  1. Uh, yeah, you wouldn't gain the powers. That doesn't mean you can't take assimilate the investiture, though. Note: he said that if you ate an aviar, nothing would happen. A normal human can't take investiture out of food they eat.
  2. This is actually a good question. She can't draw investiture from crystals, but she SHOULD be able to draw extra investiture from invested meat. Kind of like burning a metalmind, right?
  3. When magic goes from being voodoo into science.
  4. In calamity, it covers more of how epic weaknesses work, and why that wouldn't work. There is an epic in the first book discussed who could only be killed if it was by 5 people at once. I doubt their biggest fear was 5 people attacking them, no more, no less. Epic weaknesses don't work like that. If that was the case, it would be more obvious, and you would have dozens of epics with the same weaknesses, Heights, bugs, the dark, burning to death, violence, blood, needless, that sort of thing.
  5. I would draw tanks and soldiers with machine guns. I might even get really good at drawing nuclear bombs. I would practice drawing super man. Sonic the hedgehog would probably be my speed based chalkling.
  6. Yeah, some parts like birthday parties, festivals, tribal dances, and national holidays don't really come up that much.

    Aon modifiers

Yeah, I've wondered about this, too What happens if you draw, for instance, "death," but without any mods? Does drawing more mods make it more powerful? It indicates that modifiers were added to make the death aon target an individual, but would it work differently if those lines weren't drawn?
  8. Yeah, I didn't read that. ^^ His suggestion was to do one based off of Roshar only though, right?
  9. Oh yeah, we also need a version of "We didn't start the fire," but that talks about everything that's in the cosmere Kind of like "you can't fight the Home stuck."https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jrhTB2Sij8c
  10. Lift singing "I'm on the edge the edge, the edge the edge, the edge the edge THEEEE EEEEDDDDGGGGEEE!!!!" The king leads everyone on singing a version of "How do we solve a problem like Maria" but with Siri as the theme.
  11. But even if we were, the kandra would be pretty good at imitating our tendency to make mistakes. Even I could be kandra.
  12. He writes geometry, and I had zero interest in geometry before picking up the Rithmatist
  13. Doesn't seem to be that different from what Wax does.
  14. Yeah, but nothing stops someone using a speed bubble from taking aim, cancelling the speed bubble for the instant he shoots, and then remaking the speed bubble, right?
  15. So you could shoot aluminium bullets out of a speed bubble fairly accurately? Edit: oh, wait, nevermind. The bubble would collapse with aluminium bullets inside.. ^^ nevermind
  16. Yeah, balancing the whole list is hard ^^ Anyway, I'd probably go with Elantrian+surgebinding (gravitation and abrasion) I think those would work well together. Edit: any suggestions to make the list more balanced? Or do you think it's fine as it is?
  17. Wait, people actually look at my profile?

  18. Well, fairly straight forward. There's a list of abilities from Sanderson's books. Choose two. One dot point counts as one option. For abilities that need further elaboration, such as surgebinding, etc, please do. Also, this is with the idea that you are in a crazy Sanderson mesh world where all abilities work. (There are highstorms, etc.) •Any two surges (yeah, any two.) •Mistborn OR Feruchemist •2000 breaths (fifth heightening) •Elantrian •Rithmatist AND stamp forgery AND any three lenses. •two artifacts out of shardblade, shardplate, and soulcaster •25 ribbons of sand + saltrify + the ability to make fingernails grow longer, but not stronger ^^ •Mindblades + Faster than light travel P.S. If you choose surgebinding + shardblade, you get an honourblade of whatever two surges you chose, (even if a corresponding honourblade doesn't exist.) Edit: Sorry, I decided to change a few of the things.
  19. I think I'd go double steel, as it's probably the most available metal, and I love the steel allomancy and feruchemy. If compounding was not available, I'd go with bendalloy allomancy with pewter feruchemy. I would love to be able to create speed bubbles. Storing muscle won't annoy me too much, either.
  20. Yeah, at the start, Harmony messed around SO MUCH! (Giving Scadrial the rest they deserve,) before he stopped doing as much.
  21. It stays still because it's a statue. ^^ And the statue of liberty is torn to pieces and destroyed.
  22. Only for america and canada? dam, that sucks.
  23. I'm always blown away by @Calderis answers. They're so simple.
  24. This is from the compounding copper discussion. when you burn a metalmind you end up getting about 10x out of it as you put in. most of the time you would then store most of this back into a new metalmind, which you can also later burn etc. the end result is thta if you can compound a metal, you have access to effectively infinite amounts of the trait you can store. Maybe I'm just missing something, but it should be impossible to get 10x what you put in, if the power comes from the thing that holds the investiture you put in. You would be creating investiture out of nothing. Does @Calderis mean that atium allomancy to atium feruchemy has a natural 1:10 rate, but when your spirit web interferes, the efficiency is reduced to a 1:1 ratio? You know, I think I'll just keep reading for now. I suppose the more I read, the more I'll understand this.
