  1. ... RIP Elandera. I completely forgot about her needing to burn pewter. I am most concerned with Ark and Rath. I am going to reread over the previous cycles again, and will double check if those are founded concerns or not. However, it does bug me that I have been calling for Ark to explain a couple things publicly, and still have gotten no acknowledgement from Ark as to that post. Orlok did seem confidant that Meta was an elim, but just about each sentence in the condemnation of meta were stated as facts, because they were: Basically the entire post was made up of sentences like this. I don't believe Orlok ever stated that Meta is(/was) an elim. He just let the analysis sit in the air. And with what Orlok analysed, it would seem to me justified that he was confident in his prediction. If I had done that analysis, I probably would have been confidant in it too. ... I think it is possible Orlok is an elim, but if anyone other than Orlok had posted that condemnation of Meta, I think we would likely trust them due to their successful analysis. So shouldn't we give Orlok that same benefit of the doubt? Trusting anyone is a risk in this game, but Orlok has done more than many others in this game to warrant trust in my opinion. Ahem! A player I think that has done much less to warrant trust, is Ark. I have been told that Araris is to be trusted, but I also trust Orlok, and I do not want to praise either of you if you are to be at each other's throats. And in that case, I don't know who to praise. So I will poke-praise @A Joe in the Bush. Ark/Joe Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention the part about Orlok being told about Steel being a Lurcher. However, attacking steel immediately afterwards I think would be a bit silly.
  2. *sigh* I need to brush up on my hebrew. I have barely touched it since hebrew school. I only understood the part where the narrator/singer started talking to the kids. ...what if I refuse to play the game? Can I still lose it then? What if I play a game where every time I think about the game, I win the game...
  3. Spiking the rocket might be a bit over-complicated. BoM spoilers: Storms, I should have asked Brandon if you could turn a rocket into one of those... *Checks website to see when next book tour might be*, Rusts!
  4. Umm... They look the same to me. There are 2 blue/purple/something colors. One of them removes a vote, the other creates one. (ninja'd Elandera) Oops, my bad. :/
  5. Blue is praise. The player with the most praise votes has their vote count as 2 votes during the next day.
  6. Sorry Meta, I think you are right about me (and probably some others) overlooking your own defences. Reading back on Orloks and Meta's responses, I think some things, like the voting on bandwagon, makes complete sense for a new player to do. Even looking at myself this cycle, my first reaction was to follow Orlok, and praise him due to the analysis. However, after rereading this, I think it reads much more like Orlok took someone suspicious, and just took everything they said and tried to present it in a light to make Meta look as guilty as possible, whether or not it was justified. I think at this point Meta's death will tell us much about Orlok, and possibly Steel and Araris, though they have been quiet about Meta since Orlok's post. I am changing my praise vote to Araris instead of Orlok, because I too am extremely curious about what Ark has to say. Ark got on this cycle, but I have not seen them respond to my comment on them yet. MetaTerminal/Orlok MetaTerminal/Araris I will try to make sure the colors are correct when on a computer next.
  7. Lol, I hadn't thought of that... If a planet was to become a shard, it would be strange to think about what its Intent might be... Imagine a planet picking up Ruin? Thats just weird to think about...
  8. Alcatraz vs the Evil Librarians
  9. Just rereading Bands of Morning, and after the fight in the train, Wax tells Steris that Wayne actually likes reading... Though admittedly mostly books with pictures. This is then confirmed with the next sentance saying that it is amusing to listen to Wayne make voices when he reads out loud. And he says that Wayne usually reads out loud. With Wayne around Steris and Wax so much in the 6 months between books 2 and 3, if Wayne learned to read during that time, and Wax knew enough about Wayne's habit to read out loud, I think Steris also should have known. Which she didn't, as she acts surprised when she is told. So this is probably information that Wax has had since before Steris and he were involved. This was in a completely serious conversation, so I doubt it was a joke.
  10. Metaterminal/Orlok I think Orlok is the obvious choice to be praised this turn.
  11. Only slightly addicted? We'll soon fix that : P
  12. Welcome Zinc! Have an upvote! What Brandon Books have you read? Which is your favorite? If you had to pick one magic system you could use, which on and why? Do you like role-playing games? Or just games?
  13. Hmm... Well, that is one way to put it. : ) I got flustered while asking my question... It was supposed to be about whether the Radients of old splintered their spren by breaking their oaths, and if that was what Kaladin was in the process of doing with Syl... Unfortunately what I asked was if it was possible to splinter a spren... Which I am pretty sure I have seen asked before... Lessons learned. Next time I go to a signing, I am writing down my question word for word, and am just going to read it. : )
  14. I am currently in line... Grey sweatshirt, blue bag? (I am looking down at my phone at the moment... )
  15. Thanks for the offer. Apperantly they did have tickets at the door, so I am able to get in. Sorry my response is so late.
  16. Personally, I say, "Out of the frying pan and into the deadly pit filled with sharks who are wielding chainsaws with killer kittens stapled to them." However, that one's having a rough time catching on. Ugh, staples are my IRL nemesis...
  17. Lol, fair enough... Though if we put the emphasis on the if in your statement, it would still be better if they never killed... Though would defeat the purpose of the game.
  18. sooo you are saying: ... Elims, please kill more people...? : )
  19. I just found out this evening I could go, but postponed buying a ticket until I knew... Worst mistake of my life... Hopefully they will be selling tickets at the door? ... : /
  20. There are two players I mainly want to hear more from. Orlok, You haven't had time to post, and of course that is understandable... But I don't see why you have to post 1 long message. If you could separate that message into 2-4 different ones, I think that would be both easier for you to write, and easier for us to read. I could be wrong, but just an idea. @Badadah/Ark. I am a bit concerned by your vote on Elandera. You joined the vote on Snipexe turn 1 even though the vote in the first place was just a poke, and wrote it off as inexperience. When questioned on this vote with (IMO) a good counter, you defended it. Again, you then voted on Elandera for the assassinate vote, you did this after everyone seemed to be "soft" clearing her. They shared their reasons why they soft cleared her, but you didn't share any as to why you still think she is guilty. This also happened after several people had said that they were mildly suspicious of Meta, but before many votes had been cast. I could see this as an attempt to clear Meta from being voted on if you are both spiked. You also have only posted 4 (i think) game related posts. 2 of which all you did was cast a vote, 1 defending by saying you are copying other people's votes, and 1 amending your votes. Do you have any thoughts on this?
  21. First Odium needs to say, "No Kaladin, I am your father". Then he and Shallan kiss... Then he joins the Kholins, making them siblings. (... ... ...For those who don't get it, this is a star wars comparison between Luke and Leia, and Kaladin and Shallan...) (But in all seriousness, from the moment Shallan and Kaladin were stuck in the shattered plains, I was thinking, "No Brandon, please don't create this love triangle.". I am so glad Shalladin isn't a thing anymore)
  22. There are so many amazing quotes in those books... My favorite though would probably have to be about how we don't read fantasy books, only real books about the evil librarians ruling the world. : )
  23. But Orlok has been voting. If you think that it is a good idea to praise a spiked, and a good idea to praise a villager, then why not just pick a random person to praise every turn? in fact, Orlok would be a worse person to pick as he would probably be more thoughtful, and pick someone who didn't give away as much information. If you praised someone who was perhaps a bit less thoughtful, you would get far more information. (This is why you should all vote to praise me ) That was a joke. And it has literally no meaning : )
  24. As far as Itiah's death, I mentioned it a bit last night in my post. And while I disagree with the claiming, My first thought when reading through of the game was that if the village knows all the roles, that will help the village. And Itiah said they were inactive for the first little while... They were also decently active during that turn, so I don't really feel comfortable that they were lynched (the entire thing happened while I was asleep : /). I think that if a seeker finds someone (a non-roleless noble) who isn't spiked (obviously), that it would make sense for the seeker to reach out to that person. The seeker can claim the other person's role as proof they are a seeker. Granted, only being 9 roles means there is a 1/9 chance of randomly guessing a role correctly, so the non-seeker in this discussion would be gambling on a 89% chance of that person not lying... Which to me sounds pretty reasonable. Though then again, that is without factoring in how many people there are of each role as we don't know that... so perhaps the spiked could make this less than a 89%... So this actually might not be the greatest idea. I was thinking this through while I was writing it. I am leaving the whole thing in my post, in case other people have ideas on it. But... I am now thinking the best idea is probably what Fifth suggested with lynching the seeker after they have enough results under their belt. I still would like to hear more from @Araris Valerian. You start by saying that you don't think we should lynch either Orlok or Fifth, because of lack of talking other than them. Fifth calls that out as a bad reason not to lynch them, and you change your vote to assassinate Fifth and praise Orlok. But while you do that, you mention that you are paranoid of both of them, and think they both might be spiked. In that case, I don't understand why you would praise Orlok. And as far as Rath, I personally don't see an issue with their posts. Many people read it as, "There is a spiked among the CadCom voters". I read it as, "There is probably a spiked among those voters due to shear amount of people who voted on CadCom." Everyone seems to be agreeing that this is probably right, but then they still go on to vote to assassinate Rath, which I think is counter intuitive. The only way for Rath to actually have been lynched is if 2 Rioters both decided to put votes on him. At least one of which would have had to have come off of Itiah. So this "sooth" seems really strange to me. Perhaps it was the spiked trying to set up Rath. But regardless of who did it, I don't think they checked the votes prior to their action taking place... As regardless of the reason for it, I just don't think it would help. So out of the possibilities you pose, I think it could just as easily be 1, 3 or 4. As I think the action looks like it was made on limited information.
  25. I am done with my homework now, ans will be significantly more active for at least the next week. (Then midterms : /) The safest way I see to accomplish this is to wait for a seeker to contact you. I would hope a seeker would tell people they trust the results, but posting publically I think would basically be suicide for a seeker. Is this the quote you are referring to? I personally didn't read this as if fifth was excluding himself from the village. Kind of like how sometimes when talking to a group of humans you refer to them as humans... Is that just me? ...I dont think so... Anyway, I don't think a spiked would be likely to say something that would obviously alienate them from the village. @Araris Valerian, what made you change your mind so suddenly? if you are thinking that both Fifth and Orlok are spiked, why vote to praise Orlok? For now, Araris/Elandera... Umm, I Apperantly don't know how to colors on mobile... So nevermind. But I will be on in the morning for some real analysis. Fifth (2): Orlok, Araris Ark (1): Meta Xino (1): Rathmaksal Steel (1): Bard Rathmaksal (3): Fifth, Steel Araris (0): Fura Praise Orlok (1): Araris Aonar (1): Orlok Elandera (3): Fifth, Meta Itiah (1): Rathmaksal Bard (1): Steel Araris (1): Bard
