  1. Everything makes sense now... Harry Potter was the introduction to the magical world and nifflers. Crimes of Grindlewald is starting to actually show us the nifflers a little more, and establish what they can do, and how amazing they are. Next, we can expect to see a story from a niffler POV... Of course, we can expect 7 books and 8 movies from each story. Oh, and do you know the play "Puffs"? It is the story of Harry Potter from the Hufflepuff perspective... We need the same thing from nifflers now too!!!!!!!! (My mother is obsessed with Harry Potter...)
  2. My favorite is still the one for Devotary. : )
  3. Don't worry CadCom, I didn't find you suspicious! : P In all seriousness, more than anything, I found your statement about you possibly defending me suspicious... Though I wasn't going to push your lynch, as that statement could have gotten you lynched if I ever was... My playstyle in these games is much more along the lines of, try to do as much as possible to assume everyone is a villager (Or at least give that appearance publically). Then pick the ones I find hardest to do that with (Ark, Xino and Bard this game) and try to go after them... Unfortunately, this was what ended up getting me caught by Orlok soooo.... I think I may need to try to change my natural playstyle... I used pretty much that system in LG49, and it seemed to work decently for me... Though perhaps I just got lucky. : ) Edit: Wow, Ookla season is already getting chaotic to read threads... (Thanks Ookla the Rogue, for changing your title. : ) )
  4. I am so confused... This was the notification I got for your message...
  5. I hate Star Wars the original trilogy and love the prequals … Wait, before anyone comments, this is because I think they are both awful (script/editing/etc.) Luke in one scene even calls Leia "Carrie" (The name of the actress that played her) The reason why I like the prequals is because they have a better story than SWtOT. It shows the good guy turning evil, which is a story many people don't tell. How it is written is poor, but if you look past that... I share this sentiment. I also hate Ron, and don't think Hermione is well developed as she should not be smarter than every single Ravenclaw I probably like Neville most though. Fred and Snape are tied at second I think for me...
  6. Posting on this thread is kind of pointless, as the act of posting brings it back for everyone to see, reminding them to post as well... So in theory, there probably wont ever be a winner (in our lifetimes), as the winner can only be declared after this thread can no longer be posted onto. That will likely be either if the site goes down, or when the sun explodes... So once that happens, then we can declare a winner... Good luck to staying alive that long...
  7. I just finished reading the house docs... Was I the only person in this game to advise their house to ignore the house victory? I figured that the entire existance of the house victory was a trap for the spiked to fall into, as prioritising the house victory, means assassinating other people, and praising the house. Which takes the priority away from assassinating the most suspicious and Praising people you have cleared... "Oh Glorious lord of the DA, I am sorry as I have failed you. My recent detection and capture in Elendel has set your plans requiring a large fortune back significa... Wait, perhaps I should say this in PMs so others can't read this..." ; ) edit: Thanks for clarifying... I hadn't checked, and thought you were Voidus. To actually answer your question, now knowing you are Ark, you should notice that Gancho and I, the two truly pushing for your lynch, were spiked. Beyond that, you spent a lot of time on the shard, and when asked questions, you consistently only half answered them. When I PMed you, the main purpose was to confirm/deny my suspicions that you were the coinshot, not to figure out if you were spiked or not.
  8. On mobile, so I won't quote, but I third the statement of the writeups being wonderful! When Elandera died, I was so disapointed as I worked so hard to try to get her to trust me... Though in retrospect, I think I tried too hard to sound like a villager in there, and she probably would have caught me even sooner than Orlok did sooo... I also apperantly have a habit of getting really defensive when targeted. Honestly, this is something I would have done as a village as well, though that is because I always considered not lynching a villager as something that helps solve the game as well. Though, statistically apperantly it isn't the case. Congratulations to Araris for becoming the next Lord Heron, but just as much to Orlok, who somehow found all the spiked turn 5. (Though I still think that "spiked" thing was NAI. : ) ) I completly started freaking out when Orlok started pressuring me in PMs about being an elim. I wasnt sure how to respond, as if I was a village I would say similar things as if I was an elim. I wrote a really long PM response to Orlok, in the hope that either he would tell someone, who would say that as Orlok was murdered, I wouldnt waste that much time on the PM if I knew that he was going to die, or so I could be lynched by Bard. But it was a long shot regardless. : ) @Rathmaskal yeah, we were decently convinced there would be 1 large house, not 2 tiny ones... Though we did consider it n1 I think. Also, I wish I knew I was a coinshot... That would have made this game much easier for us... : )
  9. Assuming only one spiked remaining, and assuming that the spiked kills Nohadon tonight, we still have 3 mislynches before we lose, which at this point 3 mislynches seems like a lot of leeway to me. And if either Rath or Nohadon is alive at the end of the game, it is impossible for the spiked to win. Looking at the people confirmed elims: (Not Meta, people have already done him) C1: C2: C3: C4: C5: C6: I want to point out, Coop was attacked N5. This is something I don't understand as they have been inactive all game. Perhaps they have been active in PMs, but if they have been, I never corresponded with them. If they had targetted, say, Orlok as they had called them out as spiked, with just 4 spiked, Jondesu being a Rioter, they could have taken the game, Rioting Araris's vote. I think Shqueeves, and Rath are cleared from Bard's flip. I can't think of why Coop would have been attacked though. My best guess is that the last spiked is an inactive player, and the elims did the math wrong as to how many people could be alive for them to outvote the villagers. I am pretty much resigned to getting coinshot and lynched this next cycle. Though, If I am correct, then It doesn't matter, as we have a ton of time. And if I am wrong, I think there will still be 1 more mislynch the village can afford before catching the elim. So far, there seems to have been 2 of the Soother, Rioter, and Tineye roles, I would not be surprised if there was another Lurcher. If there is, just make sure you are Lurching either Nohadon or Rath, as worst case scenario, if there are only 2 players left alive at the end of the game, if one is elim, and the other is vote manip or coinshot, we will win.
  10. Yes, it is just slightly different views on how to solve the game. the language in Bard's posts feel a bit weird to me. Stating things that we already know as if they are new is the weird thing to me. I think the original post of returning and stating a lot of false information is likely due to being gone for a while, and not rereading the thread before posting. Bard / Araris
  11. Sorry, I really needed a break from thinking about SE yesterday. Nohadon, I understand that Orlok said you should lynch me. However, he never gave any reasons to be suspicious of me, he just said he was. Please feel free to analyse me, and then vote, but just choosing someone because Orlok was suspicious of them, for no reason, is counter intuitive. I believe I have addressed all of these things before. I would apreciate it if you go back and read some of my previous posts. Something I realized while PMing Orlok last night, was that you may all find it suspicious that I am defending myself rather than attacking other players. It is a mindset thing. I have been focused on who can I trust in this game, and have tried to similarly make myself trustworthy, instead of making other people more suspicious than me. Does basically the same thing, but a different approach. I am going to edit in my vote in 10ish minutes. Once I have time to read over a couple posts in the thread. Though I think I know who I am going to vote for.
  12. +1 from me. I am on mobile, so this post is really just going to be some general thoughts. Xino - I don't know exactly what to think. He only posted 4 times I think? Post 1) says doesnt have time, 2) doesn't have time, 3) says he is suspicious of Orlok (who had just posted "Condemnation of Meta™"), and doesnt have time, 3) joined bandwagon on Meta and said he didnt have time. I dont think any of this strange for someone who doesnt have time. The only thing I do find is strange about Xino, is that in every turn which I have been active, he has been following the thread, usually pretty soon after rollover. This implies to me that they may be reading the thread more than they are implying, however, I dont know if I would want to lynch someone over that alone. I would have to think more on that. I don't have time to look at Bard's posts. But from what I remember, his first one back had lots of false information, and the second sounded a bit strange to me. (Though the first post I think probably is excusable) I would promt bard, but as I havent reread his post, I dont know what to promt him about... I will do that in a couple hours.
  13. I like how you say "edit: ninja'd", but didnt actually edit your post. : )
  14. Its getting pretty late in the cycle, so I am going to make this quick. Hmm, looking back at the thread, I think both Xino and Goncho look suspicious, though I didnt have time to document any of that... So I guess I will just vote on Gancho to prevent vote manipulation. Gancho/Callsign: Leviathan / Araris Araris, because he has not been going after me for using the word spiked. I also just realized why Orlok thought using the word spiked was suspicious, but I am pretty sure if there was a seeker, then they would see the word spiked or noble, not village or elim. Like Araris said. Ninja'd Rathmaskal.
  15. Though that is quite interesting that the people using the term "spiked" matches Orlok's suspicions, this obviously isn't alignment indicative. If fact, I don't think this term would mean anything relevant to the discussion at all. The reason I think this is: [Player name]: [Uses of term in-game]/[uses of term in-rp] Fifth: 0/1 Devotary: 3/2 Meta: 0/1 Young Bard: 1/0 Fura: 16/0 (including day 6) Gancho: 1/0 Ark: 1/0 Jondesu: 1/0 8 people in this game have used this turn. The only people standing out with how they use the term are myself and Devotary. Devotary I think is extra significant as all of their uses of the term happened in cycle 1. My last point is that Wyrm has used this term 13 times for discussing rules, and 7 times for RP. What is my point with that? It is the official term used for the elims this game. That is why I have been using it, which should explain why I used it so much. In the absence of actually RPing, it feels much more like I am in character if I use the world terminology. It is something I find fun. If you are to look through every PM, doc post, and in-thread post I have done, you should notice I have slowly been shifting from using the term "spiked" to using elim when talking about the group of spiked/elims in general. I have been doing this (at least in my head) to try and use the same terminology as the rest of the players in this game, as that will make rereading, and finding things in-thread much easier. I didn't mean to write this much on this, but if I am lynched for no better reason than I used the term "spiked"... A lot... I will be pretty frustrated. As for my questions, I looked through each question I asked in-doc: (put in a spoiler for length) I asked 16 questions total. Exactly 8 were game related. If any of you are concerned with how many questions I asked for no other reason than because the doc was silent, feel free to look through the docs of LG49 (Women, Unused Guest Room, Secret Societies, & Art Gallery), where I did the exact same thing. I like discussion. As for the game related questions, 5, 9, and 16 were questions because I was confused as to something someone else said. 10 wasn't a question, but a statement in question form. 11, 12 was to figure out if I should trust Araris at that point in the game. 14, 15 I explained well enough already.
  16. I have an essay due Monday night which will be taking up most of my time this cycle. Rathmaskal, I think based on voting knowledge, it would be rather strange for someone to call you a Rioter, as, if anything, you are probably a Soother. (Though that could have been someone else trying to make you appear to be a Soother, which would be strange...) Honestly, I don't think this necessarily clears Rathmaskal, but I think he isn't the priority. There are four possibilities for the Tineye statement: 1. Tineye - Village | Rath - Village -- I suppose this is possible... The Tineye would not be in contact with the Seeker. This post would be purely because they suspect Rath so much that they are willing to lie about Rath to try and get him lynched. I doubt the Tineye would claim, as if people know they lied, they would probably be lynched. This would also mean the tineye messed up, claiming Rath to be a Rioter. They should have said Soother. 2. Tineye - Village | Rath - Spiked -- In this scenario, there are two possibilities: A. The Tineye may actually be in-contact with the Seeker, however if this is true, the Tineye should claim ASAP. B. The same as possibility 1, and the Tineye is actually correct. 3. Tineye - Spiked | Rath - Village -- This one is pretty obvious. The spiked are trying to lynch Rath. Here, it is strange that they would say Rath is a Rioter. Perhaps they are trying to throw us off? i don't know. 4. Tineye - Spiked | Rath - Spiked -- This isn't as obvious, but a possibility is that the Tineye posted this, and intentionally messed up their information to either clear Rath, or to imply there is a spiked Tineye. This would probably be to try to get Orlok lynched, as he seems to be a Tineye. I am running out of time, so I am going to move on to Orlok's suspicion of me. Orlok, you said your suspicion on me is because I, "feel ever so slightly "off"." This I find weird, as you don't even know me. I changed my play-style multiple times in LG49, and even then, 49 was so different I would hesitate to use knowledge from that game here. In my case, as that has been my only LG so far, info on my playstyle perhaps would need to come from there, but I don't think it would get you accurate info. I am not trying to say that impressions you get from my language is irrelevant, however, I would appreciate if you take you conclusions with a grain of salt. If you have any reasons to believe I am suspicious other than your gut, I will address those as soon as I get a chance. You have 2 choices. You can trust me or lynch me. If you lynch me, at least you will know I have not been lying to you. Your choice. My only fear is that we have 13 players left in the game. Four of which seem to be completely inactive (Joe, Nohadan, Aonar, Shqueeves). So we have 9 active and semi-active players left in the game. One elim has died, so we probably have 2-4 left. If we assume the worst, 4 left, all of which active, then a single mislynch could cost us the game at this point. That is of course assuming the worst, so we may have 1-2 mis-lynches left before we lose. I am out of time. I won't have any more analysis time Edit: As far as possibilities, I think my 3rd one is the most likely.
  17. Leviathan should be Gancho I think? Same picture. I don't know what to think about Ark being a Noble. I think he acted rather like an elim... Though that was contingent on him being a thug... idk.
  18. Welcome to the shard! Itiah (I think I am here), advised against taking cookies, but also don't give away your breath... Unless it's to me. I joined the shard before reading Warbreaker, and may have made some mistakes... Whats your favorite magic system so far/ which one would you want? Also, if you like the game Mafia, or just games in general that s̶u̶c̶k̶ ̶a̶w̶a̶y̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶T̶i̶m̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶s̶o̶u̶l̶ are really fun, check out Sanderson Elimination (in the role-playing section).
  19. For the sake of not wasting all the time I put into this, I am going to post this anyway. I personally don't think it changes much, but perhaps others disagree? Ok, First thing, when reading this post, please keep in mind that I started it right after Rath's second post. So I have been working on it off and on for ~14 hours. I also wanted to post it before I went to bed, so this probably isn't quite as well put together as I originally intended it to be. I am also nervous that with how late it is, if I keep editing it, I may just make this post worse. I am also going to put my conclusions at the top of my post because... I feel like it. And am tired. I don't need good reasons if I am tired. : ) My conclusion on Ark is... He is a Jester. Except... I don't think jesters are in this game as a role. Which makes this much more difficult. Village-Ark... Just doesn't make sense to me. Avoiding questions. Attempts to draw attention away that actually draws more attention? These are all working against the village. Elim-Ark would make sense if and only if he is a thug I think. Draw as much attention to him to avoid attention being drawn to others. That way if the village decided to lynch him, it wastes an entire day for the village to do so. (or entire cycle in our case with the lack of coinshot) And I would be convinced on him being elim if Meta hadn't said, "not inactive, persay, but holding back"... But now I regret putting the conclusion at the top, as you haven't read that part yet... Sorry. Cycle 1 Ark: Snipexe replied with a counter to Ark's vote, pointing out he had no reason to vote on Snipexe. Then Fifth: Ark wrote both of these things off as a gut read in-thread, and didn't retract the vote. However, I don't understand how you can have a read (gut or otherwise) on someone who literally just posted saying they would post a little later in the day. I PMed Ark and am not happy with the answer I got as to why he chose this vote. But for the moment, I guess I can write this instance off as beginner tenancies/not having time... Devotary expressed concern over Ark during day 1. Though they did retract their vote from Ark by the end of the day. The two players that expressed concern about Ark during cycle 1, both died cycle 1. Probably a coincidence, but something that I think should be noted anyway. Cycle 2 Ark: Ark quickly joins the bandwagon on Itiah after Jondesu starts the votes and Orlok agrees. I think the reasoning behind this vote seems fine. But the timing of it is interesting. Meta had his vote on Ark, but then Gancho and Elandera both voted on him, and Meta retracted saying: I don't know exactly what to think of this as it could either be Meta pulling out of the vote, realizing that elim-Ark actually might get lynched, or it could be he was trying to imply that he was pulling out to give us the impression of the above. The part that makes me most uncertain are the words "but holding back". This really sounds to me that Meta may have been trying to set up Ark. And so far is the only significant defense I have found for Ark. (other than being a jester) Once again, Elandera said something against Ark, and got targeted... This is starting to get weird as people who speak up against Ark seem at this point keep being attacked. It would be a strange pattern for elims to have. Cycle 3 Ark: Ark, I have been told this is your 3rd game. One of which was LG49, which was nontraditional. You are annoyed out of the two games you have played you haven't gotten to be an elim? There will always be a less than 50% chance of being randomly picked to be an elim, as there will be more villagers than elims. This statement just seems weird to me. But Fifth's death breaks the cycle of people Targeting Ark dying. Cycle 4 Ark: I don't think this post means anything. Meta was pretty much going to die regardless, so elim-Ark would want to seem like a villager and vote on Meta. Village-Ark would also likely vote. The apology is just that, an apology. There is no reasoning or anything behind it. Steeldancer said this: This is one of the few posts about Ark we received confirmation on, as we got the response: However, this post doesn't do anything to address or question Steel's post. Instead, if anything, it blows off the comment and then tried to redirect attention to someone else... Now my biggest issue is that this post almost seems half-hearted to me... Steeldancer then... was killed. Though I doubt this has to do with his comment on Ark, as I posted a much more aggressive post towards Ark that same cycle. Cycle 5 Ark: A couple things: By voting early in the cycle, you avoid the appearance of joining a bandwagon. Something you have done in earlier turns. Yet by voting on Rath, someone else who has a large argument for his lynch, you would bring the attention again away from you, and to him. Asking why someone is suspicious of you, while as of that moment, having not addressed any questions directed at you truthfully, is kind of funny to me. I would think that you would want to minimize the amount of back and forth needed to clear you, and start by addressing issues already in thread. You are not suspicious of Bard? I am suspicious of anyone I do not have explicit reason to trust. There is current reason to trust Orlok and Araris, even if they don't trust each other. I personally do not think there is a similar reason to trust Bard. If I have missed something though, I would more than welcome being corrected. Lastly, I feel like you were intentionally making it difficult to get information out of you a couple hours ago. Perhaps I am wrong and you were just really busy IRL. Though if that were the case, I would have appreciated you telling me. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh yeah... And does this count as being ninja'd by Rath, Fura, Ark, Orlok, and Araris? : ) This isn't quite as definitive, or probably as helpful as Orlok's analysis... But its something. I don't think I will be on much until after rollover. Though I will be able to read posts, just not post anything substantial myself.
  20. Jondesu is influential. 3 on praising Araris, 3 on assassinating Ark.
  21. You post relatively consistently twice a cycle, once per day, once per night, showing activity. However your posts are typically between 1 and 3 lines and offer no insight as to you. It seems weird to me that you make an effort to appear active, yet don't actually add to the discussion. you posted that you were upset you have yet to be an elim. That is a rather strange statement to have made on your second SE game. (I am not counting LG49 as it was untraditional. Though you technically were an elim in 49.) I really dont have time to interagate you. I need to do my homework. Sorry, I don't want this post to sound aggressive, but I really do have a lot I need to do in real life.
  22. Sorry, it was from evening 3. Though I also sent it to you in the PM. I also rephrased it there in a much better way I think. If you want to insted just use the PM though as a guide of what info from you I am looking for, it is probably easier to understand. Also, you dont need to share what you told me in PMs publically. (Though you can if you want of course). So just skip the first point.
  23. Badadah, you addressed only one of the concerns I had. Which I something that I mention in my post at the moment. Purely saying you arent an elim, I dont find convincing. If I ask you about 4 things that I interpret to imply you might be an elim, and then you only acnolage one of those 4 things... There is now a fifth thing that I would find you suspicious for. Edit: you explained why you voted for Snipexe. I dont like your explanation, but it is an fine one time excuse. You didnt address address or say you would address any of my other concerns. You have now done that both publically and in PMs. If you offer a public response to my post from (day 4 I think) about you, I may take my vote off you.
  24. I have been working on a post on Ark for... A while. However, I have a lot of homework to do tonight so I dont think I will be able to have it done tonight... I may be wrong though. Quick summary so far, I started off 99% sure Ark was elim, now I am maybe more like 75%. But I am still not finished. *note, percentages are not significant beyond making the point that I am slightly less suspicios of Ark than when I started, but still very suspicious. There are a couple points where I cant tell if Meta is being genuine, or just trying to pocket Ark. Thats my struggle.
  25. There are just so many moments from Brandon's books that hit me. I am quite an emotional reader. : ) Mistborn era 1: (A little context, this was my first Brandon series) Reckoners: Way of Kings: Words of Radiance: Oathbringer
