slaveform, warform, needleform, and mateform) and did not yet know how to create fabrials. A form that grants a surge almost certainly would be a form of power. The singers lost those ages ago.

Giving powers to Spook was a thank you gift for helping get his faith back as well as other things(secret history). He had no real reason to give powers to the Terris. Maybe maybe not. We don't really know how it works. He really has no better options. Also Harmony is not the same as Saze. It would actually be more accurate to say(at least at the moment) that Saze is riding Harmony.

I am actually with Sigzil. The Parshendi must have soulcasters. It is the only way the gemstones would get used up as opposed to just being used forever.

1st congratulations on your first post. Secondly, I would imagine that Nalthis has an infinite number of anomalies some of which are not related to each other. A moon's worth of investiture seems like a bit much... Also it is still there so it can't have been put inside Nightblood. Edgil is basically a god. I don't think there is much she can't do. I also don't think she would need to drain a moon to awaken. Wouldn't destroying a moon cause problems? Sure Edgli could compansate being a god and all but why not give investature from her body if she needed to? I also don't see why she would need to as Glorysinger got the necessary 1000 breaths to make Nightblood herself.
