Shana waited until they were out of sight and then kissed him, happy that she was here with him.

    Alright, sounds good.

Ben kissed Shana again, his hands resting on her waist. Shana answered the kiss, her arms wrapped around him. Faintly he could hear the music, laughter, but for nothing in the world would he go back inside. Not when the alternative was standing outside in a quiet corner, kissing Shana. Suddenly she pulled away, turning her head to the side, ending the beautiful moment.

    “What’s wrong?”

He asked, searching for what had disturbed her. He kept getting distracted by how pretty she looked in that green dress.

“Steps. I don’t know. Mahad thinks something is off.”

She said, touching her small purse. She didn’t have her usual bag of spheres with her. He heard the sound of careful footsteps coming closer. Ben’s eyes widened as he saw human-like figures coming towards them, their eyes glowing an eerie red. He instinctively took a step backwards, reaching for the few spheres he had stashed in his suit pocket. Quite a few of them were dun. He shouldn’t have been so frivolous, using so many to let them sneak out of prom and play pranks. He held them in his fist, watching it glow with a weak light. He didn’t have nearly enough to fully heal any serious injuries.

    “What do we do?”

    He asked.

    “I don’t know.”

    Shana whispered back.

“We need to call for help, can you create something?”

Shana took a step forward, in front of him, although the Voidbringers formed a half circle, slowly moved towards them and the wall at their back. They were trapped. He backed up until he was touching the wall, reluctant to use what little stormlight he had.

"Hand over your spheres and come with us. If you cooperate I won't hurt your little girlfriend here."

Their leader spoke. It's voice was deep and cold. It's eyes darted to Ben while extending its hand. He realized that if they didn’t get help, what little stormlight he had wouldn’t make a difference. Taking a deep breath, he inhaled it all. It wasn’t even enough to make him glow brighter than the flame of a dying candle. He focused, imagining an image of himself running to the Radiants in the gym. A version of himself so translucent and indistinct it could have been a ghost burst from him. He attached it to Glint with a message.

    ”Help.”

It was all he could do with his limited resources. The Voidbringer rushed towards Shana, suddenly holding a knife in his hand. She barely evaded the attack and hastily inhaled. A faint glow covered her skin and she reached out for the Voidbringer, touching his arm. A heartbeat later the Voidbringer fell to the ground, nothing more than a blackened body. But the one leading the attack only laughed and gestured for two others to approach her, and capture her. Meanwhile two others neared Ben, no weapons in their hands, not yet at least.

    "That was a mistake, boy."

One of them drawled, his face drawn in a mean grin.

    "Last chance, give up."

Ben couldn’t summon Glint as a Shardblade. He was busy getting help. Help that likely would never arrive in time. Ben quickly ran through his limited options in his head. He didn’t have stormlight, a weapon, or any other way of defending himself. Shana was already out of stormlight, and seemed like she was about to be overrun. Ben only had his weak, useless self. He regretted not training harder, getting more fit. He had been relying on stormlight far too much, and now it was coming back to bite him. He slowly started to raise his hands in a gesture of surrender. Then he launched himself as quickly as possible in the direction of a Voidbringer that was reaching for Shana, tackling him to the ground to give her a moment to collect herself and have enough time to prepare an attack. She took the opportunity, slamming her fist into the face of the one before her, grabbing his blade. Fiercly she stabbed at the Voidbringer, once, twice until blood covered her hand, her dress. Backing up, she moved closer to Ben. The Voidbringer he had tackled rolled to the side. Those that had tried to corner Ben closed on him, their faces drawn back in an inhuman snarl. They pulled out weapons, tried to get a grip on him, to throw him to the ground. Ben stood up and stepped towards Shana, planning on trying to shove some nearby Voidbringers away so she could have room to fight. The cuts on her hands looked serious, and he didn’t want her to get hurt anymore. This turned his back to the Voidbringers closing in on him. One behind him lunged forwards, digging his blade into Ben’s side. He collapsed as he felt a burning pain tear through him, blood seeping through his white shirt. He stared at the wound in shock. He had been stabbed. It took a while for that fact to circulate through his brain. In fact, it took him a while to think anything.

    “Ben!”

He heard Shana scream as she tried to rush to his side. A Voidbringer grabbed her arm, then another one was there, wrapped an arm around her waist. She groaned, struggled against them, but they were too many, their grip too strong. The leader watched her, then gestured for two of them to kneel down next to Ben, secure him as well.

"And now you will come with us."

"Bind them. Chain her to him, she won't risk her lover."

    His hand lifted Shana's chain.

"One wrong move little Dustbringer and you're chained to a corpse."

Ben felt the Voidbringers chain him to Shana, barely conscious. The chains felt oddly distant, yet still very heavy. He wanted to struggle, to fight, but it took all of his effort to keep his eyes open. He tried to tell Shana that everything was going to be ok, that they were going to get out of it somehow, but all that came out was a moan. Blood had begun to pool on the ground. It didn’t register to him that the blood was his until his looked back at his wound. Shana pulled him close, and pressed a hand against his wound in an attempt to staunch the bleeding. That was good, but wouldn’t last long as an effective solution. He again tried to speak to Shana, but he couldn’t get his mouth to move. A Voidbringer walked over and pulled Ben to his feet, sending a new stab of pain through his side. Moving the wound was a very bad idea, but he couldn’t stop himself from being moved. Shana followed, stayed by his side, not breaking contact. They were led away to a van, where they placed him inside. Shana scrambled in after him and the door was closed, leaving them in darkness, alone with three of the creatures. Shana ripped off a part of her dress and tied it around him as an improvised bandage. That stopped lots of the blood, which was good. He felt bad that she had to rip up her dress, though. He thought that he heard her say his name over and over again, but it was hard to tell in the darkness and everything was slowly becoming more blurry. Eventually he blacked out, the pain and blood loss too much for him.

Glint felt a great hurt from Ben. He almost faltered, returned to him so he could fight. But he stayed his course, flying to the gym as fast as possible. He knew that there were far too many Voidbringers for them to try and overtake them. Their only hope was to get help from others. He zoomed up to Flid and Leona. The illusion played out, along with Ben’s message.

    “Help.”

    ====================

Mahad swirled nervously around Shana, watching her try and fix Ben’s wound. It looked bad. Really bad. He didn’t want to think about what losing Ben would do to Shana. The van started moving. Had Glint been unable to get help in time? Glint didn’t speak to people other than Ben. That would be a problem. How could he tell the other Radiants exactly where to find them? He got an idea. But it would make him leave Shana. He didn’t want to do that. But what other choice did he have?

“Shana, I am going to go get help.”

Mahad rushed away, not bothering with physics and passing straight through the side of the car. He made a beeline for the gym, where he found Glint pulsing wildly next to Flid and Leona. He flew up right in front of their faces.

“Ben and Shana have been captured by Voidbringers!”

At the lowest level of the sea an ancient evil lay in wait, it eyes turn to dust its enemies. The storms churn at its command and it destroys any who dare enter its realm. Be they man or beast their fate is the same.  In his presence, there is no courage only primal fear, but he knows no fear for so great is his power. At last his foe approaches from the east, he rises destroying all until he towers above the icy waves. His dark power flies towards his adversary but it barely affects his eternal foe, His enemy strikes him with beams of light and for the first time in his long existence he cowers and fades away forevermore.

Why did I read that in the voice of the guy who reads the narrative in the background of Thriller?

Shana couldn't help herself and laughed out loud. The puppies were great. Others turned around as well and the boy turned a crimson red, pulled his pants up again.

    "Good job."

She whispered to Ben, while their victim stumbled out of the gym.

"But maybe we should stop, head outside?"

    “Sounds good.”

Ben stood up and offered Shana his hand, leading her outside. Sucking in quite a bit of stormlight when no one was looking, he wove an illusion to cover up their exit, blending them in with the wall.

I will not have access to the internet for about a week in a couple of days, so I’d prefer the plot to be started sooner rather than later. I don’t wanna mess up anyone else’s conversations with it, though, as it definitely will interrupt them. Is everyone else ok with plot that will end the normal (non Radiant/voidbringer related stuff) parts of prom or should I wait a while?

    "Let's go."

Shana slickened the pants and the belts, grinned when she saw them fall to the ground.

As soon as the pants began to move, the illusion covered the guy’s actual underwear. Which now was covered in puppies inside of hearts and had the words “We looove friendship!” and “Best friends 4evar!” on it.

  5. 12 minutes ago, Sorana said:

"Puppy dog pals is a great idea. With red hearts around them, please."

She inhaled more stormlight and focused on his belt and the pants.

    "Are you ready, my lord?"

    She joked.

    “Most definitely.”

He replied, readying the requested illusion.

Shana made a video of the boy, how he slapped at himself, and ran around, placed a cartoon flower over the spider and posted it online. Her amount of followers wasn't extraordinairily large, but being good at sports ensured some kind of popularity. At least enough, that usually people didn't make fun of her.

"He'll be forever known as the guy afraid of a flower."

    She grinned.

    "Next target."

    Her eyes sweeped the room.

"The guy over there. I heard him make fun of Rob, because of his demeanour. Wanna see his pants on the floor?"

    Ben grinned.

”Sounds wonderful. What sort of underwear would you like him to be wearing, m’lady? Superman? Puppy dog pals, perhaps?”

  7. Just now, Sorana said:

"How has made fun of you?"

She asked and looked through the room.

    "That person just got lucky."

Ben immediately looked towards a guy standing in the middle of a large group of people. It kinda looked like he was holding court. That boy had filled his locker with shaving cream, stolen his homework, and was one of the reasons his glasses used to break so often. The spider raced towards him, crawling up his leg and onto his arm. When he noticed it he squealed, slapping at himself and running around. Ben made the spider disappear before anyone else could see it.

  8. 5 minutes ago, Sorana said:

"A bit. But it's so cool."

    Shana laughed.

"They will squirm when they see it."

Ben smiled and shrunk it down slightly to a more reasonable size, then set it on the floor.

“Who should I send it to?”
