  1. Isn't it? We knew the nature of every single magic system, exactly how many metals there were, how the atium ended up where it was, how TRL did his thing and the end state of the entire world. What were we missing?
  2. Everything with BoM's creation, information on southern scadrial, an explanation as to how those medalions work, who was doing what when the BoM were handed over, why Wax's splitting experiment worked differently, whats up with Harmony and Kelseir, what are the GBs planning for their next move, is Shai going to be OK, and where did that dor come from for starters.
  3. The one flaw in that theory seems to be that Daal isn't actually surprised. He feigns ignorance but if Steris is correct then he expected them to be drained. He would also need to be a GB agent and I don't really see him as the type Kelseir would recruit. Too prideful and no sense of humor.
  4. Maybe he has an era 2.5 series in the works? A series of short stories from the perspective of the south's government? Alternatively its planed as a group of flashbacks with era three structured sort of like stormlight?
  5. Agreed. I can't help feeling like a sequel is in the works. So many unanswered questions...
  6. I'm weird so I actually find the idea of Harmony as discord making perfect sense. discord noun dis·cord ˈdi-ˌskȯrd 1 a : lack of agreement or harmony (as between persons, things, or ideas) … must we fall into the jabber and babel of discord while victory is still unattained? Sir Winston Churchill Harmony's intent is to maximize disunity. That is great for people(like me) who cherish free will but problematic for anyone who wants to get stuff done. Its difficult to accomplish things alone. For every push Harmony will pull. This is per both intents. He wants things to stay the same but at the same time doesn't want things to stay together. He is basically the second law of thermodynamics. The entropy of an isolated system never decreases: in equilibrium, the entropy stays the same; otherwise the entropy increases until equilibrium is reached.
  7. This is a kind of dumb answer but maybe the difference just comes down to expertise? Wax is far more competent with pushing then Vin is. The other possibility is his feruchemical abilities. He can make himself more durable by tapping iron and increase his speed once that is released per the conservative of momentum.
  8. I don't know. The bands seem exactly Kelseir's style. I don't follow. Harmony said he wouldn't do that anymore. The admiral doesn't accept a lot of the information we take as factual. Also Kelseir would have some words about that.
  9. Welcome to the shard. However when would he have done that? I mean he didn't think they were impartial. So if they knew then they would have been able to make their own.
  10. They were activated first. Could the draining process only begin if they aren't recharged after use?
  11. I'm not sure how likely another Kandra traitor is. I'm currently thinking that some process drained the bands naturally. He may have been working with Autonomy but that seems incidental.
  12. You are of course assuming that Harmony wants the deadlock broken. Its debatable that the shards generally have done a lot of good by being active in the first place. I also don't think that messing with Harmony would be that easy. Investiture resists investiture. Finally the more active the intent is the less Sazed himself would be in control of his own mind an actions. I'm not sure that is a good thing.
  13. Wax is already on the older side. He probably won't be around in era three or if he is it will be as a retiree.
  14. This is just a guess but maybe its the fact that he didn't try and push or pull? He just burned. His personality might have helped as well. Autonomy likes him after all. Basically the lack of intent might have made the difference this time since Autonomy's metal would reject anyone trying to impose will over it. Magnetism and gravity can have the same kind of effect on an object if you look at them under the right conditions. However only one of those forces will apply a charge to a metal object. Just because what happens looks similar does not make it the same.
  15. Before the experiment Wax burns metal and sees how the Trellium reacts(pushing itself away). Atium at least is a replaceable byproduct of the reaction. I touch on it in this theory but basically the only difference might be that the separated investitures are unstable and Wax somehow altered that so the byproducts were a bit more stable.
  16. My best guess is that the explosion is the result of Ruin and Preservation being fully separated and smashed into each other. The entire process seems somewhat reminiscent of a matter antimatter reaction but IMO it may actually be closer to fusion. The way I see it the intent of the shard Harmony forces the two intents of Ruin and Preservation to exist in balance with each other. IE if you split them apart they will try and force themselves back together per their intent. The thing is(as we know from era 1), they really don't like each other. Combining them together with force is destructive enough to end a god. The only noticeable difference as far as I can tell is that Wax burned metal at the time.
  17. Many years ago I believe I complained about no one using electrum or gold and nicrosil for spiritual realm studies. A simple way to see the future on a cosmic scale and even stockbrokers aren't using it. Sigh.

    Where Is It?

I'm fairly certain you'll find they are all one way(physical to cognitive) unless a perpendicularity is involved. Purified Dor is extremely valuable and likely quite dangerous to acquire Cosmere spoiler .That is why it required Kelseir's direct authorization to use it. You also probably need orders of magnitude more to actually make a perpendicularity of significant size.
  19. I believe it was Autonomy's although I can't find the relevant quote.
  20. It will return to the relevant shards through the spiritual realm. The exact mechanics of how it works are still a bit fuzzy but assuming it was her investiture it will return to autonomy just like how the atium will return to Ruin(although Ruin and Preservation are now one).

    Where Is It?

Its unclear what is going on with Kelseir but if you read the wider cosmere you will learn more about realmatic transition.

    Where Is It?

This bridges towards wider cosmere spoilers but getting from the CR takes far more work then getting back. You need a perpendicularity to manage it. Otherwise every shardworld would be subject to invasion by every other. Remember how in TLM they needed to create a perpendicularity? If a simple device was enough they would have no need to bother getting all that investiture together.

    Where Is It?

How would they get back? Its much easier to go to the CR then from it.
  24. Welcome
  25. I believe so yes. If a mistborn burns lerasium they become a stronger mistborn for example. Vin also became stedily stronger as she drew on more and more of the mists. I forgot to add this to my OP but does anyone have any guesses about future godmetal properties? I'm thinking Whimsy's is going to be kind of mercurial but I'm trying to decide if I expect Valor's to be flammable or inert. Then of course there is ingenuity...
